Aditya Gadhvi is a playback singer and lyricist from Gujarat, India. He has rendered film songs in several Indian languages and has many chart hits. He is involved in Gujarati film scoring and has released a number of singles. His recent performance include the Gujarat Titans' anthem Aava De during the IPL 2023.
Achint Thakkar is a music composer and guitarist who has worked on various web series and films, such as Scam 1992, Rocket Boys, Maska and Monica, O My Darling. He is also known for creating his own solo album, Shalimar, in 2015 He started his musical journey with the psychedelic band Rosemary, and later collaborated with other artists such as Mikey McCleary and Dhruv Viswanath. He is a fan of retro music composers such as R.D. Burman, S.D. Burman, Shankar-Jaikishan and others 1. He is based in Mumbai and graduated from Mithibai College.
Khalasi is a song by Aditya Gadhvi and Achint, released as part of the Coke Studio Bharat: Season 1 in 2023/ The song is a fusion of Gujarati folk and rock music, with lyrics that celebrate the spirit of a seafarer who is not bound by worldly desires. Its folk song and singer is from my state and their community called Gadhvi is known for performing Gujarati folk songs.
The group of female singers voice is cutting through just like a bunch of energetic happy playing children.

It's more like a type of folk music..
it's kinda a mixture western and Arabic because of the influence,
But if you heard there is something like rap in between.. that's called "chhapakdu" that's the part of Gujarat (west of india) folk culture..
Small liners as song.. sometimes known as hellaro,
and other is just a mixture of music..
Main folk music and dance form of Gujarat is "Garba"
And Yes the language of song is also Gujarati

Hindustani is not arabic influenced anyway, I am a Hindustani classical vocal music studentfrom years.
Both carnatic and Hindustani are ancient to India (bharat).
But Kathak feels Persian a lot.

Hindusthani classical music does have arabic influence, in fact it is originated from there as the mughals brought it with them here, while carnatic is completely based or originates from south india. (I'm also a student of hindustani classical music)
@@anujamanjul The Mughals (they're not really Mughals historically speaking, they called themselves Timurid Gurkhani) never had any tradition of music or fine arts. Almost all Indian music is of pre-Islamic origin. Hindustani just got influenced to a degree due to the extensive invasions and ruling.
