  • Hi everyone, welcome to another garage video! (Apologies in advance for the swear word while driving, Georgina cannot help herself) Just Georgina in this one, for the first time! Apologies for any mistakes generally and any issues with the audio but as a first attempt I'm happy with this, we hope you enjoy the video as always!

    Happy that you accomplished your dream. When I was younger, everyday on my way to school, I would stop by the magazine stand to see this beauty. It was the only way to admit he beauty, and one day I saw a dark green TT ZX. It was a dream to see one

    These cars find people not the other way around. I had one when I was 18 and ended up selling it because I wasn't ready to fix up a 90's sports car. But now. 10 years later one rolled into the dealership nextstore to my business and I couldn't get away from it. It wanted me and I wanted it. It's a beautiful red convertible NA and I'm in LOVE. It's made me get back into maintaining my own vehicles again too! This time around I'm in it for the long haul. Can't wait to see what she turns into! Congrats on purchasing yours they are truly timeless vehicles

    Nice zx at a very good price. These sports cars are very special as you have found out when you had your first drive. Their no need to go crazy,, boosting the power, as all 300 zx TT's have more than enough power to make any drive fun.
    As a 300 zx TT owner, you will soon realize that this beauty naturally attracts a lot of attention ..... or ........ criticism if you neglect her. ha ha
    Love your 300 zx & she will reward you with a reliable, exciting driving experience while providing you with an endless opportunity to make new friends. ha ha

    Beautiful Z! It reminds me of my car. The best modification would be to ensure that the timing belt service is in order, and to check the detonation sensor before adding a boost controller to the mix. Also, the ECU sits under the passenger footwell!

      One advice I'll give you is this car is a lion keep it undercontrol because it has Alot of power so be "very" careful of being tempted to put your footdown a, don't cut corners by buying cheep tyres (Michelins tyres would be the best choice) and last advise do not let other people drive your car no matter what

  • @merlin5751

    I know its more of an engine side change but id highly suggest getting larger intercoolers. Z1 as example offers some great in house solutions that are nearly a perfect stock fit.
    The carbon canister might needs a bit of re-arranging but a fairly easy fit overall yet makes quite a difference already.
    As far as interior goes i suggest getting leather wrap covers for the sun visors, makes it look that much more prestige. Of course another huge improvement that i notice now everytime, i swapped the interior lights from bulbs to LED. it lights up the dash so much nicer than the bulbs did.
    And of course make sure to regularly change the oil, the VG30DETT is a capable engine but these cars are very unforgiving when it comes to neglecting service. Most cars are, but these more so than others.

    • @OGCars
      @OGCars  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you so much for the advice! Any recommendations for intercoolers? It’s something I’ve looked into but not yet done!

    93 have hydrolic rear wheel steering. 94-96 have electronic steering. 90-93 fuel rail support Nismo 550cc injectors. 94-96 fuel rail supports Nismo 740cc injectors. Good luck with that. Most 90-93 owners delete their AWS with a kit, because the PS hose leaks all under the car. The 300ZX race cars had AWS.

    Where is the wing? I had a band new 1990 Twin Turbo Z in SF California... loved it... drove it 18,000 miles - dumped it moving to LA for film school for a 1991 4Runner and cried. I went through 3 sets of fronts and 2 sets of backs... As for tires - go for Michelin Pilot 4S pilot sports - the best rated!... I'd recommend what I'm driving instead a 330hp+ with mods 2005 silver Infiniti G35 with no Turbo... newer, faster, no turbo and about $8K plus sunroof used now. (I love my sunroof!). Thanks for the memories and your great UK accent. Enjoy! Try a G and forget the Z... as you get back seats even on the G35 6mt coupe which lowers insurance.

    These cars are a 90's Japanese classic. You should try to make it as original as possible. Great thought and engineering went into the design and execution of this vehicle. The notion for the first time buyer is to Mod the heck out of it simply ruins the car's original design. As time goes on the more you leave the car original the more valuable it is. Would you mod the heck out of a Ferrari GTO. Heck no! Just restore the car to it's original glory is what I would recommend. Very few of these cars will be left unmolested in the future. That's what makes them rare and desirable.
