Ministry of Labour and employment government of India issued a circular to all ZOs and ROs on June 21 2024 to inform it's offices the below decision.
Subject: Special drive for updation off pending digital life certificates through newly recruited assistants- regarding.
Madam, Sir,
As you are aware, all pensioners under employees pension scheme, 1995 are required to update date their life certificate (LC) within here 1 year from the last submission of their life certificate/ jeevan praman. Accordingly, pensioners will have to submit their life certificate or jivan Praman during the same month in the next year also failing which pension would be stopped from the succeeding month.
However, observed that 4,49288 number of life certificate are pending for updation as on June 19, 2023 more than 3 years.
In light of the significantly large number of digital life certificates (DLCs) painting for updation for more than 3 years, it is imperative to initiate proactive actions for bridging the gap of pensioners who are not receiving pension by updating dLCs pending for more than 3 years. To this end, yah mantlank special drive is initiated from 20th June 2024 where newly recruited social security assistants (SSAs) will visit the concerned pensioners under the guidance of bail mental to provide door step services to pensioners Umang app and facilitate submission of pending DLCs. ‪@employeespensionerstv‬
