Kyrie’s “game winning” shot was made with like a minute on the clock AND it was tied 89-89. He gets all the credit for years. LeBron’s game winning shot was made with no time on the clock, and he gets criticized.

On kyrie's 25th birthday, the nba channel uploaded a 10-15 minute video (can't remember) of kyrie's clutch shots that far into his career. If you actually took the time to watch that video, you would know that he had been a clutch player much before that shot. That said, I'm not trying to take anything away from Lebron, just saying that Kyrie is, in fact, a closer too.

Skip makes zero sense. He argues that LeBron isn't clutch, then he goes on to say "why take one or the hardest shots you can take, it was a terrible shot, if he's the greatest why didn't he take a better shot". Skip that is illogical. If he made the hardest shot anyone can take, it shouldn't matter if he could have taken a standarized jumper. Level of difficulty and still making it only proves how clutch he is. Also being down 1 or tied doesn't change that. Sure you miss when tied and it goes to overtime. It is pretty clear that Skip does not like LB. All his comments and opinions are also biased. If anyone has played bball, when you have the ball in your hands and the clock is running down, you just take the shot with your instincts, especially when you are on the run. The situation was not one where the ball was inbound at the half way line and LB has time to get it, size up his defender and then go 1on1 to the hoop or pull up for a jumper.
Imagine if LB pulled up and took a 3 pt shot instead of going for the running. How much more smack would Skip have said about LB’s shot selection???
At the end of the day, the way I see it is that it does not matter what type of shot one takes to make the game winner. What matters is if it goes in or not... Do whatever it takes to win. Judge the result, not the process. The process is only important and when are training, practising, improving and trying to build confidence in yourself. Let the results do the talking.
