    What foam are u using in your studio. Looks like it stuck easily on the wall. Is that glue? And can it be easily removed? Thanks in advance.

      I don’t think he’s using foam, he seems to be using acoustic panels which can be bought or made yourself.
      Search for them online and loads of videos explaining them and/or explaining how to make them yourself.

      @@callsign_cerberus159 he is right, air gaps between the panels and the walls will improve the performance drastically. Not talking about sound proofing

      @@MartinFellerMusicnot necessarily? Could be wrong but I don’t see how?

    • @MartinFellerMusic
      @MartinFellerMusic Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@callsign_cerberus159 Leaving about a 1/4 cycle (depending on the frequency you want to target) between the wall and panel will improve the performance. That is because sound reflecting from the wall has 0 energy at the exact point of the wall. The wave (of a specific frequency) is at it's highest at 1/4 of it's wave cycle (because it goes up and down to do a full cycle). The panels have little to zero impact at the exact point of the wall. However, in practice this is usable for lower frequencies. The higher frequencies will already be entirely absorbed by the panel itself depending on the material and its absorption level. Leaving a gap will cost you less money while having practically as much absorption as if you would fill it up entirely. If you have a tight budget, this is a smart move that not a lot of people know about.

    • @jonathanfilms408
      @jonathanfilms408 Před rokem

      ima keep it real any type of acoustic is good tbh i only have two of the foam panels but i turned one into a sound reflector by cutting it in to 4 equal parts and then sewing it together to make a box but i made mine without the bottom piece so i can use it on different mic stands and mounts

      They absorb high-frequency reflections and therefore improve the ratio of direct sound to reflected sound.
