A lot of metal musicians like to say that they want to stay underground and that they don't want fame. I usually roll my eyes and call bullshit. But this guy is not kidding. They could be towards the top on festival bills and probably make 100 grand per performance easily. Yet he chooses to live in a shitty apartment and just live for the music. That's pretty awesome right there. Even though I'd love to see them live.

VicRules666 Do you realize she makes over a million per show right? 100 grand might be a bit steep for Darkthrone, but nonetheless, they could make a fuckload playing festivals cause so many people would kill to see them live. Solo shows, they wouldn't make that much though, obviously.
100k is not uncommon for a mid-sized band like they would be if they played festivals

I used to meet Fenriz back in 1999 in Elm Street pub when I was an Erasmus student in Oslo, he was a regular customer there, he's a very nice guy. Hellhammer was often there too, and some guy from Dimmu Borgir, but they wer not as friendly as him.

I am 53, raised a family , owned homes, had an amzing job etc...But was Miserable. 8 years ago I gave it all up, found a job that I actually like alot less money but I am no longer stressed and burnt the fuck out. I now have a job I like, I live in a shit hole with a shitbox jeep with my music collection and am very happy.
