One distinct Filipino trait I can say that differs from others is the way we engage socially. We don't actually listen or talk, we always try out listeners to be that comfortable talking with us with no malicious intentions. Just pure heart and innocence.

As a Filipino who was a sailor and traveled everywhere in the world, i have seen filipinos everywhere i go and very much appreciate their resilience to adapt to the country they migrated to all in the name of having the ability to send money back home to their loved ones. We do it for our families as it is the most important value our culture has.

In Denmark it's because of the language. You can't go far if you can't speak (and write!) Danish. Also that in industries that pay well, there IS some kind of racism and a lot of prejudice involved (whether you admit it or not) . Usually, if you are not a Dane and has a foreign name ( even if you were born here) , most likely you'd be overlooked. Some international companies (such as Mærsk) that have remote offices elsewhere in the world, then there are a handful that are based here in CPH for work reasons. Many nannies working in DK are actually college grads from their home country. It's a sad fact, but that's the truth. They need the job. And Danes are impressed with their domestic helpers and perhaps unbeknownst to them the biggest reason is this-- most of them are actually well educated. Imagine getting a nanny -- and in reality, that nanny was a nurse/teacher/marketing grad/accounting grad etc. in her home country. You get the picture.

Yeah, I blame the media and corporations for brainwashing Pilipino that being white is beautiful. And worse, school students bully people with darker complexions.
We are the most hospitable people, but we are one of the most vindictive when we are felt betrayed or been crossed.
We can dish insults and jokes, but never take them as good as others.
Most of us are racists, but when you take a jab of Pilipino's in joke, examples are:
In Desperate Housewives took a scalding remark about Pilipino medical schools.

Most pure, ethnic Filipinos are of Astronesian heritage and in time mixed with other Asians such as the Chinese, Malayan, Europeans such as the Spanish, French and others from their progenitors.
Hence, when you say you're of a certain heritage, you're referring to a 'tribe' or where you have adapted the vernacular and not based alone on physical appearance.
    Most are heinz 57.
My take on most filipinos are SEXY and playful!

But my sisters have darker complexion than mine (my youngest sister's fair skin turned tan because of skin asthma. Also, not all Filipinos are good singers because I'm horrible at it too. What's mostly true is that Filipinos love music and dance and we have a colorful culture that serves as inspiration in our creativity.

    unpopular opinion:
We Filipinos love to hang around social media and we over patronize ourselves whenever we hear someone talk about us. The mainstream media psyched us that even a minuscule of some popular celebrity who does not even know us is related to Filipino descent, we should be proud of them being our men.
Is this the reason why your vlog is talking about us?
I came here to find out why suddenly you talk about us but there was no background and all. I will take it as for the clout like any others.
