I love this "Hu We Are" series! I think a lot of people are first hearing about and learning about Mongolia through an interest piqued by this band. Getting a chance to learn about the culture they sing about is a real treat!

I was very lucky to have visited Mongolia 12 years ago and have been desperate to get back ever since. The country is beautiful and her people are so warm that it felt like home to me. Listening to The Hu reconnects me with one of the happiest times of my life and I feel very lucky to have found them.

I am 66 years old and my son introduced me to the Hu in 2019. I just loved everything about he band. The musical instruments which are so beautiful visually, the individual sounds they make. Then there is the different ways you all use/do throat singing.
The overall professionalism you all present astounds.
Now here we are being given a tour through your personal family space and being educated about the diversity of your cultural musical instruments. Thank you for sharing a snippet of your life with us. Kā nui te aroha ki a koutou katoa. From Aotearoa/New Zealand.

I have so much respect for this man and everybody in the band. I do not understand the Mongolian language... But I will tell you this much right now... I can feel it. The first song I heard was Shireg Shireg. I had no idea who they were. I had no idea what to expect. About 30 seconds into the first verse I had tears streaming down both sides of my face. I didn't know what he was saying... But it hit me hard. I have never ever in my life had such an emotional response to any music. Don't get me wrong there's a lot of music that does get an emotional response from me but not like that song did.
I absolutely love everything that these guys put out. And I hope and pray that they continue to do so for many many many years.
If you guys read this... Thank you. From the bottom of my heart.. Thank you. Your music is... It's nothing short of absolutely amazing and very very powerful. You definitely have a fan for life with me. 🙏

about the Indian flute in this video that could have been "cracked", its a common thing to happen when wooden items are brought from southern countries, they end up getting cracked because of the climate difference. The wooden items are made in hot, humid climate but Mongolia is dry and cold for most of the time :S

My granddaughter was able to see you in concert in Kansas a couple of weeks ago. She loved it. Had I known you were playing I would have gone too. Thanks for sharing a little of your life with us.

This "Hu We Are" is brilliant because you connect with everyone on a personal level, i was going to say human level but only because the onlooker is seen as a "Fan", Music is The Language everyone understands & after that meeting of minds we get this & it is great. Your Wife & Daughters are gorgeous & very important because they are the ones who hold you through it all. You play flute(s), clever & you are good, there are those who play but not all are good 😉 Goodonya & sorry i missed your Australian tour, i was so disappointed but unwell. I was born in Scotland & you have some sounds to your Language that resemble ours & our Musical instrument is just as unique & haunting (Bagpipes ) & your food lol, you'd be well accepted back home, me not so much because i prefer Vegan but love those Pine Nuts 😊 Much Love To You & Your Beautiful Family 🙏

This video is soooo heart-warming. That song at the beginning... the throat-singing, the tovshuur. The discourse about the Mongolian culture. I love you guys!!

This was so touching. Thank you for sharing with the fans in such a heart warming and friendly way. Almost feels like this person could befriend with every single human being in this big world. Oh, and that casual singing in the beginning - it was marvelous !

I love this! The throat singing is amazing, as is the leatherwork and the artwork - and the little girl is SO sweet with her ‘go-go’❣️ What a gifted and accomplished man - I’m so glad the world is now able to appreciate his music. 🙏😃
