ABOUT BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" follows the exploits of hilarious Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his stoically ever-professional captain, Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), along with their diverse, lovable colleagues as they police the NYPD's 99th Precinct. In this final season of the series, Jake and the squad must try to balance their personal lives and their professional lives over the course of a very difficult year.
Rounding out the ensemble is Sgt. Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumera), who has a passion for organization and a weakness for dork dancing; Lt. Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), a mountain of a man whose most powerful muscle is his sweetheart; Jake's best friend and human puppy dog, Det. Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio); and the incredibly secretive, tough-as-nails Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz). Also part of the Nine-Nine are veteran officers Det. Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) and Det. Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker), whose only skill as police officers is their ability to make a passable pot of coffee.

During one of my rewatch of the show, I focused a lot on Rosa when she is in the background, it’s actually crazy the numbers of time you can see her smiling or laughing

Great tv show. It's rare but the writing and short format was great. The cold opens and the story arcs. To get dropped by a network and picked up by another. Lightning in a bottle

except amy pretty much manipulates jake into having kids which results in him leaving his dream job...

When Jake wins the bet, I love how he’s explaining about the prostitution sting and Amy thinks she has a chance and cries “that’s not a felony” to which Jake coolly replies “it is if it’s your SECOND arrest”. Brilliance

I was dying to watch this show because I used to like like 2 stupid songs by Lonely Island (Humble and What's In My Jeep) and the clips on CZcams made it look funny. It finally came to Netflix recently and OH MY GOODNESS IT IS SOOOO BAD!! What is the hype?? I much rather watch something silly but interesting like White Collar or Psych!! MAYBE even Monk🤔 Those are much better but I wouldn't even call those "brilliant writing" because I've seen ACTUAL brilliant writing.... ugh

This is good because he knows Amy so well, he made sure the box was different from the others, he made sure to throughout the heist that Amy knows him well with no longer surprising her, and that the last suprise would not only be the best suprise, but also the suprise that changed there lives as true love couples,
What's awesome is that even though Jake lost the second time, he won in the long game.

He was in love with her before they even went on the date and noticed it when they were on that date. Seeing him being heart broken for a while made my heart break a little. I love that series. I'm göad how it turned out and I'm always suprised about something, even after the 5th time watching it

The first b99 episode I watched was the bet episode and seeing jake and amy's chemistry throughout the episode got me instantly hooked to the show
I started watching it randomly on Netflix one day, cuz I live in NYC and will just generally watch anything NYC related.
Started on episode 1, and I think there was only 5 seasons at the time...
I was so happy when the show was picked up again.
The characters on this show were just so well thought out. Every one adds something, even if you don't find out until many episodes in what their value is or how they got there.
And I'll never, EVER get over hearing Rosa's actual speaking voice, and realizing how convincing of an actress she is playing the tough character, when in RL she's such an adorable little sweetheart.
This is one of those shows that should run forever, cuz at this point it's like comfort food for your brain.

B99 and HIMYM are my two favorite shows. “The Bet” is my favorite episode of B99, and “Natural History” is my fave of HIMYM. I’ve seen both of them more times than I can count, because I still cackle through both of them relentlessly. They spark true joy! ❤🎉
