Great video. Love the detailed process and watching the step by step of the install. More detail the better.

Thank you! And thanks for always watching along!
@ 10k for the project it’s pie-laster. 15k for the project it’s pillister! tyvm
PILL-aster is what I've always heard and said.
A lot of work goes into such rather small detail, but it does look great.
Def PILL - aster. haha! But sure Pie-laster flies if you are from the UK (to me at least)
F****ing gorgeous!
Pie-laster
After making the pilasters from Sapele for rot resistance, why did you top it with a simple plywood box? I would have thought you would have used something more durable, or made more of an effort to weather proof it
Above it is weather proof....
Looks good but y not fill in the brick or foam insulation instead
While I understand why that species of wood was used, it's still hard to see such beautiful wood painted. And it's pie laster!
🥧- laster is what we say in New York.
PIE-laster ..... also how did you make the corbels removable? Lamello?
Probably, you can see black bisciuts over there
I like PI, lasted, long I.
BAUGRUP provides exterior prefabricated decoration from foam and coatings for end users who can DIY exterior decoration
Can we talk about that entry door 🤤
Down here in Aus it's known as a fancy front door 😎
😂
Beautiful work! What would someone expect to pay for something like that? Price range?
Pie laster
Short I, all day.
BAUGRUP provides production technology for mouldings
Nice pielasters.
Looks amazing. Might be worth running Ethernet to the door bell in addition to the standard wire. Makes it waaaay easier in the future for any POE bell/camera.
Good call!
Mo "pies" in lasters!
Gorgeous 👍.
Great job
Please may I know the type of wood did you used for exterior. Molding ?
Sapele
the second pronunciation.
pillar... pilaster... seems obvious.
Either way, beautiful work!
Or is it related to pylon, making it pylaster?
It is pronounced Puh-LAST-er in English, with a strong accent on the second syllable. It is pronounced PEE-last-ruh in French (spelled pilastre), with the accent on the first syllable and the “ruh” syllable almost silent. And it is pronounced PEE-lass-tro in Italian (spelled pilastro), again with a hard accent on the first syllable.
Exterior mdf ? Never used it. What makes mdf different then ext mdf.
Its made from alternative materials and through a different manufacturing process.
Pillister
PILL-aster.
I fall on the side of
puh·la·str
Pie
you all should have put mortar in those spaces between bricks,
not insulation
Pie not Pill
It’s both... same as wainscoting. It has two pronunciations
Now this is an answer I can get behind!
It's pronounced pilaster. Hope that helps
We always pronounced it pie.
short i
The phonetic spelling of pilaster is pəˈlastər, the latter of the two pronunciations you mentioned.
Second pronunciation.
Pilaster not pillister...
Pie laster
