- Surprise! Ive been keeping this a secret while shes been adjusting to her new home but I wanted to just share a reason why I have been so offline lately. Im so thankful I am able to adopt a shelter kitty with a heavy backstory. I pray I can giver her the best life possible. Thank you all for being so patient, I love you guys so so much. - Hayley

I just adopted my cat yesterday from the same humane society! He was the best decision I ever made and I was freaking out like you were too before I got him. My cat has definitely helped me anxiety already

Like you my wife and I have loved and lived with cats for fifty five years. They and a great dependable friends and certainly helped with my anxiety. We too presently have a once feral mother cat. Fortunately the kittens were adopted but the mother cat was deemed un-adoptable so she was neutered and vaccinated and we were told to release it in the barn and feed and water it as needed. Well she promptly moved into the house and has become a wonderful companion for us.
A warning though, years ago one of our cats ate yarn and it tangled in his gut. The vet operated but he couldn’t.t be saved’ We blamed ourselves of course so any stringy type of material is now fully boxed. So be cautious of having open topped boxes of yarn under your bed’. Enjoy Clove, it seems that the two of you found each other at just the right time of your lives.
Kitty is very beautiful- the dark cinnamon swirls on her orange fur, topaz eyes and graceful movements are art in motion. Wishing you and kitty happiness and good health together❤❤🩵🩵🩵🥰😍😽❗️

My cat was found stray on a farm pregnant and I think she had the kittens in the shelter
You have such a very special cat! Red tabby femaies are very rare, so you're lucky to have her. She seems very sweet and I think soon she'll not need her hiding space under the bed anymore. She looks pretty confident and comfortable. If you can, buy her one of those shelves that attach to the windows. It'll be a lovely spot for her to watch cat tv.

I admire you so much!! You're honesty about your anxiety and how you choose to cope with it....you made an excellent choice. As someone who is a lifetime anxiety patient, I've always said that the single most calming thing for me is the sound of a cat purring....calm, loving, trusting. And thank you SO much for adopted, especially an older cat...adopted and neglected animals always make the best, most loyal pets. Please continue updates on how things are going with you and Clove. So happy for both of you! My parents had a cat who loved going under the bed in these kind of drawer; we often don't have the motivation to bother them while they are here, and this small place sure make them feel safe ^^ I wish you a lot of purrs heehe

It's so cool how they know that they are being adopted and that this is their new home. If she was a stray then she's going to be super grateful cause she knows what it's like to not have a home.

I love all your videos Hayley! We are alike regarding anxiety and I also have anxiety induced PTSD...Having cats in my life has made such a calming difference, as what I have learned from them has been invaluable as far as self confidence and just the "it is what it is" attitudes! My darling Bandito (Tuxedo!) was my solid Rock and the best supportive loving friend you could ever have when my husband of nearly 40 years passed suddenly in 2017.....There is no greater or more intimate friend than a beloved cat!

THAT Looks just like my cat her name is diamond and I got her from human society when it was November 10th and that was the best day of my life she’s literally so kinda and loves everyone and opens up fast!❤️

Ohh she's so sweet!! One of our cats also loves the smallest and darkest places to rest sometimes and other times she's snoring loudly on the bed or in the middle of the floor 😂 Can't wait to see her in your future videos 💕

Adult cats adapt slower to new environments… but they are less work than kittens and props to you because adults have a harder time finding homes!
i've always wanted to get an animal from the humane society ahh !! it's so amazing to be able to adopt an animal that's been through so much, when i get a cat/dog in the future i'm definitely getting one from the humane society or any animal shelter

I always get teary eyed when people adopt ginger cats and black cats. Both are so amazing and it's sad when people overlook them for "fancier patterned" breeds. For me, as long as me and the cat have a bond, I don't care what he or she looks like.

Wow, a female ginger! Most gingers are male! Please secure the yarn…some kitties will eat it and needing surgery to remove it would count as a good outcome….it’s just really dangerous. Congratulations on your adoption of Clove!
I have cats and a one of those things also under my bed when we first got them they were always under there.
Orange tabby females are rare. But be aware that since they are genetically abnormal, they can have other underlying health issues. Her slow blinking at you when she was in the box was so cute. Immediately felt safe with you

OMG. I just adopted a cat yesterday. Today is day two of having my Cat. My cat almost looks exactly like yours especially the eyes. I haven't uploaded the cat video yet.
I'm also diagnosed with anxiety and my parents kind of deny it(?) So I brought up the fact that I have anxiety and having a cat might help me feel better after I've done a bunch of research and I'm going to be getting a cat soon!!

Hi, thanks for saving the cat! Just FYI be careful with the yarn, if they eat it it's no bueno and an expensive vet bill. How come they shaved her neck?
YES! I was just about to comment this. My little fur baby had to be put to sleep because of this. She got a hold of some yarn and accidentally ate it (apparently this is common) and it got too twisted around her intestines and they couldn't operate. She never acted sick or had any problems leading up to it. Please be careful with kitties and string!
I’m lucky enough that she hasn’t done anything with the yarn. Just sleeps on it. She’s not much of a chewed unless it’s her own toys. All of the string is taped off, no way for her to get ahold of any as well ❤️
@@Mizayp Very true. If that was me, I would not get yarn for my cat at all. Any non-yarn toy like rubber would be acceptable.

Honestly, I’m only able to live on my own because of my main job. Although, my business creates some income; it isn’t yet fulfilling enough to supplement. I’m 24, so unlike many others my age I managed to wait until all of my debts were paid to be able to move out

hihi!! im unsure if you will see this or not but yarn, ribbons and strings are really dangerous for cats. theyre bound to chew and bite yarn so it can be very dangerous if its lodged in the back of your cat's mouth. sorry if im being rude or if there are mistakes, im not really good at english ^^'

That’s not true. Kittens have a much easier time adapting to new things. That’s partly why it’s easier for kittens to get adopted. The older they are the harder it is for them as you said with your parents cat. But I’m soo happy you are looking at getting an adult cat

Get off the meds for anxiety and take CBD. It worked for me. Female ginger cats are quite rare. 80% are male.
