Passing the HGV driving test (module 3) is now split into two sections.
Module 3a is the reverse (off road manoeuvres) test. This involves a reverse exercise and for CE a uncouple and re couple must be completed.
Once you have passed the 3a section you can then take the module 3b driving test.
This video shows how the test should be completed in order to gain a pass. The cat C is quite straightforward to reverse whereas the artic is more challenging.
The video is taken at Movie Makers Addlestone. This is EP Trainings’ DVSA approved test centre for Module 3 a.
This means for the module 3b you will train at EP’s centre and test there too!
