The two birders discuss sound technology, the overlap between musicians and bird watchers, and the origins of the BirdGenie app. This interview was recorded at West Virginia's 2018 New River Birding and Nature Festival.

thanks. i wish i got interested in birdsong at an earlier age. maybe the lack of tools like iphone and audacity held me back. i'm trying to analyse birdsong as well. just for fun sake, seeing how far I can get in Lisp. But for the moment I'm kind of stuck at the fourier transformation. Yes, I suck at math.
