- Angels! Today we are using the longsword otherwise known as the best sword to run over Lionspire. The defense has no chance in this Chivalry 2 gameplay. We are of course playing on pc in first person for this team objective gameplay. Agatha gets smacked!

Can you cancel feints?
honestly im starting to prefer the war club of all things. I made myself use it to get a skin and ended up getting my highest scores in the game yet! overheads are so good when accelerated
yeah war club accells great for 1v1 but its not great group fights

@@StridahsAngels yeah 1v2 is ok , but anything more becomes a task. I certainly had a major shift in playstyle to use it well.
@@StridahsAngels ive found as long as theres 3 guys you should be good, most of the time enemy attacks fall into a pattern of as they start yours is going, ive played with the war club since the game dropped so not as good as it use to be but in a one on two its a easy dub

im sure longsword is pretty hard to slip in some kicks but there is some key moments where reading your opponent would’ve ended the fight quicker and with possibly more hp also with your slash you should always turn in a way that the release animation hits it so basically the beginning of the slash hit box collide with the person, speeds up fights and doesn’t allow your opponent to react as quick
Was on standalone servers yesterday and I was ripping with that bad boy Longsword haha Its so smooth when you start to get in the groove.

Longswords are historically not very good against armor. They’re typically used as sidearms in the medieval period. Kind of like how you would use a pistol as a sidearm and a rifle as your main weapon. Knights would use pole arms as they’re main weapon because of the added reach and power.
Yep many swords became status symbols more than anything

Call me crazy but I like the sledgehammer out of all the weapons! People really don't respect the damage output and assume it's an easy win if they're using a long range weapon.
It's also my favorite weapon to troll with!

Messer has better special attack and does more damage but you'll get more hits in with the longsword
At 2:25, you did a combo stab after the heavy stab and feinted it into an overhead, but you were able to parry out of the overhead? I thought you couldn’t parry out of or cancel a feint attack, am I wrong or was that an attack cancel from the stab into the overhead?
i was wondering that too. it said faint on screen so i dont understand how he canceled it with a block
Ziggy did the same in one of his vids I asked him how and he said that you can cancel heavies and feints if you’re comboing them. I tried it, but I could get it to work 😬
I don’t know if it works on pc, but on console you can cancel attacks with certain button inputs besides holding the block button. Makes for some really weird looking animations

Ive noticed that sometimes i can faint my heavy attacks while charging the attack and its even my first attack not a combo. Kinda feels like a bug

I played lots of footman to get to level 40 to unlock the champion brigand set. I missed my longsword. As soon as I unlocked it I had to play knight, I could feel the blood thrist comming from my long sword...

@@StridahsAngels I swear, when I pick it up again after a pause and feel the speed and fluidity. I feel like the messer as good as it is it doesn't have what the longsword has, no weapon does. And the astethics of the thing while playing as a knights its just what we all picture in our mind when we thing about " medieval ". Its just iconic.
Is there a reason you prefer first person over third? ive always prefered 3rd but you make 1st look alot better

Well, you do have the messer. Not the same, but the closest option. Weaker stabs, stronger slashes and overheads.

Stridah, I have a business idea for you. 1 on 1 private lessons. Working on an individual basis to help a player improve. I know for me I would like to get better at countering (I am always running out of stamina in duels). Maybe work with the player, give them some areas of focus etc. I would pay money for a private lesson. I don't know, I could be the only one but maybe it's a way to generate additional revenue. Just an idea.

I stopped playing this stupid things. The community is not so friendly for biggers. Lv 20 vs lv 100 what a joke
What we can expect? Zero, none of team balancing mechanism in TDM modes. Almost all games right now looks the same - higher lvl/skill players, veterans, just join attackers and in most games, since start - you know how game will end, with newcommers sealclubbing.
Such games are extremely boring.
I regret buying this game, it's waste of time.
