- Maurice Bishop's New Jewel Movement ousted Eric Gary's regime in Grenada on March 13 1979.

The People's Revolutionary Government ( PRG) was proclaimed on 13 March 1979 after the New Jewel Movement overthrew the government of Grenada in a revolution.
The government suspended the constitution and ruled by decree until a factional conflict broke out, culminating in a United States military intervention on 25 October 1983.

I was excited when I found this video as I thought it will enlightened me of a period in GND when I was too young understand what was happening. However, I am very disappointed with repeated clips and the lack of dept...more or less distorted..and repeat of the half truths I heard growing up as a child...

Cuba support = Soviet Union support. Cuba was never in a position to send that kind of aide.
