As a very experienced cruiser, I really enjoyed your video on this cruise. It was interesting to see the opinions and comments of somebody who’s never been through it before. For me, it has become almost common places often as I cruise, so you forget about that initial all in excitement of discovering things. Thank you for allowing me to experience it again.

You Noel, in general shatter all excuses I've heard my mom and dad have had for decades. Excuses for not daring to break out of the comfortable shell that is daily life. Literally wining about it.
This is further proven by the belly flop competition. A bunch of normal people/dads that put themselves out there, living their life.
You know... actually DOING IT! Not just sitting at home, at work, having a midlife crisis.. which is just a hint that you are NOT doing what you actually want to do.
Truly.. You, you're family and that belly flop competition made me really happy!
Love the channel Noel, it's not a boat it's a ship, a boat is something you get into when the ship is sinking! 😆
My retired Navy dad would be horrified that this ship was referred to as a boat. 😂 Kathleen

@@hveeeeFun fact I've been on an off the Mersey Ferries from the Landing Stage 1000s of times at the Pier Head in Liverpool and just along from there is the Irish Ferry Terminal ⛴️ Landing stage and next to it the Cruise 🛳 Liner Terminals Landing stage.
It's where the Boat's 🚢 Ship's 🚢 or Vessels 🚢 ⚓️ 🛳 🔱 ⛵️ 🚢 ⚓️ 🛳 come in to before going back out to sea 🌊. .

@@georgebuscay8511Here in Liverpool UK we call them Boat's Vessels and Ships all interchangeable and mainly on size or what they do.
I suppose it would be silly saying the Ships helped the Vessel to dock or Land rather than the Tug Boat's 🚢 🛥 helped the Ship or Vessel to Land. Obviously at the Landing stage.

I'd agree with that. Really enjoyed the video as always with Noel, but if before I was hesitant about cruising I am now firmly in the no thanks camp.

I’m a total snob. I’m fine with admitting that. Marriot is my idea of roughing it. Fortunately I’m blessed with resources to support that snobbery. This would kill me… dead. The communal pool makes me want to cry. All that ass water in my eye….
@@stankythecat6735 my parents live in Southampton and have been on the Cunard cruises a lot. I’d definitely try something like the queen mary2 but it’s a very different experience.
I would however trip on the Queen Mary 2. Absolutely nothing like these type of cruises.
As an experienced cruise traveller, it’s remarkable how different the “ultra luxury” lines are compared to the more commercial cruises. Both equally as fun, just different. Looks like you guys had fun!
I could hear all those cruise CZcamsrs saying “hey Noel, stay in your lane!” Enjoyed the episode because your family is wonderful, and it was refreshing to see a cruise review from someone not totally devoted to the business.
Exactly. I think this gives me a more realistic appraisal than the many cruise reviewers who know they love cruising. The crowds are the big question mark for me… and the continuous price gouging. Plus, those ports didn’t look very fun.
@@JurgenADV Those ports are actually a lot of fun. They just weren’t well represented by people who prefer to “stay on the ship.”
I can only speak for myself, but I don't know any cruise CZcamsrs who would want other people to 'stay in their lane'. The whole point of CZcams is that we like this lane (cruising) and want to share it!! I was so happy to see this video pop up. 😄🤗

I've wanted you, Rach and your lovely (and as usual, extremely well behaved) children to do a cruise for ages! I was really interested to see Rach's experience with me being a fellow Fibro warrior, and my hubby and I have toyed with the idea of a cruise, but not knowing how I would cope. With all the cruise CZcams channels that I have watched, nobody has ever taken it from a health/mobility perspective. Plus also the added benefit of your brilliant dry wit analysis you add into all of your work. It looks like you all managed to enjoy your time, even with the changeable weather, but what I loved most is that out of all the activities there was onboard, what you all said was a highlight is the time you spent together as a family. Those are the memories that you will all cherish forever. X

I really appreciate you sharing your family's experience with us. I especially respect Rachel being comfortable to share her authentic self. As a person around her age also with mobility issues when in big travel facilities, I like to know there are others out there that aren't afraid to explore. It really means a lot. Everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy travel and adventures!

Going on a cruise is like going to a hotel and never being able to leave. Hotel California.

Trust me your kids are going to remember this for decades. I went on a cruise when I was 13. Now 30 years old always think about how fun it was.
We are in our 70s and have done 18 cruises. It can be addictive! Princess is our line of choice but you were wise to do Royal as you have active kids! We never feel the “ship” moving. So sorry the mom didn’t enjoy it as much. There are so many lines and itineraries to choose from. I know this is just the beginning of your cruise life haha! 😮

Ya'll made me laugh with how apprehensive you are feeling about cruising. It is the best way to get anywhere when you're not in a hurry. As and FYI, if you are ever feeling queasy from the motion or rocking of the ship, NEVER EVER stay in your room because there is a lack of depth perception and will make you feel even worse. Always go out up on deck to the back (stern) of the ship where the stability is greater. I learned this on my first cruise and I've been on 8 of them. I love it and enjoyed your video.

I have to say that when I first started watching your channel you always seemed to have a bit of a cob on. Since you moved to America that has gone away and your ever so much enjoyable. Keep on, friend.
I've done a fair few cruises now. The trick is to get the excursions booked before you get on board or at worst, do it as soon as you get on board. Being on board the entire time, you might want to consider doing a repositioning cruise. These are usually like 20+ days at sea, and well worth it if you like being on board more than visiting places.
Yup. Repos or transatlantic/transpacific cruises are my absolute favorites. Also, usually, some of the best deals - although you do need to factor in to/from trips.
I get free cruises with my casino i go to id love to go on them! We need ur family to go on more cruises! Once every two years this style of video with no running around just chilling with the family 🎉❤
Welcome to cruising! I've been on a dozen cruises in my life (once as child [Holland America], twice with my wife before we had a child [Royal Caribbean], and 9 with our daughter [5 NCL and 4 Disney]). I think it is the best way to vacation. Get on board, unpack once, and be taken to new sights.

I went on the Voyager of the Seas one year ago sailing on a different itinerary from Puerto Rico, didn’t hesitate on clicking the video seeing one of my favorite youtubers switch content to sailing on the same cruise I went on! Brought back many memories with my family as I watched your family enjoy the cruise as well, loved this vlog a lot!

Boat or ship??? The difference between the two is that you can fit a boat on a ship but you can’t fit a ship on a boat. That was a quiz question when I was on independence of the seas😂😂

Fair play to you Noel for going on a cruise and documenting it. It's an enjoyable and insightful video into something I wouldn't like to experience myself. To me cruise liners look like floating prisons. I can't describe the claustrophobic feeling I get just from watching cruise ships.
"floating prison"? Well, I guess prisons where you come from have gourmet food, tons of bars, world class entertainment, etc...

For people like myself who prefer to travel to countries, find and explore places other than designated rip off joints specifically designed for folks like yourself whilst showcasing absolutely nothing of the country you're visiting, then fill your boots chump.

All cruise ships are different. Some don't feel so cramped. If you were to get on board Cunard line, it really doesn't feel that busy at all. You can always find somewhere to tuck yourself away. We've been on many over the years. We have been on around 4 cruises around the med twice, to Greece once and to Russia once. We've been on Cunard and P&O (Same company that do ferries).
P&O cruises is a different company ho P&0 ferries. It’s owned by Carnival Corporation.

I have heard so much about cruises being so wonderful but I think a holiday should be a time to relax and unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet. This was neither peaceful or quiet, and I honestly can't think of anything worse.

I must admit to ringing the bell at the top of the climbing wall to my daughter’s amazement. I think your wife hit it on the head to say you need to keep an open mind about crusing. It’s such a big ship but is designed to accommodate all the passengers on board. I’ve never had a bad cruise and find the bigger the ship the better. Best of luck in the future.

I love Royal Caribbean and I've been on quite a lot of cruises with them and other cruise lines. It was interesting to watch your review from the 'first time cruiser' prospective, speaking about things that I now just take for granted. You'll find P&O a more 'British' experience but that can be a double edged sword, especially as you are now a pseudo Septic!! I think this was a great addition to your channel and I'm sure it will reach a wider audience, thanks 👍

Great video and always fun when Noel and family are together. I went on a big cruise a long time ago - the ship was massive (but smaller compared to what they are now). I did love it but I didn't enjoy being "trapped" for many hours at a time and being surrounded by 000s of people got a bit wearing. It's astonishing how large these ships are - I marvel at how they even build them. Noel is heading close to 0.5M subscribers!!
As someone who got into cruise videos after finding your channel I feel like I somehow manifested this. I think my favorite part was you using all the flight jargon even though you were on a boat 😭

We love cruises!! We usually go out of Cape Canaveral in FL. Our kids absolutely love them.
Loads of food, I love relaxing; kids can stay busy. I usually get a bottle of wine to have at dinner… they will keep it for you!

I’ve been on quite a few cruises, most out of Galveston, most on Royal. We were on Allure of the Seas last summer. It’s huge, but they have the high diving show, which is very entertaining. We did on-ship excursions that involved eating. Lol. One was a kitchen tour, then unlimited champagne brunch, and the other was a fancy dining experience for lunch that showcased food from all the fine dining restaurants. They were fun, and not too terribly expensive. We love the getaway, unplug, relax aspect of cruising.
I am going to share this vid with everyone who has said to me they don’t think cruising is for them. You and your family’s perspective is very down to earth and relatable. I did miss the usual loo review intro tho 😂 Your ship is one of my favorites and it’s nice to see you give it some ❤.
