- Prince Harry looked “absolutely distraught” as the state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II concluded on Monday, The Daily Mirror Royal Editor Russell Myers says.
“I think the images you’re seeing of him - puffing out his chest - he looked, he looks absolutely distraught,” Mr Myers told Sky News Australia.
“And why wouldn’t he be.”
I’m American. I would just like to say to all the men and women in uniform today did her Majesty proud. I have never seen such a beautiful service, parade and might I just say the guys carrying the casket up the stairs- OMG! Stellar! The uniforms, the horses the bagpipes and the bands phenomenal. She was watching everything from up above with Philip and are VERY pleased!

As an American watching this across the pond. Kudos to the people of England. They have shown what real class is and how to not act like animals. I was amazed at how much patriotism was show by the British people. And nobody in the world can do the pomp and circumstance like the British.

Moreover it is known that this ceremony all together with alternatives was thought and prepared by Queen Elizabeth in 1961 and in the following years was redesigned again by Queen Elizabeth and rehearsed Personally I give the whole credit to Quenn Elizabeth in this extraordinary farewell .She was one of a kind .

The Queens service was beautiful from start to finish. Not a single footstep out of line! In just a few hours, after her passing, her Majestys own plans were put into play. The most powerful moment for me was when the minister began to recite the Lord's Prayer and everyone inside Westminster Abbey joined in. And everyone watching from outdoor screens in London set up in the streets and in the parks.
Everyone in England, Scotland, and Wales, and Northern Ireland watching on their television or their phone or at a local theater or pub or restaurant or meeting hall or gathering place or watch party at someone's home. Everyone in Canada and Australia and New Zealand. Then everyone in the United States. Everyone all across the world reciting the Lord's Prayer. I can't imagine another time in the history of the world when this number of people came together and recited the Lord's Prayer together at the same time. I am amazed at that, and I am in awe at that, and I can't imagine another time short of the second coming of Christ when that might ever happen again. Millions and millions of people reciting the Lord's Prayer. together. Praise be to God.

As an American I was surprised that I felt such a sense of loss when her majesty passed away. She was a remarkable role model for women and her service cannot be matched. I don't think I ever saw such a remarkable send off before. The military were precise and so magnificent. The UK should be so proud. The Queen will be missed. You guys honored her and I am sure she is overjoyed as she looks down. Bless you all.

About the book, I heard (from Neil Shawn), Harry was going to sue for breach of contract if they didn’t publish by November but the publishers wanted to push back till next year out of respect for the jubilee year and subsequent passing of HMTQ.. Harry seems to want to piggy back of his grandmother’s funeral..
When his 15 minutes of any fame he’s granted from publishing the book he will be soon forgotten. He has no talent, is not that smart, his youthful looks are fading fast and he’s about to find out that Megan was only in it for what he could do for her and any fame she could garnish from the connections (ask the prior husband). Soon she too will loose her Duchess title and go back to being a third rate unemployable actress and will only be able to milk any blood related titles that may be bestowed upon her children (which in America carried absolutely no weight at all).

Harry served bravely? From what I read, the other soldiers called him "Bunker Harry" as he spent a good deal of time sitting in a bunker playing video games when there was any real fighting going on. Some accounts said he had up to 4 security people guarding him the whole time he was in Afghanistan.

I was very pleased to see Harry's discomfort, not at the loss of the queen, but at being surrounded by such large numbers of the military whilst no longer being able to wear the uniform or even salute. This I believe would have hit him the hardest. Perhaps now he can comprehend the consequences of his actions, whilst he hides in his mansion, away from the homeless, the violence, and complete breakdown of that once paradise called California!

The funeral procession was a very beautiful thing something you don't see every day but the British seem to always practice for just this moment and they probably knew that in a matter of time they would be saying goodbye to the beloved Queen of England....

I think they have just realized what they have given up. Now he has to grow up without the benefit of a big family unit. Watching the scepter and globe with the removal of the crown tugged at my heart. It was almost too much. Broke my heart. Watching the black figure behind the tall candlestick looked like a demon with hair extensions; I could have done without that vision. But, after all, this was a Christian ceremony. A truly unforgettable day in our history, something we shall never witness again in our lifetime. Watching H.M's coffin descension created too much water for my eyes to hold in. Watching King Charles III's face was also very sad. But, seeing his mother's coffin go down to join her beloved Philip was some comfort. Harry will regret his recent decisions these past few years for the rest of his life. After all, she is so much less than Walla Walla was. But, at least, she had respect and decency for the Crown/Monarchy. I wouldn't have missed this event for all the jewels in Texas. I was up at 4:30 am and watched until the end at 12:30 pm. The longest funeral I've ever witnessed. Just my two-penny thoughts. Ginger from Texas.

I lost it when they showed her horse Emma and then again when I saw her two corgies.
I haven't missed a moment of any of it for 11 days now. It's been really emotional at times and times I'd say "wow, wow" being so moved or amazed at the stories or pageantry of it all. I have to say the idea to use all the memorial flowers laid on the ground leading up to the castle was a special topper. Them moving all those flowers and laying them down pristinely all the way up was a touching sentiment that I'm sure the queen would have absolutely loved.

I'll say this. Family funerals are hard, and this one was a monster (just huge). So long and ceremonially drawn out. Had to be brutal for the family, like rubbing a wound every day.

I am certain that he didn't count on his grandmother's passing this quickly. She has been a constant for such a long time. Even I felt that she was going to be around much longer. My great grandmother was almost 103 years old when she died. The Queen lived a good long life. There were ups and downs just like with any other family. The last years of her life must have been hard for her. Loosing her husband and being dragged through the mud by her own family members. Harry already regrets that he didn't want to talk to his mother before she died. Now he missed the opportunity to say goodbye to his grandmother. He will live with regrets for his entire life. But you reap what you sow. This is such a tragedy.

Deep regret about a situation that has no chance of being corrected due to the death of a loved one is a painful cross to bear. Am I the only one to notice Harry did not sing the National Anthem? My heart sank when I saw that. he looked stonily mulish rather than distraught during the NA. He's not our 'just Harry' any more.
