Kudos to KT for speaking honestly about Throw Pink. We need more of this.
Something I never noticed before with the Holyn Handley shot on 18 is that the spotter was indeed watching the disc, even walking towards it as it finished its flight, and he didn't mark the spot. I think that was a clear indication that it never crossed, and that lack of a marked spot should have been discussed with the card and at the very least, they should have communicated with the spotter to get their opinion.
This was a total conspiracy against kristin the goat they conspired during the the end of the season to take her down because holyn,missy,butch aka(the pink haired loser)and I'm sure that paige was in on it also reason being they were tired 😫 of getting their asses kicked by tattar................

🎯 That’s how I saw it. Missy is not a nice person. Every interview I listen to with her it is “whoa is me” like all those legacy athletes in her high school, she never had a chance and DD telling her not to smile bc of her “teeth”. Ya right Missy, I don’t believe you for one hot second.

Was just at the local disc store to buy an extra star destroyer but couldn’t do it because I forehand dominant and there was serious flashing issues I felt would hurt my hand. Then I checked other discs from other brands to check for flashing issues and disc mania and prodigy were the only ones that had nice smooth finish. Why are big companies like innova not dealing with this flashing issue. Must be a bad run because I’ve had lots of innova that didn’t have the sharp edges. I hope all disc companies work on eliminating this issue in the future but honestly thinking of bagging some more disc mania and prodigy in the future.
Prodigy is well known for having terrible flashing issues in their product
Felt a few prodigy disc at play it again sports the other day and the flashing was the worst I’ve ever felt from them (all new molds)

I mean...All Discraft in one card and HH made it "inbound" when it clearly never crossed. Makes sense. I was there. Most everyone that saw it said she never crossed inboud. That tree is well out of bounds btw.
Last round of the majors could have independent judges on every hole. Leave the early rounds and lower tier tournaments up to the players (as the rules are now).

Is the DGPT not greedy / profitable enough to pay full-time officials? How much does the PDGA/DGPT swindle / profit each tournament? The ridiculous, 5 figure or less, giant checks each tournament certainly aren't the lions' share of the profits.

SWISS - I can honestly say you can do ALOT better bud. No disrespect to you or to Holyn. And I genuinely wish her the best.
This is NOT a difficult situation. If you tee and a spotter is down range. And the spotters job is to mark discs that came in bounds but then rolled or flew out subsequent and he/she does not place a flag. Simple - call a provisional. Walk up to spotter with card mates and politely ask spotter what he/she witnessed. If spotter is confident then probably go with that or in the alternative play both discs through the hole. But whatever you do DO NOT allow the spotter to just “peace out” like Holyn said. That’s just ridiculous.
She most likely knew it was OB. And Kristin who I believe is a very honest person said she saw it herself and it was OB. No reason to really believe she is lying.
Appreciate all your hard work and love the videos. But sometimes - you need to speak up on what is honestly not a difficult situation once thought out logically and rationally. Wish you would opine.

I'd love to just pay $5 for my 10 cents worth of plastic instead of paying $15 so that some pro can get half a million bucks. Someone's gonna make a fortune by just selling extremely good quality discs without all the BS that drives up costs.
Where you finding tour player discs for $15? These days signature discs are all $25.

If they throw a flag, blow a whistle, hold up a card? It's incredible how calm people always are accepting their ruling.
Disc Golf has a hell of a lot of luck with tree kicks, roots, weather between cards... We reallllly don't need to worry about 1 inch and a white sprayed line.

Gannon would be stupid to stick with Prodigy in my opinion. There was so much trouble and even a lawsuit. Better switch to another manufacturer. He still is a great talent.
Overall I think the European woman will even become more dominant over the American field. My reasoning... in Europe there probably are not a lot of "goons" on the courses, just a bunch of people that stay to their card and respect the autonomy of everyone else. Which creates a more desirable environment overall for women to play as they please. Or am I totally wrong.
Judges are not the answer. There are simple solutions to be mentioned for holes where a player might throw over OB and have a chance to fight through tress, bushes, etc. 1) Design holes with retee/throw or drop zone 2) implement an combo OB-Hazard: The thrower can choose to treat the area as OB or Hazard (would again be hole/course design problem then) 3) Push OB's off tree/bush lines further so its inside all hanging branches: no reason players (or judges) should have to debate if the disc cross a line or not while bouncing around in some branches on its way back inbounds.

Innova already resigned Calvin. They should add some fresh faces, but I bet they will try to add some slightly less well-known (and cheaper) players with lots of potential to break out.
The mistake with the Throw Pink controversy is not having a drop zone associated with that particular OB line. It's a set-up for drama.
I doubt anyone will get Paul/Ricky/Simon money and probably no ten year contracts with the post pandemic decline in disc sales, unless there’s a bidding war for someone like Gannon or Eagle.
atleast here in norway disc sales have pretty much gone up and atleast for MVP after simon moved there.. in 1 year our lost disc had maybe 1or 2 mvp disc, now its 1-2 mvp every week and its many of the bigplayers fav discs now.

companies would be better off putting the money into tournaments. if a company has a 5 million dollar payroll for a "team" that doesn't play against other teams and spent that money on a ten event series with 500k purses that would have their brand all over it it would draw a lot more attention from other sponsors. The top players would be able to earn a good living as well as side deals for discs, etc. It's a joke that the top earners on tour barely make 100k and most traveling players are lucky to make enough money to keep going.
Innova has never spent big money on pro contracts and shouldn't start now that the covid boom is over.
I mean.... If Eagle is available can you imagine the discs he'd sell!?
@@southbeachtalent Innova already sells more discs than anyone, and the disc golf market is currently leveling off/contracting, not expanding. Casual players do not care about Eagle or any other pro. I've been playing 20+ years and have never purchased a disc because of a pro's name.
@@trev3971 I hear ya man. I started in 2019 and still haven't bought a signature disc. And you're right about Innova. Their business strategy focuses on pumping out mass production and being the go to for beginners/ casual players. They sell the beginners sets Walmart and sporting goods stores and it's the smart way to go. They basically own that market. I mean now as a casual player/ fan for 4 years I still throw their stuff. I like their discs. And I agree that the current market has flattened, however more and more people are getting invested in the sport. And when their skill sets improve and they want to start trying everything out, most likely they will spend good coin on signature discs. The next couple of years are crucial to the market, obv
Rules are outdated and need to be written for courses that are longer to be challenging for pros. This also makes it impossible to govern your card.

Her competitive performance has been poor this season, for a lot of understandable reasons. However, I believe her disc sales are still strong.

He didn't say Chris was going anywhere, he simply said his contract is up which makes him a free agent, which is 100% factually accurate. Even if there is a 99.99% probability of him resigning, that does not change the fact that his contract IS UP. So maybe it's you who needs to do the research?

Tattar is not being entirely honest. I was at USDGC this year and from where the players sit on 18(about forty feet to the right and behind of the tee pad you cannot see the OB string/line on the ground. It’s a string about 3mm thick that is 300ft away. You can’t see it with any certainty.
@@Gimbagagomba Pretty much. From what I heard her say about it. She thought the disc hit off the tree limb which was hanging over inbounds and then because of hitting the limb fell out of bounds. Basically saying she crossed in but the limb kicked her out so she took forward progress. She couldn't really see the OB rope in the dirt.
You could see the rope when it was on the grass but not on the dirt because they were similar color.

Mcbeth is definitely one of the greatest players ever. Maybe the best ever. I'm not a huge fan of his but you can't deny his greatness
Here is the facts about the issue at Throw Pink. WITHOUT VIDEO at least 2 players thought it crossed in up there. They are like what 250+ away? Benefit goes to the player and even if the spotter said it didn't cross over which the spotter said nothing, they have no say in it. They are there to help identify where discs are and give a generalized spot if the players want to accept where the spot is. As long as half or a majority consider something to have happened than benefit goes to the player in that case. Uli put it best. The disc very well could have cross in bound temporarily when it was bouncing in the tree. Would it be nice to get the calls perfect every time? Absolutely. Look at the NFL where they have referees and replays and all this technology and they still get things wrong ALL THE TIME. This will keep happening and players and the DGPT just need to get better and make sure they are paying close attention.
Also I know some will say use the video playback. That can't be used right now for any ruling since it's an unfair advantage/disadvantage. All cards would need to be able to use that as well for it to be used.
