Their A LEGEND Album stands out as one of the best RAB albums ever...Great Live Shows too, missed my (last) train from Amsterdam to Utrecht in those days on account of their great show in Paradiso Amsterdam....

I love Elvis but there are many who say Sakin Stevens is better than Elvis Presley. I say he is just as good as Elvis. Above all, Shaky has fewer scandals than Elvis Presley. Elvis was very hot-tempered and had his moods and sometimes he couldn't do what Shaky wanted normally makes me more likeable. I know that he has given and given a lot. But his short temper and his outbursts of anger and his addiction to pills are well known, as are his many illegitimate clideren whom he confesses

+capothree They played Strathclyde University about 1971. Seem to recall that the sax player was announced as unwell and couldn't play. He'd been drinking, I think, in the Union bar most of the evening. Unwell presumably meant rat-arsed. Stevens very much had his act. I didn't care much for the music, with or without sax. Actually , most of the bands that played the Union..., I thought were rather sh*te.
I remember Thunderclap Newman showed up. Played mostly music that was totally incomprehensible to me.., then half way through it was the great 'Something in The Air' , followed by more incomprehensible stuff.

In 94 the real Sunsets took shakey to court … shakey re-released two albums I’m no JD and rockin and shaking …. They sold 250,000 copies each and he didn’t pay a penny to any of the original recording artists ….
