The problem with warhorses and animals in general other than bears is as follows: Wartales, especially in adaptive mode, structures it's encounters depending upon the size of your fighting force. So, if you have warhorses or wolves or boars on the field, it will spawn more enemies for you to fight. A good deal of the time, especially against difficult enemies like inquisitors, you are spawning enemies far more difficult than the animals can deal with. So you are basically handicapping yourself for no reason.
A couple of my tips:
Prioritize the career plans perk and do not spend any of your points leveling up until you have it. This way you can customize your characters exactly how you want.
When leveling up, prioritize willpower until you have exactly 15 on each character. 15 Willpower is basically a get out of death free card once per combat. If a character was supposed to die, he will simply be reduced to 1 hp.
Always bring along a warrior with the Sentinel specialization. As soon as you get about 400g to spare, visit the brotherhood camp in the southern mountains of Tiltren and purchase a skill book to level up their ovation ability. This ability will double the speed of your entire troop regardless of range. It's literally a game changer, granting all of your soldiers incredible maneuverability so they can go exactly where they need to go.
Thank you for adding your tips. Thats awesome👏👏
Thats some interesting point you are bringing up...
I do the same with the willpower though. Agree 100%👌
Sadly the Sentinel tip is now out of date as they nerfed the heck out of the ovation power with the DLC patch.
@@rwulf agreed! I avoid the sentinel now😬 although, I feel my berseker got op again😆 Man, he takes strong guys out quickly now!
How do you take off the horse as a companion for battle
@@scpfoundation8176 if you want to remove horse from company and can dismiss horse by right clicking and it when you are in camp. There are 2 gears at bottom of screen that says manage companion, click on it and say dismiss.
If you want to keep the horse but reassign it as a war horse you can go to a brotherhood training grounds building and select respecialisation😊👍
cool videos, i just would not recommend war horses, because they count as unit (increase enemy numbers) and compared to a companion, are way weaker. If you keep them as carry animals they wont make it harder for you
Thats a good viewpoint. Thanks for that😄
Warhorses generally have high hitpoints and armour so I use them as decoys then I send in my assasins and ranger😆
Thank you for getting straight to the point!
I want the same when looking for videos😉😉
Thankyou for this video nice short and sweet👌just came across this game a few days ago on Xbox game pass it’s great
Glad it helps you! It really is an awesome game😄
Nice and short! Love it!
Thank you! Im glad it helps😄
Only thing im confused about is the Jobs.. can people hold multiple jobs at any time? Each time i find a new job, it always wants me to assign someone I already assigned a job. Iv assigned 1 character like 3 different jobs. Can you someone explain?
Each companion can hold 1 job. It is better to let them keep doing the same job then they will get better at it and give you greater reward😊 so choose from the start who you want to do specific jobs
@@axefieldis there a way to switch jobs? I picked up a couple companions that already had jobs that I’ve got covered.
@@CoreyDilleyOnline yes there is😊👍 Open up the character tab and click on button that represent their profession. From there you can select a different profession
i speak only for myself, I'm about 20 hours in and looking for some "advance tips" but there's nothing i didnt know yet from this video. more than half were very obvious too by just playing the game and within the first 5 hours. however, i do appreciate the effort and i am sure it still helped others.
Edit: i misread "essential" as "advance". Sorry
I have quite a few other videos with more advanced tips on my channel. Feel free to check it out. Go to my Wartales Playlist. I'm sure you will find something that will help you😊
Funny you say that, because my experience is exactly the opposite. I have about 5 hours but most of this was less than obvious to me, and the more advanced videos offer advice that’s simply not applicable to me yet, or just beyond where I am in the game.
I wondered what those pitons were for 😂😂😂🤦♂️🤦♂️
Dont worry, took awhile for me initially also to figure it out🤣
I'm new to this game so I'm just guessing but isn't 6-8 best party size, since number of enemies scales with number of people/animals (ponies don't count) in your party
You have 10 different professions that is necessary throughout the game, so I would say 10 minimum troops(without animals). For me personally, 12 to 16 is tge sweet number. If you have good variety of troops, it leaves you with more options on how to approach battles. Also, it the depends on which mode you play. If you play region locked mode you can face enemy parties of 20 plus😐 war horses and bears are tanky so I use them really only as bait for enemy to focus all their attacks on them
@@axefield you do you, I'm not telling you how to play your game, but I'm putting it out there since this is a guide for success. From this people would think recruiting more members is the way to level the score, but they are just adding enemies, making it harder, not easier.
Yeah I feel they wanted to make 10-12 parties optimal but never did scales right, so now people play with smaller parties. Having 4-5 members that are assigned to "important" professions and 1-2 that swap between the rest when you need it.
@@trancecod bro, it is an open world rpg. You can do what you want. That is the beauty of it.
You obviously haven't played the region locked mode and my tips are meant for both... trust me, 8 companions will not cut it in region locked mode. They dont adapt enemy numbers then to your group.
This game need Mounted knights and big combat filds.
Totally agree🙌
100th like!!
👏👏🏆😄
