Have the mulch kit on my 52" vride, an 61" turf tiger. Works great on leaves. Prefer the quick chute with side discharge for grass. The deflector plates throw the clippings back into the blades. Used to try to do it all with one mower.

Watched this because the neighborhood lawn guy uses this mower with mulch kit. He doesn't collect anything, just uses mower with mulch kit during fall with leaves as well. Doesn't leave anything behind. Most of the lawns in my neighborhood have Bermuda grass. I wanted to know how his mower worked so i could make mine better and not collect any leaves!! I just bought a Tiger Cat 52 and want everything like you do. I want Mulching, side discharge, Foot operated Grass Flap, Accelerator bagging. So far I dont believe this is possible so I'm going with side discharge and Accelerator bagging.
Those are Baffles with the Hurricane Mulch Kit and I saw on the video it clogs grass up in there that as you stated must remove the bolts to clean out the gunk. More work. He said, he removed those, and it is working better. What do you think about the Baffles being added?
How have you made out with your three wishes? Were you able to install some kind of a grass flap Chute blocker and be able to put on a grass catcher while keeping your mulch system intact? If so please share!!
So can you mow all year with the full mulch kit installed? Does it work on fescue grasses when they're wet/sticky when it's growing?
With your mulch kit, what blade works best for you on biweekly cuts that may also have wet grass? I run the standard curvy blade with my mulch kit and not real happy with the cut quality on biweekly grass cuts whether the grass is wet or not. Any tips?
The worst thing about Scag is the blade over lap if you go to fast you get mowhawks in between the blades because there’s only like a 1/2 inch overlap between each blade on my exmark there’s like 1.5 inch overlap I can literally go all out and never leave a single blade standing

What part of the country are you working in? I work in Atlanta and am looking to buy one of these machines, however mulching gets difficult in the August and September months because we get a lotttt of rain and humidity as well as weeds. How does yours handle the thick stuff?
