  • In this video, I am reviewing MacX DVD Ripper Pro. This software can rip and re-encode homemade and commercial DVDs to a variety of encoding and file formats. If you have old content still on DVDs that won't see updated release, you may want to rip those discs and re-encode that content to current codecs like H.264 and HEVC.

    Thank you for the detail in your videos. Can you tell us what brand and model External 4K BlueRay Drive you are using or which one you recommend to purchase?

      I use an LG drive in an Archgon enclosure via USBC to my MacBook. I bought the drive already flashed off a seller on the MakeMKV forums.

    I have a question regarding the backed up drive that will hold the files... If I have a 1TB SSD, what do you think is the maximum of the space is safe to use? Is 131 GB free space too much data on drive, if I am only using it to read from? Using this exclusively for my PLEX server.
    TIA
    PS.. I don't use this software, but MakeMKV and Handbrake, as I use a Linux Mint system. JFYOI

    I am converting mu dvd collection to mp4 so when dvds are obsolete or when dvd players are $500 each, i still can watch cheaply. However, i have some Dvds with 2 and 3 movies on the same side disk or 3 to 4 episodes of a series. Macx only burns the first one. Do you know how to burn the whole thing without going to ISO?

    • @Techthusiasm
      @Techthusiasm  Před 8 měsíci

      Not sure, sorry. I would message their support.

    • @philam1973
      @philam1973 Před 8 měsíci

      @@Techthusiasmsent them messages no response at this time. I finally found someone who dies just thus. When macx analyzes a dvd there are multiple titles shown to burn and only one is selected automatically. Don’t know what the others are but with dvds with multiple movies or episodes, these other titles are the other movies or episodes. Deselect the automatic selected title and choose the next. Just make sure the time duration matches the other episode or movie.

    Does MacX DVD Ripper Pro allow for CHAPTER MARKERS? So far i can't find the option. MacDVDRipperPro DOES. Far superior to MacX DVD Ripper Pro---which i consider a rip-off; sorry AF i accidently bought MacXdvd VS. MacDVD.
