Every time I look at Princess Charlotte I see Queen Elizabeth in her eyes. She really looks like the queen when she was young, I can't believe the resemblance of this little girl to her family in general, she looks just like her father. I can't imagine how hard it will be to attend to such important things at that age, I'm sure she will be a great princess royal in the future. Hope you guys who are reading this are doing okay. I'm glad that their mother brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte to their great-grandmother's funeral. The whole world saw that children that age COULD actually behave if they have been taught to behave. Young children who behave in public, do so because they have received the proper training and discipline in private and the way these children acted proves that they are receiving the proper training at home. Lovely children and lovely manners and I am ever so glad that they were allowed to attend this historic event.
The children are being groomed. It's not much different then the way a cult grooms their children. They very rarely look happy.
Children are not dogs, they are not designed to be trained. They are human beings who express emotions and when you are a very young child, you don't always have the tools to be able to express those emotions in a way that is comfortable for the older people around you. Whilst it is true that these children have demonstrated a frankly extraordinary capacity to behave like little adults, it is not developmentally appropriate for children of this age to be so perfect, and I for one query what damage has been done to their capacity to feel and express emotions in a healthy way in the pursuit for the perfect public appearance. You seem to be under the impression that this behaviour should be the expected default of young children, and that any child who is less obedient, less compliant, less perfect in public is reflective of their parents' disciplinary failings, which is quite frankly abhorrent - especially when a lot of children who are "disruptive" in public spaces are neurodivergent, and not at all the product of lax parenting.

@@eb663they are 9 and 7, far from the young age you claim they are. for most children, if you can’t understand the seriousness of the funeral of your own great grandmother and behave properly, then the parents should not give birth at all as it is disciplinary failures of the parents. we have already given too much leniency to incapable parents

Princess Charlotte always melts my heart. I remember during the Jubilee when she very discreetly got Prince George back in line for something he was doing. I can't remember what. She is already very much a true princess and absolutely beautiful and adorable 😍

Prince George and Princess Charlotte did very well. They were calm and composed. Their parents have done an excellent job of slowly teaching them how to be in public with confidence.

I agree. And I love that Princess Charlotte wore the horseshoe brooch during this moment. Her grandmother gifted her this beautiful brooch because they both love horses and she wanted to honor her grandmother as she said goodbye to her. I know she cried a little bit, but overall, they both did extremely well. And tears are not a sign of one lacking dignity or respect. To cry for someone means you love them. She's only 7 and this was her grandmother.

I can not believe that it has been a year without that beautiful smile and seeing the Queen with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The world is so lucky to have King Charles III and Queen Camilla along with the Prince and Princess of Wales and their beautiful family. Prince George and Princess Charlotte seem to have a warm relationship. You can’t watch this and not have your heart melt.

7 and 9 is a far cry from 3 and 4. Don't find it at all surprising to see that they know how to behave and understand what's going on. It's only that in the modern world, teaching children such things from an early age is considered wrong somehow.
I'm glad this is a time where the whole thing can be captured from so many angles and broadcast live to millions of people. Sometimes technology and social media make our lives worse, but I don't think this is one of those moments. I'm grateful that we all get to "be there".
The family of Queen Elizabeth have had an opportunity granted to few. She was a legend, taking on such an important duty at such a young age, and doing so with intelligence, grace and compassion. She was loved by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. But she was also loved by the world. My deepest sympathies to all who grieve for her. She was an extraordinary woman.

I’ve always felt sorry for the Duchess of York. She was always compared unfavorably with Diana.. and made a few unfortunate mistakes in her younger years. Yet by all accounts she loved the Queen dearly, raised lovely well mannered daughters , and never said a bad word about the monarchy or the RF.

Yes it would be nice for both of them if she and Andrew remarried . Neither of them is going to be reinstated into royal life. They have both made mistakes, in Andrew's case some heinous ones, but who hasn't? Fergie has never said a bad word about her in-laws nor expected them to finance her after the divorce. They could see out the rest of their lives living privately and devoting themselves to their daughters and grandchildren.

It seems as if most of the world has lost their mother. I am an American, and have had great respect for Queen Elizabeth for so many reasons. In my 73 years, I have never known any other monarch for Great Britain. It even sounds odd to hear Charles being referred to as King, though lord knows he’s waited long enough. He looks quite aged and terribly grief stricken. It has been fascinating to be able to sit in my bed in California and watch this incredible piece of history on my iPad. Queen Elizabeth lived a good, long life. May she Rest In Peace. 💐

Those young pallbearers were amazing .That coffin is English Oak and lined with lead. Incredibly heavy.
I'm glad you mentioned them. I've been saying the same thing. They had to carry the coffin a long way and even manipulated stairs. Their shoes must have been slippery on that granite floor also. They were remarkable!

What a lovely young Lady HRH Princess Charlotte of Wales is growing into. Already she displays all the Elegance, Good manners & thoughtfulness that has marked her Mother, HRH Catherine The Princess of Wales, time within the Royal Family. She remained poised & respectful throughout the whole Service, farewelling Not Just HM The Queen but also her beloved Gan Gan. It's difficult at times to remember that she is 7yrs old, she composes herself so well. The same can be said of HRH Prince George of Wales aged just 9yrs old. They are a testament to the way HRH William The Prince of Wales & The Princess of Wales have raised them & the values & understanding of Duty they have instilled into their Children. I expect once HRH Prince Louis of Wales has aged a bit more, he will also behave just as well as his older siblings. They are a credit to their Parents & the wider Royal Family, in Particular HM King Charles lll & HM Queen Consort Camilla, their Grandfather & Step Grandmother. I'm sure they, along with The Prince & Princess of Wales are very rightfully proud of Prince George & Princess Charlotte today.
