I love this car so much, ive been obsessed with this car for almost 10 years. If i ever hit the lotto...im buying two,one to be completely stock and mint...and the other one modified to the teeth and running insane amount of power.
I bought me a 94 NA and even then the thing is still bar none the best car I have ever owned. I currently daily it and no matter what I try to do with this thing it just cuts its way through the air doing it. The thing is damn impressive, and crazy fun to drive theres really no other feeling like darting around in one of these. If you dont got one, get it yo
The z32 was the best Z car ever made. I love the original gen 240z and even the 280z, but when the z32tt was introduced it became a true world class sports car. No other z has done that.
Had this model years ago. really miss it. Have an 88 in resto- now, can't wait til she's done. Want to by a second Z32 TT and use as a daily drive. Hard to believe this car was designed so well that you can use her to run errands for the family and after you've finished the chores, take her straight to the track!!!
I owned a white 300zx Twin turbo in 2005 which was Auto. Loved it, but I have just put down a deposit to buy another Red 300zx Twin Turbo Manual. Can't wait to get my hands on it. Its also a shame that these cars are either disappearing from the roads as they get sent to the wrecking yards or find themselves in the hands of some punk who modifies it into a trashy piece of junk. Mine will be kept immaculate and mostly original Nissan specs. !990's Japanese sports cars....those were they days. This car has to go down as one of the best cars of all time. Even for today its specs are at the top of the game. Back in 1989 when they released this car it had performance and features that even the European cars did not have. Sex on wheels!
Ichi Ichi helll yeaaaaah you understand US NISSAN LOVERS 💪💪💪💪 NISSAN for Life i drive a sickasss Maxima 07 just in Love and i have a list of a shitlaod of Nissans ill be buying to like the Silvia and the 240sx and all the Z models
This is quite possibly one of the coolest videos I have ever seen! I own 2 300ZX's. A 1990 Twin Turbo and a 1990 Non Turbo. I had a 2011 370Z and it doesn't even compare to the awesomeness that is the 300ZX Twin Turbo.
I first had a 1990 2+2 z and wanted to sell it. I went to test drive a 370znismo. got back into my old z and concluded. the 370znismo had nothing on my 2+2. I now own a 90 tt z and will never sell it.
My favorite Z would be the 2005 350Z Special 35th Anniversary Edition, in Vibrant Yellow paint...it comes with the updated 3.5 VQ Engine which produced an even 300HP!!! 2004 and older 350Z's made 287HP, but sure for a small 2 seater sports car 287HP is pretty much all you need! but I would still prefer to get the extra 13HP, especially when the price difference between a 2004 Z and 2005 Z is practically $0.... Another reason why I would prefer 2005 350Z is the updated headlights and taillights, the headlights look the same as before but with new BiXenon Projector bulb's....but the best design update that really stands out to me, the new LED Taillights that looks absolutely gorgeous at night....the interior also has a few minor changes, like the in cabin materials, they supposed to be a little better quality.
lol come on man ... the 370z is a world of a difference of a car. Safety, interior comfort, technology, LIGHTING, faster, NA, 6 speed, just everything is extremely refined in later vehicles. Dont take this the wrong way, I'm not bashing the 300zx, it was a great car for its time, but be realistic when comparing cars 30 years apart. Its like saying your 1990's color tube TV that still works is an amazing piece of technology since it plays VHS tapes and is super shiny, vs a new flat screen lcd tv. As amazing as the 300zx and supras of that time were, we cant negate the fact that newer vehicles are far superior.
@@oneeyedrone4293 in some ways technically better mainly from being more modern, but certainly not as interesting technology wise. And definitely not from a stylistic standpoint. The Z32 300ZX is pretty much universally recognized as a timeless design that's aged extremely well & will continue to do so. The same certainly can't be said for the 350/370Z series, Nismo or otherwise, which to make matters worse is a shared platform w/Infiniti to cut costs. The Z32 is a totally unique platform, designed ground up to be a world class sports car(granted, in the late '80's). Even crucial welds on the chassis were done by hand. None of this applies to the 350/370Z. While certainly not perfect, it's also commonly recognized the quality of materials on the Z32 is superior to the 2 latter versions. For all these reasons the collectablility of Z32's is proving greater, & this gap will continue increasing over time. The 350/370Z's are cool cars no doubt, but sports cars destined to become highly desirable classics like a 911, 308, or the Z32 don't count on it. Unlike the Z32 they certainly aren't groundbreaking by any stretch...
I love my 300zx twin turbo... the only thing I don't like is that there is no room at all to work in the engine bay... They've managed to fit a big 3L twin turbo V6 in a small and very shallow engine bay so there is nothing accessible. I had to remove so many things just to access the power steering pump and the alternator.
ichi ichi your right Budd This car was and is a JDM legend 300zx it's unique piece of art Keep it up Nissan hope one Day u bring back this rare beauty once again and show what Nissan has to offer
Had a 91 pearl black on black, best car ever! Stage 7, miss her, a lot of work I put in. Rocking an 86 300zx widebody "chuki" still trying to find my old Z, went to cali, now in Arizona. It was in mags, can't find it. 17yrs ago if I remember.
Just found me a 177k mile Black '96 Twin Turbo completely stock for $10k, immaculate interior with minor dents in the hood from acorns, no rust at all. Super-HICAS still works and everything. Engine/Tranny were rebuilt 20k miles ago, have the paperwork in the glove box, over $4k of work. Had to choose between this an an '85 Grand National, probably would have went with the GN except it was a hot-air version (no intercooler) and only made 200hp for that boat of a car. Love them both, but I think I made the right decision. These 90's Japanese Sports Cars (Supra, 300zxTT, 3000GT VR-4, RX-7) are going to be the next 60's muscle-esque classics. I have the rarest year model, only 577 turbos were made in 96, including the last 300, and only a fraction of them were manual. Hate to say it, but if this thing ever gets up to current MK4 Supra prices, Im gonna have to part with it. PS: How is this thing quicker than my 91 Trans Am GTA? Trans Am: 5.7L V8 - 245hp, 345lb-ft, 4spd auto, 3,300lbs, 245/245 -- 0-60: 6.3s 300zx: 3.0L V6 - 300hp, 283lb-ft, 5spd manual, 3,500lbs, 225/245 -- 0-60: 5.4s Differences: +55hp, -62lb-ft, +200lbs
Back in the day when people were generally clever enough to understand basic technical information! All people know these days about their cars is "it does 0-60 in..."
Absolutely. Personally I think the front grill looks better on the na's, the car is lighter and it still produces 222hp without the turbo's. I think the z32 is just an around good looking car though.
A Phenomenal car to be included in car and driver's top ten list from 1990 to 96 consecutively. That's every year it was eligible. Supra , rx7 or 3000gt never made it to this exalted list.
I had same, a 2-seater stick in Glacier Pearl Metallic. Am slightly over 6' 2" myself & had no problem getting in. Even on a bad day, grab the outer T-top frame & swing in. Getting out sure kept the legs in shape, but still miss that car!
Makes me so mad that I sold mine it was the most awesome car it absolutely drove like a gem only 120000 km on the clock that's like 60000 miles and was in immaculate condition. All stock except the crime 17" rims god I miss my car😥
What spec/color? So rare, prob last time I saw one had to be 8 yrs ago at the salvage yd of my dad's friend - sadly a stripped Cherry Red met. Strangely body was clean basically just needed psgr fender. Prob could've got shell for $500 or even less, but nowhere to put it. Hate to think what came of it...people can be so dumb!
skyline owners will never understand i had both the skyline after the z33 TT 2+2....selling the z is the biggest mistake i ever did I always wanted one wen i had it it was my second car...I use to pull it outta the garage on a Friday night and spend all weekend in it...The z32 wen you sit in the wrap around cockpit is something else......especially with the roof off....man i wikk have another one b4 I die and I'll have that one till i die... one word .....AGELESS!
My dad has one in near mint condition, red ,black leather interior , manual...with about 60,000 miles on it.. .I don't get to drive it that often but it is heaven when I do
my favorite quote from this video: "here you have a car that's as striking at rest, as it is in motion" finally i found the perfect wording to describe our Z32's sexiness!
Always loved the wedge shape design of the Z32. A buddy of mine had a black N/A with T-Tops back in high school. It was a fun car, but nowhere near as amazing as the R35 GT-R he got a little over a decade later
When I was a child Nissan Z was my dream car. now my age is 35 and recently have a 1987 Nissan 300ZX Turbo. because of the price I can't buy a 90-91 model.
@jedijeff123 ok ill take ur word,, i just saw the interior shot and saw the center trim running behind the front seats but its always possiable to use multiple cars,
It's a Nissan, it's reliable as a rock. My friend has two of these and nothing has gone wrong with them in 3 years that he has owned them.. its just pure solid Japanese engineering. Parts are available though, if needed
More than 20 years old and still looks good
Now 30
very timeless look. Dream car and i dont even like sports car usually
@@flusteredweasel7483 and looks even better
In my opinion the best looking car Nissan ever made
NOW 30 AND IF YOU BRING ONE TO A CAR MEET YOU ARE THE KING PASSING SUPRAS AND MODERN GTR
TOP GEAR says this is the car of the Century ...
I dont remember that. Do you know in wich episode they featured the z ?
No matter what car you get, if you glance back at it every time you are in a parking lot, you made the right choice!

30 years, and still looking good.
Got a White 91 TT! Love this car! Currently 442 whp! Plus it looks great!
I LOVE nostalgic stuff like this. 90s is where it's at.
Wow, the 300zx really feels more like an 80s car haha. Has that Miami Vice feel, sweet!
I bought me a 94 NA and even then the thing is still bar none the best car I have ever owned. Loved this car since I was little, the shape caught my eye and I've been stuck on them ever since.
The best Nissan Z
90-96 The best looking z
So much this. Park this next to basically anything today, especially with the 2k spec updates, and it looks right at home. Not even slightly dated.
The VG30DE/VG30DETT looks so majestic, best looking engine ever.

I'm with you. I've resisted the urge to modify my '96, save for a better exhaust system. 16,000 miles on my pristine baby.

u got it?
When Nissan was at it's peak. That 1990 twin turbo z gave Corvette a bloody nose that year. They actually started from a blank sheet of paper.
I've been looking for this video! I had a monster Z32 and loved this video! thanks for posting!! you're my hero!
Thanks for sharing this. I just took mine out from storage. Spring is here!
Brilliant video. One of the best done on the 300zx. I love this car. I have a manual 1990 tt swb Slicktop.
Thanks for posting.
i stopped this video early almost cried tears
Really great documentary. I love my Z. That’s why I restarted my CZcams channel.
We enjoyed this factual summary of our beautiful z32 300 zx TT. Thanks for sharing.
I love this video! Thanks for the upload!
Este es el mejor documental que eh visto en mi vida
I 💘 my Z32! It's a non turbo but with the amount of miles on it I'm glad because she still run's GR8 !!!
And you have almost 70 more horsepower than I have in my 240SX!
Nostalgia... I miss the 90s, but at least my Z will always remind me of it ^_^
Hell I still want a 300Z turbo
I had 2 in Japan. A turbo and then an N/A..both 2+2.. i miss em! My most loved car i ever owned. I might get another one day!
Fireball Fireball is there a 4 seat twin turbo 300 HP I'm buying a z 1990 its a 4 seated but he say its 300 hp
thanks for posting this video..I need a 300zx to go with my 94 maxima.
That's the reason I'll keep my 93 ZX TT until I die.
Totally agree.

I love that 90s bgm

It's 2023, almost 2024 and this car still looks better than most of the cars on the road today. Too bad it's too expensive now.
Thanks for the great video!!! Love my Red 1990 300zx-TT lic plate (Z-YA-BYE)

Nissan WAS the shit back in the days.

+thestylus09 Nah. The renault alliance has killed Nissan's reliability.
Very cool for 300ZX fans!

this is a beautiful car !!!
makes me miss driving my z32 :(
Why do I love this.
Bought my 1990 when it had 90K kilometres now done 270K kilometres, and still hammers, with the same engine and turbos.
yes, it really is that good. i used to own one. 4 wheel steering is insane.
The subwoofer part killed it, this is a sports car!
Thanks awesome vid

Toss a lightweight underdrive pulley on it, that will solve your low torque issues.
