Thanks! I do miss working on it!
50 ways to treat your Porsche. I love it! Excellent posting!
Thank you I appreciate the comment
Absolutely gorgeous example and love the tasteful additions. You have a keen eye for style and elegant understatement. Will be checking out more of your Porsche posts. Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Great work thank you for sharing these ideas! Love the euro triangle and gas cap!.
Thanks!
Fantastic ideas, thanks for sharing
Glad you like them!
Great video and tips... enjoy all the little things u did to ur car.
Thank you!
🐮…………and this is the leather wrapped and stitched blinker fluid reservoir.
I need that! Googling now
😂😂😂
Wao nice attention to even small details, you gave me a lot of ideas, thanks!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you! I have a 2014 C4S, glad the headlight upgrade option is available for us!
Me too!
@@bobbygfl funny thing is, I also recently got into raptor gen 3, your content is spot on...sub'd
@@TonyTsai that’s awesome. Thank you! I have a couple videos planned. I am installing a air intake mostly just because I like the sound of the intake and I want it to be more pronounced. Also kind of a goofy video on all the stuff you can fit under the backseat of your Raptor lol
@@bobbygfl yeah, your video on the tailgate extender helped greatly! Thank you for that!
Oh nice I have a long car ride today. This will be a nice video.
Thank you!!
Loving that dust cover. Super convenient, on / off in seconds.. Brilliant..
Thank you!
Thanks for posting. I have wondered how the visors and chrono trim looked in leather. To feed my OCD, I also installed the inside hood protector (25:41), but had a local auto upholstery shop wrap it in body colored suede. It's a nice touch and cost less than $70. Best regards!
That’s an awesome idea! Very cool. Thanks for the comment.
Nice vid. I’ve got a 997.2 and I may do a couple of these if I can save the money. My OCD levels are about half of yours so I fully understand where you’re coming from. 😂
Lol. Thanks!
I like those specs, awd + manual are great togheter. I'm looking for a 991.2 4s and I'll start my own project to make a safari version (nothing to crazy, but I wanna get at least 2 inches more of ground clearance, ceramic coating for undercarriage and an oil pan skidplate)
Sounds fun! Thanks for the comment
Hi Bobby, Just wondering if you have completed the headlight install? I'm actually really interested in the LED high beam upgrade as I think thats where our cars really let us down the most. Great videos, keep them coming!
Hi, no i have not. now that the outdoor kitchen is complete i will likely get to it soon than later. I'm excited to see the higher performance hid bulb. i'm told this will make a huge difference but we'll see. It's just daunting having to move the mechanics over the cause the light to turn with the steering. Thank you for the confidence boost!!
Nice posting; some things are great; some things I would priority funds for track days instead!!!!!!
Some of this glamor for sure! Thanks for the comment!
I came to CZcams in search of information about Smithey brand cast iron pans and wound up here somehow.
Nice car. You're a cool guy.
Cheers.
Lol. That’s probably because I have quite a bit of cast-iron videos on my channel. Thank you I love the car please check out my channel and the playlist, grilling and cooking I think. I have a smithy chef pan that I absolutely love.
Nice video! 👍🏻 I noticed you seem to have trouble getting the frunk to open consistently for you. The gesture sensor is actually located in the bumper just below the emblem and not on the hood. If you put your hand over the bumper at that spot, it will work for you every time.
I’m going to try that thank you I appreciate it yes I am constantly waving trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong lol
@@bobbygfl Yes, Paul F is correct. Rather than uncomfortably bend my wrist so my palm faces the bumper, I just cup my hand slightly and brush the bumper with the exterior of my fingers (middle phalanx).
💯 the greatest car ever made , one day I will own one 😩 lol , it’s inspiring to see this passion 😎
thank you! I love the car. Cost of ownership is really minimal doing stuff yourself.
Great video. Two questions: what website or manufacturer for the under hood protector? Second, what website or manufacturer for the cup holder (can’t find anything in the ‘description’…might be my lack of understanding). Thank you!
The cup holder check, rennline. The hood thing came from Sun Coast parts.and thanks!
Good show- how did you install the Porsche logo in the back? How did you align it?
Thanks! I made a stencil with tracing paper off of another one. Unfortunately I removed it before I made the stencil so I went to the dealer and they let me stencil one of the cars on the lot. It’s misleading. When you pull off the stencil it’s actually an arch but because it’s on a curved car it looks straight. I could’ve easily made a stencil off of my own car if I had thought of it before I pulled the letters off lol.
Great video. What is the name of the phone mount?
It’s in the comments. I’m not sure I don’t remember the actual name.
Nice mods. I have a stock 991.2 C2S 7MT Coupe. I need to change out the center console trim to black or maybe use black spray paint. The reflection from the sun on the stock brushed aluminum is annoying me. Have you noticed the same?
That’s interesting. No I have not had that problem. I don’t drive it much though so I’m not a good example. Thanks for the compliment!
What a pimped out entire job you did in ur 911. I own the very same car. Where did you get the fob operator to open the roof? I know that the European models it come standard but not the US or Canadian models. Please advice. Thx. Sami
thanks, google smart top controller. it'll pop up.
Enjoyed your video. Do you have a contact for the artist who produced the front emblem?
I’m sorry I do not. I got it off eBay and thank you for the compliment.
Bob,
Do you have sound clips of fabspeed header with IPD plenum both installed?
I do not. Maybe I will make a video on that
Bob, where did you purchase the headlights? Looking to do the same on my agate grey 991.
i got them from suncoast on a black friday deal. saved about 15%. the new hid's and led's came from headlight revolution.
By any chance, you have a part number for the door sill cover for the umbrella?
I do not. But it would be only on the 2013 if you can get dealer parts dept to help you look it up.
I never thought I’d see someone who loves leather more than me… but wow! Does the “GFL” stand for “Gobs of F&cking Leather?” Great looking Porsche - thanks for all the content!
Lol. It does now! Thanks!
That car has more leather than a Village People concert at The Blue Oyster lol…but a beautiful car nonetheless!
Lol thanks!
Hello. Curious where did you purchase the magnetic phone holder from?
Thanks in advance.
Rennlist had a link for it. I’m pretty sure I put it in the comments.
Hi! where did you get those blacked-out headlights w/ fogs light?
Sun Coast parts
I would like to order the cameras as well. Where did you get the camera's?
The cameras came from the same place as the component I think it’s in the description of the video
Hi Bobby, now that it's been some time that you installed the bottom door sills from plastic to leather/stitching (I assume from Exclusive Option), how is it holding up to permanent stuff marks? Bottom of shoes always scuffs up the original plastic so like to know how the leather holds up long term. thanks.
Holding up well. I have zero scuffs. My wife has dragged her heals a few times but the marks have rubbed out with a leather conditioner pretty easily. Happy with them and yes, exclusive option.
Thanks for the reply! You just spent more of my money on upgrades.
PLEASE share link or product name for cup holder, I've got a cupholderless 996 and it's driving me crazy. All I've been able to find are cheap plastic almost useless holders at Walmart. Great vide
Link is in the description. Thanks!
Where is the description? I would like to buy a cup holder. Oops, found it!
@@stevehernandez5399 in the description. Ultimate cup holders
Hi. I actually think the Porsche cup holders are a piece of fabulous design, shame they got it so wrong with the 992. That could be a huge market for the type you purchased. I had an Aston Vantage for about a year and that didn't have cup holders at all. I a nice system that were fitted to boats but didn't end up keeping the car. Frunk lid liners and bins seem difficult to source in the uk!
Thanks for the comment. I thought those cupholders were amazing until a drink tipped out of them! They seem to do really well with some types of cups but others are top-heavy. That’s interesting about the Vantage I had no idea it had no cupholders.
@@bobbygfl mine was to older style car, not current one. The 991 ones are best for shorter cups I agree. The great thing is that they are in front of the vents so can keep coffee warm in the winter and water cool from the air con in the summer.
Ha I didn’t consider that!
How did you attach that under hood protector or how does it attach?
There are holes that push pins just simply push into.
Where in FL are you ? and if in the Tampa bay area, who installed the cameras / hardwired radar detector ?
I did all of this myself. Please check out my playlist. czcams.com/play/PLsZvjE7Duh8RM3TL11qKeS4P9tYJUUz0h.html
Which radar detector did you use and mount?
I use the escort brand 360.
Where did you get the emblem made at?
A custom shop in Miami.
Where did you purchase the license frame?
I’ve looked through my receipts and can’t find it. If I can figure out where I’ll let you know.
Wow, I have a 3rd oil cooler and always on 200F and in summer more than that. Ok Las Vegas can get up to 117F ;-)
thanks for watching!
Bobby - so you made your car heavier by adding a bunch of bits and bobs. With a couple of exceptions - I consider what you did to be some (very expensive) after market 'trim work'. To each his own, I guess.
Agreed. Don’t care about the weight and the leather is beautiful. Sound, feel and look to my tastes are really my only motivations with this car. Thanks for the comment!
Please can you add the link for the cell phone mount
Here you go www.rennline.com/exactfit-magnetic-phone-mount-sku-pm01-03/
Where did you get the rear and front camera installed?
I did it myself it’s in the playlist on my channel.
@@bobbygfl Thanks. I actually realized that after I posted the questions. I'll have to find someone to do the install. I'll demo and rebuild my house but I'm not daring enough to take apart my 911. lol
Lol. Ya it took some nerve.
How/where did you get the parking cameras sourced/installed and integrated?
These all came from a company called NAV TV
Thanks!!!
And that cup holder is excellent!
Thanks!!
@@bobbygfl where can I buy one of those cup holders?
@@stevehernandez5399 ultimate cup holders
im so glad we dont have to have those hideous big number plates and surrounds in the uk lol
Right lol. I don’t even like states with front plates!
What year is it
2013
Link for the pen?
The pen you’ll need to find on eBay. I do not know if any link. Thanks!
@@bobbygfl I understand. So. how about a close-up of the pen as I don't know what to search for exactly?
That’s a really tastefully modified car but that hideous orange and green licence plate really lets it down in my opinion.
Lol. But living anywhere else is not happening!
er...blow it up!
thanks!
Do you still own this 911? If yes, are you interested in selling it to me?
Yes, and no. I don’t drive it very often but when I do, I sure love it.
When he sells this he will tack on $15K for all the leather that someone will remove.
Lol. Probably.
CZcams unfollowed and took away my like of your video I’ve probably watched three times I think that’s a little CS
That’s weird. Sorry to hear that.
? ᑭяỖmo??
Thanks
Man 2023 carrera GTS with aero kit stays outside. And it’s dirty. Who cares
Nice!
You move your camera too much too often it makes me dizzy. Good tips but suggest you hold your camera still when you do a video.
Thanks!
I sorry but I really do feel nauseate at 22:43, please take that off. Others are good
Lol. That would insult my mom, so no chance. Thanks though!!
Best thing is to sell since they are overpriced
They sure do maintain their value. Thanks for the comment.
Did you have the delamination issue with the door panels? What route did you go with the repair?
What are you talking about? Are you talking about the leather?
@@bobbygfl Right. I’ve read people experiencing a separation between the door panel materials due to the EU approved glue they use.
@@DrJoeEyeDoc I had leather separation happening on my a pillar. I took a heat gun and very carefully heated up the leather, and then, with a plastic spatula, carefully pressed it back into place and then hold it until it cooled. What I believe I did, was partly shrink the leather and partly reactivate the glue either way it has not separated again. None of the leather replacement that I have done. Had anything to do with the factory quality I just wanted the leather to be stitched.
