Memories! I'm 57yrs. old, and I remember this episode. I was 8 years old then, and I marveled as I saw Mike do the robot. Whenever I was dancing to this tune, I would start doing the robot the moment it got to this segment.

I know I'm late to the party, I've only just seen this short. I came here to mention The Sylvers too. Saw them at Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA. when I was in Jr. High.
I remember seeing them on TV and enjoying seeing their dance moves as well as their many hits. They even had their own cartoon show every weekend! At the time they were incredibly popular! They had a friendly rivalry with the Osmonds at the time who were also good dancers and singers. What a different Era that was! Now there are no dancers, songs or music. Whatever happened to choreography? Thanks to CZcams I can see it again! 😊

Taking nothing from his extraordinary abilities, he was like 19 or 20 in this. He did do it exceptionally well before this though, but he wasn't a child in this. He was about 10 years older than me, and I was nine at this point.i watched their show avidly as a child and thought they were awesome. He was a different sort of being for sure, but for so many other things than a flawless robot at 20.

That's a backing track, it's not live and in actuality that's not Jermaine you're hearing but William Salter cause they didn't play on the studio versions of their songs, which is also another reason they left Motown
