Ok, the closet hack just sent me back to my childhood when I would just hang out in my mothers walk-in closet because it was so quiet. In my head and I can stand there and remember how quiet and acoustically inert it was. Now I know what I need to work towards for my big room. Thanks so much for that reminder.
as i dont see this tip.. something everybody has in a beginners bedroom studio is a matrass. set up your mic in a corner of your room and place the matras upright to close it of in a sort of triangle form. Not everybody has a loose big piece of carpet or has 20 blankets that they can use freely, but every bedroom studio has a bed...dont forget to make up your bed when your done tho..
Awesome content. I have a 25lb weighted blanket thats too heavy ro sleep under..id like to incorporate it in a vocal corner or mini tent vibe Any ideas?
Nit: you might have carpets and blankets lieing around your own house, but those are not things I find in my 10 square foot manhattan room :P I mean, I guess there's a blanket on my bed, but that's about it :P
This is poor advice. Don’t ever record in a closet. Don’t use blankets. Treat the room with insulated panels, couches, and yes rugs, then record in the room. Nobody doing music seriously records in a closet

Great 👏. The fact that your voice is heard so well without having the microphone very close is proof of good acoustic treatment.
Thanks so much for watching man!!
Epic treatment gotta buy :(

Thanks! Many good ideas. I'm just completing a house with a dedicated room for audio/video auditions. Sound quality has been the biggest issue.
