The Knocking on Heaven's gate concert was their first concert back after Hiatus, and I'm sure it was amazing to be there.. However I feel the sound production in the videos is sadly not the best they have ever done. The Piano in this is just not there? You should take a look at the Five of a Kind 21/02/2020 version of Swan Song with the Chopin Intro. It is like a completely different song..
Hope you do more Lovebites, try the "E" songs and you will fall in love with Asami.. Epilogue, Edge of the world and Empty daydream live and after that check out A frozen serenade Live. 4 Masterpieces by the Ladies of Lovebites.
Please do some Aldious, Reincarnation live I think you will like with the Violin and Accoustic guitar, and East of eden Evolve full extended vesion also Violin bassed metal.

About the white dresses. When Lovebites was touring Europe opening for Dragonforce, a French metal magazine interviewed Asami (singer) and her response was, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also, we are all small and the white and gold makes it easier to see us on stage." And they are small, they range from Haruna (drums) at 4' 9" (145cm) to the tallest Miyako (dark haired guitarist) and Fami (bass) at 5' 2" (157cm) and 5' 2 1/2" (158cm)
Welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites (I know it’s your 2nd reaction to them). Thanks for reacting to this awesome band and spreading the word because they deserve more recognition. Some people say that they’re breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. In an interview, Miho (former bassist and founder of the band) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. They have influences from the great metal bands of the past but they have been developing their unique style. Asami used to sing R&B, soul, jazz before she joined the band. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just seven years. Miyako is a concert level classical pianist, trained since 3 years old. If you’re not into heavy stuff, then I recommend “Edge of the world”, “Empty daydream”, “Epilogue”, “Liar”, “A frozen serenade”, “Spellbound”, “Dancing with the devil” (all live)

Can't believe I never commented on this one. You asked about the White dresses. To understand the 'White' - The 'tallest' is *Fami* (new bassist) @ 5'2½"/158cm. Vocalist Asami is 4'10"/147cm. One of the main reasons they wear white is so they will show up better on stage - that is also whey everyone but Drummer Haruna (4'9"/147cm) also wears either heels or platform heels on stage.
I will go against the grain and proclaim that you DID pick the best version for most aspects of this song except the piano. One example being the vocal delivery from Asami, which went from an earlier 9.875 to a 10.125 in this performance! 😁 Plus, I will add that once you've read the lyrics, understanding Asami singing this song is easy and automatic. And for a LOVEBITES performance that is all joy and smiles, the newly released "We the United" performance is the definition of "Happy Metal"! Thank you! Carry on and enjoy!
Although this is a great version for Asami's vocals and Fami's bass, it's mix overall and especially the piano is not so good - try the version from Five Of A Kind, with the Chopin intro (Miyako): czcams.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/video.html which is EXCELLENT all round!
Nice song. I echo grantnealon5101 comment about the piano audio level being drowned out by the guitarists. That was unfortunate given her nice performance at the end of the song. I liked it better when Miyako opens with the piano. At the end you cant hear the piano at the end until the rest of the band stops playing.

This older version is better for two reasons: First, it contains the Chopin introduction. Second, the sound mix is much better, allowing you to hear the piano outro far more clearly than in this version. The one good thing about this version is Asami's lyrics are a bit clearer.
Oh Ms. Funky Crazy, this version is, unfortunately, not the best despite being crazy good.
I am quite certain recommandations will follow (so let me be the first) to listen to the older version with Miyako playing the Chopin Etude to introduce this song in which, she has incorporated both Chopin and Dvorak (From The New World): czcams.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/video.html
And yes, Asami has a clean tone all through her register which is wide.

First of all, good review of yours. Regretfully you ran into the worst version of Swan Song. There are three live versions of this piece on UTube, and the best version is of Zepp Diver City Tokyo 2020 from the album Five of a Kind, with Chopin Revolutionary Etude piano intro and much better sound mixing. You can hardly hear Miyako's guitar solo and epic piano at the ending in this mixing. 2021 Tokyo Dome City Hall version is nice with a real genuine grand piano but no Revolutionary Etude. You may know the reason why it is the intro of Swan Song if you know the story of Revolutionary Etude. @@easyfunkycrazy The reason why a lot of older people love LOVEBITES is because they use a lot of classic Heavy Metal riffs and guitar harmonies. Even though the music is new, it has a very familiar feel to us old people. Also the members of this band are so talented, they can play in the styles of any of the famous Heavy Metal bands perfectly.
Did you get the wrong links about Swan Song because this clip doesn't do justice to Miyako playing the piano. If you got so many links some of the wolfpack must have send you the right link, don't know where this has gone wrong?

Terrible reaction. But even this is not as terrible as the song itself. Another reactor pretends to be a fan to please the cultists. I hate this disgusting and two-faced "praise or say nothing" culture.
The only worse thing than that is the "culture" of people spending their time hating on things because their life is so sad and uninteresting, that this is the only way they can get any attention from anyone. I really pity you, for your own sake, get some help.
Preference in music is subjective, people are different and not understanding that means you don't have a good understanding how the world works. I am not the biggest Lovebites fan out there, power metal just isn't really something I tend to gravitate towards and I can point to plenty of things I am not necessarily a fan of in power metal including in Lovebites tracks, but I do enjoy this track.
Are there cult-like people in the Lovebites fanbase? Absolutely, just like with most Japanese female bands/groups I have seen including fanbases I would count myself in and plenty of ridiculous claims get made by some of them, but there are also plenty of people in there that just like this type of music and can discuss about Lovebites or other bands that they may or may not like as much in a respectful and "normal" way. I have had great discussion with some of the people in this fanbase even though I was explaining what I didn't like about the track. The same goes for some of the other "notoriously cult like" fanbases. Some fans can't seem to understand that there is no reason to attack other fans of Japanese music because the success of other Japanese acts will help out all the others. The main hurdle is the acceptance that there is music outside of English speaking countries that is worth listening to.
So I would say the majority of the fanbase does a better job than you in putting their arguments forward in a respectful manner, that's for sure.
Saying that everyone who enjoys this is a cultist and reactors who like this pretend to like it and do terrible reactions is just a very shortsighted view on the world. Instead of wasting your time filling commentsections for Lovebites reactions and helping them go up in the algorithm because of that (you are actively helping out Lovebites by commenting on their videos), you can better put your time in music you do actually enjoy instead.

I know, while I don't follow the band that closely, I have seen comments like this in the past. I mainly wanted to let them know that they are actively helping out the band by making comments, the more comments on specific topics, the more it gets pushed in the algorithm. I also love discussing with people with differing opinions and it was the "terrible reaction" part that made me comment. Not liking an artist is one thing, nothing wrong with that, saying that reactors or anyone who enjoy music do a bad job or are wrong because you don't agree is an other. An otherwise, just keep reporting them for harassing other people and be done with it. I am sure if multiple people keep doing that every video it will be dealt with.
I have no issue with people not liking things I like (and in this case, I don't even have a horse in the race) as long as they say/discuss it in a decent way without attacking others. But there shouldn't be a place for people who seemingly didn't get educated by their parents on how to have discussions if they start harassing people for who they are, how they think or what they like. If they can't discuss it in a reasonable way, by explaining what they don't like and trying to understand why others do like it and keep spewing infantile bs by attacking others in the comments, than there is no other way than to try and get them banned.
