  • In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

This is my favorite TED talk. A little girl who could not bear to leave a place without writing her name in every nook and cranny so her parents could find her while she traveling farther and farther away from them is a story accompanied by oceans of sadness and rivers of tears. The story is too harsh to bear. Yet Clemantine tells her story and leaves you full of wonder and possibility. The little girl who smiled beads has changed me.

The story of Clementine Wamariya is a very moving, heart wrenching, informative, heroic story. It is a story of a serpent and it's wily, cunning ways in displacing family units in Africa and other parts of the world where it holds this dire history. It is a story of human nature, how it thrives for survival in the midst of severe conflict. It is also a story of the serpent and how it manipulates societies into thinking they are superior and have a right to down throd those it regards with disdain. It is a story of shame for the oppressors for it displays how empty and inhuman they are to allow themselves to take delight in sadistic acts as genocides
