- Race 2 of 2024 and the first since my Marathon in Newport.
Semington Slog 10k.
Small local race raising money for the school.
I’m still recovering from injury after my marathon but really enjoyed this race last year and just wanted to get back out there and run.
It was VERY Hot 🥵 absolutely gorgeous out but probably too hot to run. Enjoyed it all the same though.

It’s ok but you get what you pay for! Image stabilisation isn’t the best and 4K is more likely upscaled. I need to save and buy something better if I’m to continue making videos. Currently have my eye on the Dji action 3.
It would be easier on slower paced runs but 5k,10k where I’m usually working harder, and more breathy, talking and holding a camera is easier said than done 😂
@@CarlTheAmateurRunner Yeah to be very honest, when the idea of documenting my running came into my head, I wasn’t really thinking about image and sound quality!
In the end, I chose to invest in my camera (DJI Action 4) which I bought from Wex which I pay a small amount each month for!
The flip side is my editing is zero cost because I use my iPhone and CapCut mobile so I’ve not invested in Adobe Premiere or anything like that. Mainly because I don’t have a Mac or anything to run it properly!
@@keirenoutdoors same. I thought initially I could just use my phone to vlog. In terms of editing, I also use my phone and free software. It’s a starting point and hopefully as time goes by I can add things to make and edit better videos in the future.
@@CarlTheAmateurRunner yeah that’s it! Unless you got some sort of gimble for the iPhone but yeah not ideal! Good enough for talking stuff though!
