Yeah. Mine spent 2 days getting used to just my room, and a week or two later, she still isn’t used to 3 other people + the rest of the house.
Every cat is different I’ve had 5 cats and only one needed time to adjust and was scared at first, the other 4 pretty much claimed themselves kings and queens of the castle the minute they arrived

Hes actually my roommate/bestfriend! I live with my 2 best friends who are together and their kid. But yes hes the best for letting me bring Catan into the house and honestly he loves the cat as much as me so its no big deal!

After watching so many other adoption videos where people overpet the cats, it's so refreshing to see someone who understands how to give the cat some space so they can feel calm and comfortable.

Yeah I have a Himalayan Salt Lamp and I keep it far away from my cats. They aren't interested in it at all, but I'm just paranoid lol
True. Also no lilies of any kind. Stargazer lilies are my favorite and one cat got severe kidney damage and the other had early damage before I learned how toxic it was. The one with minor damage had very little progression of the kidney damage over 19 years after I banned lilies and she died at age 23.

His coat is really beautiful though, I'd wager he's got a bit of abyssian in him and is only half tabby.
I work at a shelter myself and I can't adopt any of the cats unfortunately, but I still love seeing them go to new homes. We don't do pedigree papers and such for cats unless it's from very specific circumstances where they've been surrended to us with papers, but you do find a lot of cats mixbred pedigree traits
We've got a mum and her litter who clearly has British shorthair in her, a different grey British shorthair male and we had a Russian blue once as well
We had a lovely boy who almost certainly had some Siamese in him and he checked off every single box for their mix traits
Identifying the breed of the cat isn't particularly important, but it can give you a clue as to what their temperament might be, their future medical health and exactly what type of fur and coat they have, so it's good to keep a look out
At our shelter we love getting pics back of adopted animals when they've settled in, so that'd be great to send to the café if you haven't already

Your cat is just like my baby rose, she is 2 years old and loves getting attention, shes clumsy and she had 6 kittens last year, 2 lovely boys and 4 adorable girls. We only kept 1 named hot cheeto (Cheeto) *like shanes cat* and I have 1 older calico named Callie, she is 12 and fatter than ever 😂

Amazingly the cat is so friendly... we adopted a cat and he hid under the bed for almost 2 days. My daughter sat on the floor to bond with him. Finally, he came out and became friend.
