i admire sony's ability to crank these out despite nobody wanting, asking, or enjoying them lol. i'll still see it because why not
Then you're the demographic for the movie.
@@jamillefrancisco564I don’t think him seeing it or not is gonna make a difference
@@Sebastian04223 true. i see most movies lol
people giving it a chance = money... ofcourse they're gonna make more...
It's truly crazy how many characters are that we want to see come to screen but instead they'll do stuff like Madame Webb or a 15th Batman reboot
"sony you dont have to make these characters young , sexy and cool " ......words to live by
How? The character is based off the comic
To be fair these are the younger versions of these characters so hopefully they will be recasted as older variants when they arrive in the MCU
...If you're admitting that you think young people are sexy, you're revealing a whole lot more about yourself, than Sony lol Gross.
@@jeffdroogIt is generally accepted that someone in their 30s is more attractive than someone in their 70s. That's the point being made about Ezekiel Simms and Madame Web. You're the one making it weird.
I DONT UNDERSTAND WHATS HAPPENING - 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't mind them being young but honestly, I still want their spider suit to be much better. Because it honestly just looks like something you can see people would wear in a Halloween party or a cosplay.
they do look a bit cheap but atleast they're comic book accurate. Well we really didn't get to see Anya's but the other two were.
I think the biggest issue for me is Ezekiel Sims costume… I mean it looks like it’d be a Spiderman suit from the avengers game. It actually might be one of the worst super hero movie costumes put on the big screen
@@vikvondoom Agreed
Hey maybe they're making their own costumes and going with what they can sew themselves. There's not like their is a superhero costume store you can go to.
@@vikvondoom I couldn't think of a worse suit off the top of my head so yeah this definitely takes #1 spot.
Like Morbius, this will likely be a movie I'll see when the tickets are extremely cheap.
Hopefully u have a $2 movie theater like we use to have that showed movies right before before they went to video 😂. STG
i’ll just sneak in after watching another movie
You mean on torrents
Tbh they should have payed us for morbius
That's the way to go
The Statue of Liberty poster was one used in the early 2000’s/2010’s for a coat drive initiative to get coats for the homeless for winter.
Nice reference
To be fair, younger characters and younger actors mean they can play their parts for longer and for more movies. This also gives a reason for setting movie to be in the early 2000s, so they have time for Peter to be born and grow up between then and now.
if they make it so that uncle ben hears the great responsibility line from someone in this movie i’d actually riot
they totally will
Or just do what they did with Martin Sheen in Andrew Garfield Amazing Spiderman 1
My favorite part is when Uncle Ben says "It's Responsibility Time" and he Morbs out
Worse; “When you take responsibility, you will gain powerful abilities.”
I like the concept, the idea of putting pieces together and connecting dots in the spider-verse. I don't know if it's a concept that can fill a 90 minute film. I'm intrigued, but at the same time not. This movie give me a whole lotta "Morbius" vibes. Conceptually intriguing, executionally medicore.
this!
I read somewhere it’ll have around 2h
I'll hold off on execution judgements until it executes but I am... Cautiously optimistic.
It reminds me of The Marvels
Yeah the trailer being in the jungle studying spiders does give a morbius vibe. It's Marvel so maybe you can count on some decent action and maybe some funny jokes. Maybe it will be a sleeper hit.
Emma Roberts as Mary Parker and Adam Scott as Ben Parker are going to be interesting, I'm curious how much screen time they'll get.
Hopefully not a lot.
@@HarpingFishbecause patriarchy bad
@@Chaakamah0793 Wtf

@@CaptainRockoBDyou are just a hater
I feel from the trailer it's very "Terminator - come with me if you want to live" where both sides can see into the future, madame Web can see other people's deaths where Azekiel can see his own and he's wanting to prevent his own future against all 3 of them
Thank you for simplifying that for me. When I watched the trailer, I couldn’t figure out who owned which premonition.
Reminds me of Next with Nicolas Cage & Jessica Biel. Or Minority Report
"Hasta La Vista Baby" - Said Uncle Ben while dying
The bridge is the Manhattan Bridge. The train is supposed to be a Metro North train, which is regional rail with a hub in Grand Central Station in Manhattan, and is different from and not connected to the subway system; I think that in the early 2000's Metro-North cars had been updated, and the movie is showing older versions, or else they're using trains from a different state's regional rail as a stand-in. The poster with the Statue of Liberty huddling is an actual poster from the time, for a regularly held Coat drive, where donated coats and winter clothing are donated and distributed to the homeless.
I thought those had to be LIRR trains
That is not the Manhattan Bridge. I thought it was too, but the Manhattan Bridge is more ornate. That is the Triborough Bridge. And I've never seen a MetroNorth or LIRR or NJ Transit train that looked like that or as wide as that train.
@@supumadbro6473Metro North and LIRR pretty much use the same trains.
The wide but narrow windows remind me of a lot of NJ Transit railcars (EMUs and regular coaches) tho the seating layout does not. That being said, NJT, MNRR and the LIRR are NYCs three commuter rail systems, so it has to be one of those three
@@supumadbro6473 I was gonna rebut and say they wind up in Grand Central even if that's an LIRR car used for shooting, but you might be right and that platform shot might be Penn Station. I didn't rewatch either video.
I just wonder if an origin type movie will take away the best part of any version of the character which is mystery.
@SonOfJay_ in Joker case , Joker 2 can reveal the prequel was version of his life Joker told Harleen , there is a reason every clock is at same time in the film
@SonOfJay_ there are so many Joker origins and none of them have ever said to be cannon.
throwing the rock at Web is the same gag as MJ throwing bread at Andrew Garfield in no way home
It's all connected 😮
Good thing it wasn't a bagel. Otherwise we'd be getting an another Bagel effect 🥯
And Aunt May throwing a banana at TH Peter.
I think there is a flash forward with the spider-women in their suits and Ezekiel with grey hair as a sequence in this movie. With the lines referring to the future and those scenes having a ghostly filter. I bet they don’t properly get suits but are alluded to who they grow up to become in a sequel.
That would be pretty cool ngl
I hope it's like a long movie to flesh it
That makes more sense, considering where they start in the movie, to have those scenes be future visions and not last minute level ups.
they wanted to connect madame web to other spiderman so it makes sense this movie is prequel and we will see madame web in present with older looks
That was my first thought as well. As he said it's set in the past with older computers and technology.
Is this the first (possibly) venomverse/sonyverse project to actually have Spiders? I think it is….some of the costumes look a bit CW-y but I’ll probably still check this out…it’s higher on my watchlist than kraven anyway
We have to watch it to know
Whats CW?
@@kidnamedfinguhThe CW network that formed when The WB and UPN merged. They aired Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Smallville, the Arrowverse shows.

I'm sad that early 2000s is now considered retro.
The trailer has a "fan-made" feel to it.
Which is NOT, I repeat, NOT a good thing.
@@Jakers96I wouldn't necessarily say that.
@@Jakers96 sometimes yes. Sometimes no.
Nah it do
Probably like the whole steaming turd of a movie
I think the concept is pretty cool. My worry is that introducing too many characters in a movie never works really well…and it’s going to have to do a lot of heavy lifting to see them jump to having high tech suits and mastery of their abilities. I’m hopeful that the story and writing will be great.
Someone else here thinks those are future visions, and that would make the most sense to me for showing their comic characters without jumping the shark.
@@ShadowPhoenix82 That makes the most sense. Hope it’s good!
This trailer looked so good!.. I loved the part where madame web says to the talking rat “anyone can cook” literally brought me to tears
Truly a progressive moment
Yes and I especially enjoyed the part where Madame Webed all over the place, truly a moment
I like it when they say words. Epic.
People laugh at you not with you
🗿
Peter's father, Richard Parker, is Uncle Ben's brother and not related to his mother Mary whose last name is Fitzpatrick.
Yeah he definitely fucked up, meant to say sister in law I bet
Yes, and Richard is not in this movie, so I am wondering how they get around this fact
And Aunt May's full name is Mayday Riley. Peter's clone Ben Reilly took Aunt May's last name
@@crashpal Peter and Mary Jane named their daughter May "Mayday" Parker, after Aunt May too.
The fans:
“Hey.. so uhhh.. remember that Andrew Garfield Universe? Yeah that was really interesting & it seems like there’s unfinished story for that character.. you think you guys could do something with that?..”
Sony:
“What’s that? You want a Morbius origin story? A Kraven The Hunter origin story? A Madame Web origin story?.. with absolutely no Peter Parker’s to be seen or thought of? Yeah say less fam we got you.”
This is certainly going to be a movie in theaters.
r/technicallythetruth
Would love a movie version of the Spider Wars that ended the 90s cartoon. Especially after the last Spider-Verse movie introduced Ben Reily
For real though
That was my favorite, I remember how crazy it felt when they all came together. “In my universe, I’m a millionaire, aren’t you?” Haha meanwhile the Peter in the animated series universe with his ripped underwear and 7 dollars in his wallet from the Bugle.
I would absolutely love to see that too, especially if they spend more time on spider-carnage rather than rushing thru the ending.
Next spiderverse movie
Or the end credits of Shattered Dimensions where Madame Webb meets Spider-Ham
Very Good point at the end and I agree, nothing wrong with casting older actors and actresses and I would love to see someone with a long history of acting in these more modern films.
Yeah, but the film takes place 20 some odd years ago, so people will be younger for origin stories.
Ezekiel is not a villain in the comics, so I think they are just making it seem like this for the trailer. For all we know, Morlun appears and is THE villain of the film?
Yes, that's what was said in the video.
Can’t wait for the Aunt May movie
That’s unfair. Just say you have no background with the character
You joke, But during the 2015 Sony Leak, We found out they actually were working on an Aunt May prequel before they scrapped the TASM universe
If it starred Marisa Tomei I honestly wouldn’t mind
@@dave9219She’s still FINE!!!!!
LOLOLOL
I wonder why they went with Anya instead of Jessica, if they went with Julia and Mattie.
I think it because like fox before disney buy they that mcu and fox have 50/50 rights on Wanda. And is the same here mcu and sony have 50/50 so mcu need to say yes if sony want to use here inn live movies
Lots of aspects of Jessica's non-superhero life are unable to be adapted because they belong to Marvel.
@carinahatlevoll153 are you having a stroke?
Whos Jessica ?
You know why... DiVeRsItY
Ben and Mary Parker weren't siblings, Ben was Richard's (Peter's dad) brother. I don't know if the rumors are just wrong about these characters or Sony just keeps managing to get even the most tiny details wrong.
Of all the movies coming out, this certainly looks like this will be one of them.
This joke is certainly not getting overused at all!
Definitely a joke of all time
I have a feeling that these studios make the characters young because if the movie is a hit they can still get some years out of the actors/actresses playing the role
Yep
No, it’s just ageism
I might be one of the few ones who is actually excited to see this movie!
I’m with you. Anything with Spider-People I’m hyped for
Fr
Can't wait to check this one out!
I can tell judging by your profile pic
I think this won’t be a great movie by any means. But for my love of Marvel, I’ll give it a shot.
Madam Web in the comics always seemed like a mysterious, ancient being who was subtly controlling events and people to get them to where they could really be the most useful and save the day. Making here a young paramedic in the 90s/00s seems like such wasted potential for a truly powerful being. But prove me wrong Sony/Marvel! I love all things Spidey and would love to be impressed with a Spider movie again
Maybe she'd grow up to be that. 🤷
been waiting all day for this 😭
I was waiting for this video!
I’ll give it a shot. I’m not going to judge a movie before I see it.
The first time I watched the trailer it didn't look like he was just choke slamming the girls, you can see raised veins when he grabs them, which I think means he's got a spider sting power.
i didn’t see ezikeal web swinging, and i don’t think he’s wearing web shooters either. i could be totally wrong tho
He never web slings in the books but he never had a costume either so we will see
What if he has organic webbing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
maybe they just don’t want to spend the money on putting web swings on screen
I kind of want to see all these characters, but I have never been LESS excited by a Sony trailer--and that is saying A LOT.
That Director looked the most like Madame Webb imo😂
This trailer looked really compelling to me as a casual viewer who doesn’t read comics
Exactly, everyone’s always doing too much. Can’t ever just enjoy what you DO get. Always gotta talk about what it wasn’t
@@Chasepv"eat the slop and be happy about it!"
@@izzeypally I mean if we're being real at least half of the MCU movies weren't really amazing either, as long as it's a good popcorn movie then it'll be fine.
Excited for continuity with spiderman!!!Spiderman!!!!
I want to see a spider costume so well made and detailed that it would be hard to make cosplays or halloween costumes of, those look like they could be hand made almost
This will be like Marvels for me where I don’t even bother pirating it
It feels like Madame Web's powers are like from Final Destination
Hopefully Madame Webb can topple Morbius as the movie of all time, and earn Webbillions of dollars
That will be Marvel/Sony's "El Muerto"
@@trippytimesjosh355It was cancelled after the star left
11:20 I think he uses this move due to maybe possibly having a venom byte like power coming from his wrists as when we first see him using this move the veins turn dark like their is poison being injected into his victim like a spider would do to their prey
Thanks for mentioning the song in the trailer ❤❤❤
Didn't think we'd catch the wardrobe change but we did
I know a lot of people online are dunking on the whole "He was in the Amazon..." line, but it definitely sounds spliced together.
I actually am excited for it!
PSP was the best of all the handheld devices. it was so easy to put Custom Firmware on, and the emulation was on point.
I loved March 33rd CFW, and the pandoras battery was so easy to repair broken PSPs. i made so much money buying broken ones and repairing them.
Are you guys going to cover Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters?
They are brave to attempt to put a live action series out after "Across the Spider-Verse" showed how much more we can get with animation. Thier confidence has piqued my curiosity.
Looks interesting will definitely see it.
Mike Epps character was in the very trailer you showed. He was clearly the cop or health tech that Cassie/Cassandra was giving CPR too that kept switching between him and a white construction worker.
I would love if all that we've seen in the trailer is the first 20 minutes of the movie as a flashback. Then everything else is with the older more comic accurate Madam Web
If Mike Epps is the main villain I’m seeing this movie first day 😂
Love the channel!!!!
This movie seems like an early 2000s super hero movie (ex. Ghost Rider, Daredevil) done with the understanding that there is a marvel-style of polish needed.
Great Job, Sony - looks like you spent all week working on it!
I'm here for it instead of sleep😂
This looks so good
So that's la Araña? I had no idea that is the coolest Cameo I've seen in the while. That's probably one of the coolest suits I've ever seen in a while!
Bruh if Mike Epps is Morlun.....I might actually watch this movie! 😂😂😂😂😂
Sony has to ask the question. How much spiderman side characters is enough after Morbius and Carnage. Just because we love Peter Parker's story and are intrigued by the Miles Morales and Miguel OHara story and can tolerate the Venom spinoff doesn't mean that we will fall for literally any BS that has a spiderman suit or daily bugle in it.
Well if they stop then they lose the rights to the character.
I say f it take my money Sony 💰 🤑
Honestly making movies based on the other spider heroes they own makes more sense than to keep turning villains into heroes.
I'll definitely check it out. Not super pumped to go see it day 1 though.
This looks not that bad.. the plot is promising.
😂😂
Agree
@@IzayFrmMars100 imagine liking a movie how funny.🤡
The "Plot"
Ezekiel "Zeke" Sims iam thinking he going to be a mix of his character and a inheritor The Inheritors were a family of dimension-hopping psychic vampires, capable of draining the life force from Totems across the multiverse.
Yeah, he's definitely giving off a lot of Morlun vibes, like they combined the two. My real question is: if we're getting Ezekiel in this, what does this mean for the possibility of Cindy Moon/Silk?
Doubt it
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who saw the Final Destination connections.
With this being set however many years back, it's ok that they are younger versions. If there is ever a chance to see them in present day in the movies, you'll still get the older versions then.
Hope this leads to a live Action Spiderwoman movie
My guess is Ezekiel is hunting spider-people across the multiverse and the costumes we see are just quick glimpses of them in alternate realities and they won't be in costumes or really have powers in the universe the film is set in.
His costume resemble Miguel O'Hara.
or he is looking for the real spider totem so he goes through all the spider people (didnt he also want to sacrifice peter in the comics ?)
Mike Epps is the paramedic lying on the ground with the bloody hands on his chest
Mike Epps being the big bad of the Sony Spider-Verse is just really funny to me
hell yeah
Could be a fun movie with some cool characters, let’s wait and see
Maybe we'll get a cameo from Andrew or Toby
The Watcher, hanging out by Loki's throne, sharing popcorn with him:
"Uh, you've got some branches tangled up over there..."
"Oh, yeah, that's my Spider knot. I let the Spider People play with each other, they're all so lonely."
I am most definitely excited for this movie
Sydney Sweeney has my soul
Dakota seemed to phone it in harder here than in those Fifty Shades movies. Also, a waste of Sydney Sweeney’s talents.
I’m looking forward to it
Yeah, that see something say something signage is all around NYC and the Liberty poster at 10:47 is for a citywide coat drive. That train looks like an alternate old school version of a Long Island RailRoad train.
Cried when uncle Ben said with great wokeness comes great brokeness😢
I love the look of the movie from what we’ve seen so far, def plan on watching it!
How low would a person's standards have to be for it to be considered zero?
@@ProcyonNite At least give the movie a chance before you start hating on it based on trailers.
@xeldalachyrule Sure, but the trailer is supposed to market the movie. Not looking good so far. This, mixed with Sony's current reputation, does not make me excited.
@@ProcyonNite It’s only one trailer, which doesn’t look horrible by any means, but we’ll just have to see with time. Agree-to-disagree for now.
U gave this movie more thought than the creators did
I don’t wanna see this but whatever you were talking about at the end is nuts 😂
Guys a really cool twist would be “Madame Web” being given to a different character than we thought.
I'm just an MCU fan that enjoys the movies despite the flaws they may have. I enjoyed The Marvel's, possibly being the only person on earth who did
Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani was the only good thing about the film
I enjoyed it, it was better than Eternals
Im excited. As long as we get an old Madame web in future movies

I will say, if you look at adam scotts paramedic jacket when he says welcome back to the land of the living, his jacket clearly spells out par for parker, so im pretty sure he will play a young ben parker, or maybe he plays a different version of peters dad

Remember when super hero/villan masks actually hid the identity of the person in the suit? Pepperige farms remember.
The real back wards part is he wasn't a villian to begin with and had no suit.
