The real question is, why is my bench heavier than my squat?
Lol
Because everyday is chest day
Not for long man...not for long
Don't skip leg day
Julius Maddox type beat
First time I've seen Rip not criticise the question
Just the english haha
When my squat was higher than my DL it was because I held the bar too far forward from my shins at the start of the pull.

If you lock out your deadlift above your nuts, you might just have long nuts.
Sorry, that joke was low hanging fruit.
Nuts are not fruit
Woosh
That took alot of balls
You had a ball with that comment, didn't you.
@@HAL-dm1eh pretty ballsy
Rip loves reading out peoples numbers.😁
Rip, I lock my deadlift out over my nuts... But I don't know if that is because I have short arms or long nuts. Help!
I have short legs and a long torso. Rip is right when it comes to modifying your squat a little bit.
Why is my press lighter than my dumbbell curl?
Weak shoulders or lack of shoulder mobility (if your question isn’t rhetorical)
He could be more helpful if these questions were more specific. What kind of rack pull? Are you definitively hitting squat depth? What’s your bodyweight (big gut guys often squat more than they deadlift), are you pulling conventional or sumo?
Could be a bodyweight thing. Look at all the 275lb and above powerlifters and some of the 231s, they have bigger squats than deadlifts. It just easier for big guys to squat than it is to pull. If you're small then this is definitely an abnormality.
With numbers like that, I'm gonna assume it's not a 300+ lbs guy though
@@mrdune5479 Not only is it a 300+ pound guy, it's a 400+ pound guy.
Didn't this question get answered a few weeks ago. I remember hearing Vietnam sausages during the clip.
it's a clip from the podcast for people who don't have time to sit through a full podcast for this info

More often than not either it's short stubby fingers or just a weak grip.

I’m 16 My deadlift pr is 130kg and I can squat the same weight for 13 reps and yes I do have short arms
I have short arms and long torso... The bar does come up to my nuts unfortunately
I want that coffee cup
Deadliftift off of 4 inch blocks if you have alligator arms.
Ronnie Coleman said it's because the bar is higher and gravity is lower. Makes perfect sense if you think about it.
IDK man it feels like some people are just out to over-complicate fitness.
Ronnie said many things and fortunately for him we will remember him for his achievements not words. Well, except "lightweight baby" and few other phrases :p
wait the bar doesn't come up to the nuts for most people? Damn, no wonder my squat is higher than my deadlift.
Man I'm squatting 655 and I'm deadlifting 460 I need fucking help pronto I fucking suck at deadlift I need tips
