    "WE ARE BAAAACK !!!" (Asami)
This was the first full song of the first performance in front of full audience after almost 2 years of hiatus due to Covid-19 and departure of former bassist, founder and band leader Miho (for personal reasons), and the first ever performance with and for new bassist Fami (21yo). They were all happy to play, and they had unlimited new energy and enthusiasm and played two powerful concerts on that weekend in March 2023, which resulted in 2 (!) live albums, released on August 23rd and December 20th, 2023.

LOVEBITES - The Hammer Of Wrath lyrics:
What's the worst way to die?
    Burning to death, or drowning?
    Everyone laughs in derision
    There's no hope at all
Why is the world rotting away
Howling in pain, they slowly die
All of the sorrow is murderous
    The insanity
    (Burn up)
    They're calling me
    (Burn up)
    It's do or die
    (Burn up)
    Get ready for hell
(Bring down justice to the wicked)
Don't look away from the mistakes
Open your eyes, and see the truth
When lightning cracks the blackened sky
Listen to the screams of distress
It's like a bad dream but it's not
No way to get out, a living nightmare
Bring down the Hammer of Wrath
Who will be the next to burn?
    God only knows the victim
    Everyone knows they are innocent
    All the hope is gone
    In despair they pass away
There was no hope to begin with
Even the angels are giving up
    Looking down on us
Will this night ever break dawn
(Bring down justice to the wicked)
    SOLO: midori / mi-ya [miyako]

The 5 women are in such a good mood because it was their first live performance after a 2-year break. For the bass player Fami, it was the first ever live concert with Lovebites. Wikipedia says that Lovebites is a power metal band. However, it is true that they play various styles of heavy metal. Besides power metal, they often play speed metal, thrash metal and power ballads.
    This song is thrash metal.
    LB History :
Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in
2018 - Wacken - Open Air in Germany
2018 - Bloodstock Open Air in England
2019 - Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Belgium
2019 - Download Festival in Spain.
In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward.

Fami, the bass player, is all smiles because she has just joined the band and this was her very first live show. She replaced long time member Miho (see older videos for her). The blond guitarist, Midori, is so tan because she also competes in body fitness competitions. Check out the official music video of Judgement Day to see how cut she is.

A deeper dive into LOVEBITES will reveal many songs with very positive and empowering lyricism, though they round things out with somber tracks and other perspectives. Asami shines much more in my opinion on tracks such as "Nameless Warrior", "Holy War", "Swan Song", and "Edge of the World" to name but a few. BTW, all of these are best in their live performances. Thanks!

Let‘s explain their overwhelming happiness and joy in this concert and especially this song …
They were so happy, because this is the first song of their first gig after a break of two years. And even the first performance without strict Covid rules for more than 3 years. It’s also the first concert ever with their new bassist Fami, so that‘s why she even smiles more as her band mates.
Original bassist and founder Miho left the band in 2021 and they went through hard times with not playing concerts because of that and covid for such a long time.
Also the singer and the dark haired guitarist are young moms, what could effect their smiles too.

This song was written by former bassist Miho. Miho wrote some of Lovebites best "Thrash" songs, which tended to be much darker than most of the other Lovebites songs. For the most part, Lovebites songs tend to be very uplifting.

Welcome to the world of Lovebites music. This band is incredibly talented!
It seems to me that the guys have already explained why they are so happy during this performance and that they play in different genres of music, not just power metal.
They are always dressed in white (not always anymore, but in the vast majority of cases). They always play these amazing long guitar solos! I love their guitar solos!
Perhaps after a couple of songs you will fall in love with Asami's voice. This happens to many listeners!
Your favorite guitarist Midori, as you called her gyaru-style, took up sports fitness during Covid and even won medals in Japanese competitions! She is really cool!
Another guitarist, Miyako, almost never smiles on stage. This is such a stage image. She is actually a very cheerful person. She also writes most of Lovebites' music.
I suggest you watch their live performance "Swan Song with Chopin Intro". It is not on their official CZcams channel. This performance shows another side of Lovebites.
Thanks for your reaction. More Lovebites on the channel! And welcome to the WolfPack!

this was the their first show after an hiatus of over 2 years. hence " weeeee aaaaare baaaaaack!!! at the beginning.. it´wasn´t clear how long the covid break would be. on top of that founder and backbone bassplayer miho left the band during covid break and two of them got married and became mothers. but they stayed positiv, most of their songs are positive and about not giving up-. so they searched a new bassplayer this was her first show in front of a real big audience. now you can imagine why they all were so happy. this band has no peer, sorry aldious. I am addicted to asamis great voice and killer stage presence..as are many of the wolfpack. thanks for your appreciation of them.stick with them, their rabbit hole is very deep.

They look so happy because this is the show opening after two year hiatus caused by bassist missing, and the very fist live performance with a real band for the bassist. The former bassist was a great bassist but almost miracle like, they found a bassist as good as the former after a world wide long ran audition. The new bassist Fami is a prodigy on bass. Watch her video recorded when she was still in high school and it was just a few years ago czcams.com/video/Q_UqztwYAOU/video.html. If you want to know the former bassist Miho, watch this video Swan Song + Revolutionary Etude czcams.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/video.html, and you'll know the dark haired guitarist Miyako is a genuine genius. She is an amazing musician like Jill of Unlucky Morpheus.
I think you should know their most beautiful side. Try a most beautiful progressive A Frozen Serenade czcams.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/video.html for your next reaction to Lovebites. BTW, Miho's bass line is just epic on this piece, just beautiful. If you like all slow soulful ballad with heartbreaking solos of the guitar duo, try Epilogue czcams.com/video/JIAJYBuuKGM/video.html. Enjoy!!

'Bikini Fitness' and 'Body Fitness' refer to women's competitive Bodybuilding. 😊Women's Bodybuilding is not necessarily about big muscles. For women there are different categories, including those where large muscles are present, similar to men's Bodybuilding. But 'Bikini Fitness' and 'Body Fitness' are not one of them.
Midori began her participation in competitions in the 'Bikini Fitness' category. Large muscles are not needed in this category. This is the most accessible category for women. Therefore, this category is chosen by the majority of women starting bodybuilding.
In the 'Bikini Fitness', a natural, beautiful and proportionate developed body, the absence of cellulite, and a combination of femininity with sportiness and grace are valued. In this category, great attention is also paid to photogenicity and the ability to present oneself. The whole image of a woman is important, including the combination of swimsuit, shoes, makeup and hairstyle.
In 'Bikini Fitness', pronounced muscles of large volume and excessive dryness of the body are not welcome. For this, judges reduce points for participants in competitions.
Midori then decided to take part in a more challenging women's competition category called 'Body Fitness'.
In 'Body Fitness', the muscles should be more pronounced and more prominent than in 'Bikini Fitness'. To achieve this, you need more intense training with weights (barbell, dumbbells, machines, etc.) than in 'Bikini Fitness'. A more strict approach to nutrition (more restrictions in the choice of foods), etc.
So we can say that Midori is engaged in Bodybuilding. During training, the same exercises as in men's Bodybuilding: working with a barbell, dumbbells, on machines, etc. Only different weights, a different number of repetitions and approaches in exercises, etc. So far, Midori has limited herself to 'Body Fitness'. And I really, really hope that Midori does NOT move on to the more difficult categories of women's Bodybuilding. 🙄In those categories where women are already starting to use a lot of pharmacology, which makes muscles larger, but takes away from women part of their femininity and natural beauty (and often health in the future). After all, You 🙏, me (Midori is my favorite 💚member of the band) and other fans of LOVEBITES appreciate Midori, first of all, for the fact that she is a talented and technical musician.🤝😊🤘

Well, you’ve just witnessed one of the best bands in the world heavy metal history (male or female). These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile proficient musicians. Their live performances are just outstanding. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in almost little more than six years. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Miyako (black hair guitarist) is also a concert level classical pianist. Miho (former bassist and founder of the band) said in an interview that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. Miyako doesn’t look exhausted, she’s just relaxed and concentrated. A very few people don’t like Asami’s vibrato and it takes some listens to get used to it; but I cannot imagine Lovebites without her. My next recommendation is “Judgement day” (live or MV)
To me, I understand this is a reaction so I don’t care if you pause the video as long as there’s not too many pauses. I always can watch the original video and also I have the related Blue-Ray.
    I appreciate your honest reaction.

In many ways, Lovebites are the natural evolution from Aldious. I love Aldious but Lovebites have taken the musicianship to a new level. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they waited out the pandemic and searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later.
They did their first live performances in more than two years in summer of 2023, with their new bassist Fami. Their very first show was commemorated on the DVD “Knocking on Heaven’s Gate”. They have posted four performances from that DVD-“”Hammer of Wrath”, “Judgement Day”, “Nameless Warrior” and “Liar”. All of them are barn-burners. They have also posted “Stand and Deliver” from the second concert.
    Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet).
Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing.
In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” czcams.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/video.html
The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."
Here are more clips you should check out:
“Set the World on Fire” czcams.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/video.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
    “Don’t Bite the Dust” czcams.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/video.html, from the same concert;
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: czcams.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/video.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
    Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: czcams.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/video.html;
    Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” czcams.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/video.html;
And their most reacted-to video, “Holy War”: czcams.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/video.html
Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. She is self-taught on the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: czcams.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/video.html.
For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” czcams.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/video.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” czcams.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/video.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
    "Shadowmaker" czcams.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/video.html
This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
    "When Destinies Align" czcams.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/video.html
    "Glory to the World" czcams.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/video.html
    "Winds of Transylvania" czcams.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/video.html.
Finally, the audio tracks of some of the new album are up on youtube, and worth checking out. The band clearly came out swinging and wanted to make a statement. Every song on the album is a showcase of their incredible talent and songwriting capabilities. “Stand and Deliver” is a thrasher with a fun video of them in the studio. “Soldier Stands Solitarily”, the final song on the album, is being touted by some as the best thing they’ve done so far-I encourage you to see and decide for yourself!
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!

One of the first things to note is that Lovebites is not just a power metal band (Wikipedia is not entirely accurate). They play a seamless and innovative blend of speed-power/thrash/prog/neoclassical metal/heavy rock/power ballads which makes their sound unique. For example, the song you have just reacted to, "The Hammer of Wrath", is a thrash track, not power metal. Secondly, a lot of Lovebites' thrash songs don't fully showcase Asami's (lead vocalist) broad and powerful mezzo-soprano range. If you want to thoroughly appreciate her vocal prowess and also how truly talented this band is, check out this prog track - "Edge of the World" LIVE : czcams.com/video/UZjxMjBop7w/video.html .

Excellent reaction. I can see you really enjoyed a band that is at the top of their craft. Each of these ladies is a master technician at their instruments. On top of that, they play with feeling as well. Your comment about Miyako looking tired... she is just very relaxed when she plays. I've seen some people that say she looks bored. I think it is just that she knows the music so well, she does not have to be concentrating on every note. By the way, she is also a concert-level classical pianist as you can hear if you watch Swan Song with the Chopin intro from the Five of a Kind Tour in 2020.
I'll suggest that when you do reactions, do not pause during solos. You're bound to have people start attacking you if you do.

Well thought through reaction Ms Funky Crazy. Lovebites is a happy band playing happy metal.
The "bored" expression of Miyako is part of their scene personas; fire (Midori, tanned, extrovert), "ice" (Miyako, pale, cool and introvert).
Coming up next - to show some more of what this band can do - should be
Swan Song (the original version): czcams.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/video.html

Welcome to the Wolfpack! (the name for the Lovebites fans :D) - Glad to see you fully enjoying the best metal band on the planet. It's great to see more people discovering our ladies! I encourage you to check out some of their live performances too - in my decades of metal fandom, I've never heard cleaner sound out of a band live. Also, they while they usually wear the white gowns that are their usual "Battle Uniforms", one of their newest songs "Stand and Deliver" is one of the few MVs they have done in casual clothes.
    Some data on the band:
The lead singer (Asami) is the group goofball, and is known as "The One and Only Voice" - and metal is a new genre for her vocally. She does a lot of writing, also.
Haruna is the drummer - called "The Little BIG Engine" - because she just crushes the drum parts and rhythm section on every song, and she is completely indefatiguable!
Miyako is our dark haired guitarist who also does all the background synth and piano work. In addition, she also writes and does everything with that calm, cool professionalism. :) She is called "The Golden Touch" for a reason - everything she touches turns gold.
Midori is the blonde guitarist with the amazing hair, and she is called "The Crazy Shredder" - because, well, it is what it says. She's insanely good and aggressive shredder. She also performs in bodybuilding competitions. :)
On bass you have the amazingly talented Fami - "Shining Fingers" - new to the band as of 2023, and has injected even more energy and passion into the group. She is the youngest of the group, and has amassed an amazing CZcams following as a solo artist before auditioning for Lovebites and being accepted wholeheartedly by the band and the fans.
    Recommended further listening:
    Music Videos:
Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down) - latest video, and definitely more thrash.
Judgement Day - debut off the latest album
    Live Videos:
Swan Song (with Chopin Intro) - shows a lot of range - including classical influences, which includes Miyako playing a Chopin piece on piano.
    Spellbound - for that 80's euro-metal vibe.
Frozen Serenade - more amazing range, and a killer live video
We the United (off of Five of a Kind) - for just a great all around show-ender.

You can take any song, and LOVEBITES won't disappoint you. They are playing tight, precise, relentless, effortless and fast. Their solos are always interesting and vary a lot. Asami's voice may not suit the first time you hear it, but she has enormous breath control and an adorable range with a clean voice and a strong vibrato. All 5 of them are masters of their craft, enduring and almost perfect. Fasten your seat belt and enjoy your ride!

Lovebites are the best power metal band today your favorite guitar 🎸 player is Midori Tatematsu (Japanese: I*4 #x, born May 28, 1988) is a Japanese heavy metal musician and fitness competitor. She is best known as a guitarist of the all-female band Lovebites since their founding in 2016. She was previously in the all-female band Gekijo Metalicche from 2013 to
2016. Midori began weight training in November
2021 during a hiatus in Lovebites' activities, and has since earned two silver medals in fitness
    competitions.
Midori aka blonde shader! Then you have miyako one of the best guitar players in the world today and she plays piano and bass and drums keyboard just about everything! She incredible! She does a lot of the song writing to the you have lead singer Asami she is only 4’11 not very tall and she sings powerful and beautifully one of my favorite singers I felt the same way about her to but now I love Asami! And then you have you amazingly talented bass player Fami aka Shiny fingers! She join Lovebites back in October 21 2022! She only in her twenties and to be that good of a bassist she going to be one of the best for sure then you have Haruna aka little big engine she tiny to the drummer 🥁 she one of my favorite drummers ever! she so amazing! Then you have original bassist MIho and founder of the band but she left the band few years ago but it’s ok Lovebites still going strong today I miss her though MIho one of my favourite bassist hands down! Thx for checking them out try Swan Song +
Chopin Intro (Live at Zepp in Japan you see how amazing Asami voice is 😊🤟👍🇯🇵🐺

It would be more accurate to say that LOVEBITES is a heavy metal band. They play different types of metal. For example, 'The Hammer Of Wrath' is 100% thrash metal. 😊As for Wikipedia, unfortunately, there are errors there in the article on LOVEBITES. Including the fact that they are called a "power" metal band. Those people who call (including wrote on Wikipedia) LOVEBITES a "power" metal band, for the most part, are not very familiar with the full discography of LOVEBITES. And they are judged by several songs. This is a clarification, not a criticism of you.🙏☺
LOVEBITES is a cheerful band that brings positivity to its listeners. That is why, since the formation of the band, the ladies have chosen white stage dresses and high-heeled shoes, ect. Which, at first glance, contradicts the heaviness of the music they perform. And not typical for metal bands, the vast majority of which dress in black clothes, chains, rivets, bodies covered with tattoos, etc., try to be brutal (even female metalheads), with ferocious faces and other attributes associated with metal, especially European and American.
P.S. A song is a complete work. In order to “hear” and understand an unfamiliar song, it is advisable to check it, minimizing the number of pauses. And it is advisable to talk less during pauses. It’s better to discuss a song after watching it, when you have a general impression of what you heard (saw). This is not criticism, this is advice. 🤗

“We are Lovebites, and we play Heavy Metal!” (Much better than ALDIOUS, actually.)
I take the lyric to be a reflection on Neil Young’s sentiment that it is, “better to burn out than to it is to rust.” Or, as 松尾レミ sings, 「右か左か 選びな さあどうする」.
MIDORI is tan and ripped because she is a competitive body builder. (Does one still see KURO GYARU or YAMAMBA in Tokyo?) Her look has changed significantly over the past six years.
Teenage FAMI looks so happy because she got the Golden Ticket when LOVEBITES chose her to replace departing co-founder/bassist MIHO ROSANNA. ASAMI exclaims, “We. Are. Baaack!,” because this was the opening song for their first public performance following a nearly two-year long hiatus.
HAMMER OF WRATH is a powerful but shouty song that does not reflect ASAMI’s vocal skills. (She was singing Soul/R&B previously, and never listened to Heavy Metal before joining LOVEBITES.) The hear a COMPLETELY different side of the band, listen to A FROZEN SERENADE (live) - czcams.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/video.html
Also RAISE SOME HELL (live) is a song about being an all female Heavy Metal band, and is their most joyous and boisterous composition - czcams.com/video/zamSQD0JUFk/video.html
For a deep cut, go back to the beginning and listen to the LOVEBITES EP, where ASAMI sounds even better SINGING IN JAPANESE on the original version of BRAVEHEARTED (audio only) - czcams.com/video/BbFXnzhJiiQ/video.html

Great reaction! I appreciated all of your thoughts throughout, and it was also very interesting to have a western reactor in Japan reacting to a Japanese band, so I appreciate that too! I subscribed, in case you check out some more Lovebites. I hope you do! The guitarist you immediately liked is Midori, nicknamed "Crazy Shredder." They all have nicknames they gave each other.
So much to say! First, since you mentioned it more than a few times, and rightly so, as a first observation. Hammer of Wrath they have used a few times to open shows. It's a great show opener. Such energy and driving force. It is typically proceeded by Awakening. I very highly recommend checking out the 2020 show opener version of this, with Awakening, for the better way the song feels imho. I prefer it to this version. czcams.com/video/otJZPUCwyOM/video.html No need to react to the same song twice though. The reason they are all so happy here, is their former bassist left the band in 2021 and they went on hiatus for quite a while, had to find a new bassist, and this is their first show back, first song of the first set back, which is why Asami yells "We are back!!" and everyone is so happy during this song (ok, except Miyako, who is probably happy on the inside, but on the outside she is her usual focused self). And then, Fami, their new bassist, is happy a level beyond that, because two fold - one, it is the first time she is in front of a crowd like this, but also two, she has a really popular YT channel and the last year I guess she was unhappy that her music career wasn't going anywhere. Now it is!
On the lyrics and white. Somewhere in their band founding it was decided that they wanted to show that metal did not have to be all black and dark lyrics, so Asami typically writes hopeful, positive lyrics, and they always wear white playing live. Miho wrote some songs though, so you get a few like this one.
I'll admit, I came to Lovebites from Nightwish, heard Holy War first, and at first I wasn't sure how I felt about Asami's vocals. That changed quickly! They are now my favorite band of all time! I tried so hard to be at this comeback show in Tokyo last March. It was such a bummer to fail to get a ticket and now I wish to be at the one in Tokyo in September. I want to see them in Tokyo, but also seeing a bit of Tokyo too would be a plus. I have never loved a band that much to fly halfway around the world as a first choice.
Asami has a ton of power for being 4'10" and lots of resonance, as well as deeper midtones. She comes from an R&B background. The color of her tamber is maybe not what you'd expect. I'll suggest another side of them right off the bat: Empty Daydream. A personal favorite, but not usually one I would recommend newly. Usually people want more of the head banging and guitar shredding, which they have in spades. Empty Daydream has some vocal harmonies, showcases more of Asami's range in vocal tones and color, a little of the "Golden Touch" (Miyako) on piano, and right away shows you that they are not one-sided and have a really, really deep catalog. I hope you check out more! They are very, very fascinating and addictive to watch as you see more of their stage presence and get to know them. Also, the most talented band I have ever heard honestly. czcams.com/video/BkPxcnsRjlk/video.html

Look at Midori's, the blond guitarist's, face. I'm pretty sure that she is not 100% Japanese but she has some other south-east Asian influences in here genes, hence the darker skin. She's a bodybuilder, too, and takes part in fitness competitions, so maybe that's why she likes her skin tanned.
Miyako, the dark-haired guitarist, is the musical genius of this band. She composes a great part of their songs and not only plays guitar perfectly but also piano. Here's the proof...
"Swan Song" with Chopin intro live from 2020: czcams.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/video.html
Asami, the singer, is a trained ballerina. She used to sing Soul/R&B and before the other Lovebites members asked her to join their band she never had any contact to metal.
Fami, the bassist, just recently joined the band. She is ten years younger than the others but she has five times the subscribers on her YT channel than Lovebites itself.
Haruna, the drummer, is called "little big engine". No need to say more about her.

    Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥
Here some information about the band:
LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and their first EP and album came out in 2017. At this point they have already released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came Covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.
Recently their album „Judgement Day“ was voted #15 in best metal albums of the year 2023 by readers of Metal Hammer UK. What is a fantastic result for a still relatively unknown band. And they will appear at several huge metal festivals this year again, a world tour is just announced.
LOVEBITES finished touring Japan in October. Earlier this year in March they played their comeback show, 2 evenings at the same venue. This was their first live gig since 2021 and the very first show with their new bassist Fami. There are 4 videos from evening one on their YT channel. One of them is „The Hammer of Wrath“ which you‘ve just reacted to.
The band members are (including their official nicknames) ...
Asami on vocals (the one and only voice):
Has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer
Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch):
She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, also she is a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, she loves her pets and Star Wars
    Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, does songwriting for a few songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Best drummer in the universe (IMO), wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3, also the band was Miho‘s idea, she and Haruna were the founding members!

    1-) the bassist was very happy for two reasons: it was her first show as a bassist in this band and in addition this was the first song of the show;
2-) about your constant comment about the song's lyrics being depressing and violent, you were unlucky that the first song of theirs that you read the lyrics to was this one, almost all of their songs talk about optimism or disappointments in love, it's rare that they talk about violence, read the lyrics of "rising" or "glory the world"

You want recommendations. Hanabie you already have seen. I have two Japanese all female rock/metal groups that you have not reacted to that I think you would like.
BAND-MAID - hard rock and sometimes prog rock. And you loved bass, then you will love MISA (all caps), one of the best rock bassist you can find. And she is special, she is not playing in the background. You do hear her and she plays insanely many notes. The drums and the guitar also is top notch. The drummer is, as MISA, also insane, do not follow common patterns. Its a fun and skilled group with lots of good songs. They have one and a half lead singers. The founder of the band, the rhythm guitar player and backup singer Miku, also sing lead sometimes. Actually, she is the orignal lead singe, but she decided that she needed a better one. You like happy. They are happy.
Nemophila - metal group, but actually very versatile and do other stuff. They have made tons of covers and have rather many originals. The originals generally are heavy. The singer has a raspy nice voice and can scream, and do so in many songs. I would say it is fun to both listen to their originals and their covers. They are a totally banger cover band. They mostly cover rock songs, Western and Japanese, but with a slightly more metal sound; they have a raspy screamer two 7 string guitars and one 5 string bass and a spectacular drummer. This is also a happy band. The drummer and bass players are known as the laughing thunder. BTW - the drummer Tamu is special, one of Japan's best and most known drummers. Two mothers in this band, Mayo and Tamu.
Then, of course, Lovebites is so much fun. Two mothers in this band, Asami and Miyako.
All three: Lovebites, BAND-MAID and Nemophila, almost only do bangers. Almost all they do is good. So, you cannot go wrong. Nemophila is quite new though (even though the members are veterans) so there are some older live videos of bad quality.

Hi, in general, I enjoyed your reaction. But the amount of times you paused it was way way too much. Especially in the beginning when you let the music play for 10 seconds then talked for 30. SEVERAL TIMES! But then later, you were pausing any time a new thought entered your head to make the slightest comment. By the halfway point, I was skipping past every pause to the next music break. I understand you need to pause it for copyrights but not this much. In my opinion, you got to let the song play some and get a flow between the pauses. Because it's a subtle thing for the reactor to keep the reaction about the song and not themselves. All I am saying is that the song is under 5 minutes long and your pauses WHILE THE SONG WAS PLAYING was another 5 minutes. Talk all you want before and after the song. Have one Long pause and two or three short ones during the song and thats it. Tops.
Just my opinion. Thank You. :)

You made me laugh a lot ! 😂😂😂NEMOPHILA was officially formed on September 5, 2019. NEMOPHILA's first concert took place on September 14, 2019. NEMOPHILA had not yet been formed, but LOVEBITES had already performed at the largest international heavy music festivals in Germany, Great Britain (2018 and 2019), Spain, Belgium, Japan and made a European concert Tour (in 2018).
The first digital (!) Single (3 songs) by NEMOPHILA was released on February 29, 2020. NEMOPHILA's first Studio Album was released December 15, 2021.
LOVEBITES formed in May - June 2016. Before the first Single NEMOPHILA was released (February 29, 2020), LOVEBITES had already been released (from May 2017 to February 19, 2020) on physical medias (not digital like NEMOPHILA!):
      - 2 EPs
      - 1 Single
      - 3 Studio Albums
      - 2 Live Albums
      - 3 DVDs/Blu-rays full-length concerts (including the performance of LOVEBITES at one of the world's largest metal festivals Wacken Open Air -2018, in Germany),
      - 6 Music Videos.
And, unlike NEMOPHILA, all the songs released by LOVEBITES were their original songs! For example, NEMOPHILA has 45 covers of songs from other bands!!!
Also LOVEBITES in 2018 (London, UK) received the prestigious GOLDEN GODS Award from the authoritative Metal Hammer as 'Best New Band'. That is, they were recognized as the 'Best New Metal Band' in the WORLD 15 months before the formation of NEMOPHILA !
NEMOPHILA was still little known, and Metal Hammer in April 2020 had already included the Studio Album of LOVEBITES 'Electric Pentagram' (released February 19, 2020) in the list of '20 Best Metal Albums of 2020'.
Etc. etc. This is only a small part of the facts of what LOVEBITES achieved even before the appearance of NEMOPHILA.
JINGER? You made me laugh. JINGER and LOVEBITES are absolutely two different genres of metal, absolutely two different styles of singing, behavior on stage, etc. and so on. The level of mastery of musical instruments by the ladies from LOVEBITES is higher than that of the musicians from JINGER (with all due respect to them!)

To clarify; Asami's vocal style reminds me of Rob Halford's (Judas Priest) delivery style. I don't know the histories of these various Japanese bands because I have only just discovered them over the past few months. guitarzen5999 pointed out my chronological mistake about Lovebites copying Nemophila's use of front stage platforms to stand/rest on when it was likely the other way around. My bad! Likewise, Tatiana from Jinjer (I misspelled the 1st time as well😱) also uses a platform at times. The common "stage theatrics" theme was the use of the platforms. I agree, the other bands are unlike Lovebites. Thanks for the feedback!
