- “I really didn’t think I would be playing this character again,” Hayden Christensen says reprising the role of Darth Vader, the Dark Side iteration of Anakin Skywalker from the ‘Star Wars’ prequel films. “He’s got a lot of anger,” the actor says of Vader’s emotional state in the new Disney+ series ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi,’ which finds Ewan McGregor also returning to the ‘Star Wars’ universe as the title character. Rotten Tomatoes host Naz Perez tries to squeeze some scoop out of Christensen about Vader’s potential appearance in upcoming series ‘Ahsoka,’ which stars Rosario Dawson as the Jedi from ‘Star Wars‘ animated series and the role she played in The Mandalorian.’

Hayden is just so genuine and he seems to be really enjoying all this, which makes me happy because the hate he got was so unfair. It’s so cool to see him grown up, but still so chill and with the absolute reverence of a true fan.

I’m just so damn appreciative to Hayden and Ewan. They could’ve easily evaded a project like this and went on with their lives. Especially Hayden who received such senseless backlash for the prequels. Instead, they both decided to return to these characters with a vengeance and boy did they deliver! So happy with these two :)

hayden's bad performance had to due with the bad writing in attack of the clones, revenge of the sith... hayden was spot on. as a child jedi was my favorite. as an adult revenge of the sith is my favorite. i enjoyed his other movie jumper as well, even though it was a shallow thriller, his performance was good.
It’s crazy how Hayden is really just like Anakin. George did a perfect job picking him. Kinda a quite soft spoken nice guy, just like Anakin, but at the same time he kinda has that darkness in his eyes if you know what I mean. Like he has these negative emotions in his head but can’t express them, just like Anakin. Hayden will forever be the real Anakin. Even 100 years from now when they are still making Star Wars movies and have new actors, Hayden will go down in history as the most legit Anakin. So happy I got two signatures from him!

I hope Hayden feels all the love he deserves. His portrayal in the finale was immense. One of those moments that stay with you forever.
I never forget him I miss him and respect him so much for stepping back from Hollywood and being true to who he is living in Canada and being a farmer 🐑 and father. I stood next to him in valet at the montage hotel years ago and I was so star struck he was there w his brother and I couldn’t move. He had this pleasant grin that I’ll never forget and he’s definitely a presence. ❤️😅

The Anakin/Vader scenes were my absolute favorite in the show, and it makes me happy knowing it was Hayden doing a phenomenal job. I'm so glad he's back in Star Wars, can't wait to see more of him in the role!
Hayden will always be Anakin to me. Thought he was great in the Prequels. The freaks that abused him wouldn’t have been happy with anyone playing that role as a youngster but I thought he was great.

Love all the loving happy comments! George Lucas was right! He said the prequels will gain in popularity in 10 years or so when that population who only liked the OT matured. And boom he was right! Very very interesting man, brilliant! He studied anthropology so he was educated in human evolution and psychology! We were so so fortunate to have him bring forth 1 2 3 4 5 6. Clone Wars. The interest , love and connection we get from his stories have lasted three plus generations now ! I believe into infinity! They echo and resonate deep in our humanity. They have helped us all who resonate as he does! Love you George Lucas.

He is a brilliant actor that just draws you in. And Anakin/Vader is such an integral and interesting part of Star Wars. Would watch the series just to see him.

Hayden Christensen was awesome. The show was meh
Hard disagree! But to each their own.
I agree the show could have been a lot better. Personally I didn't like how much the story revolved around the little kid Leia. With that being said there were some pretty awesome moments that brought back the nostalgia from past films. I'd give the show a 7/10.
This show would have been meh, if not for the Finale. It tied everything together in such a way I did not believe could have been done, the pace was set, slow at times and most of the show was very dark which, I wasn't complaining, but made some details and scenes hard to make out. Still, I would pay money for a Vader series or even a vader movie. And I'm willing to bet I'm not alone on that. Imagine the Mandalorian running into him. I'm just saying, Hayden was good, we could use some more of him while we still can.
@@tylerbrickman honestly with vader, less is more, He didnt have much screen time at all in the origional trilogy and the times we do see him are so memorable. I dont think we should get a vader TV show. All of his appearances on this show were perfect.

Vader is trash in this movie... He literaly did 3 attacks and bum on his knees.. I meam he was always trash in all movies.. While when he was anikin movies were awsome everyfight was awsome
