The contesters must be smarter on how they ask the questions. Like in this case he could have asked "what happened 1620?". Saves some seconds right there.

Agreed. I've always thought that 30 seconds just wasn't enough time and it spoiled it. Why not give them a few minutes if they need a few minutes? That would be much better. I assume they give them 30 seconds to so they don't have time to Google it!
