I've been a King Diamond fan since Mercyful Fate's "Don't Break the Oath" and been following his career ever since!
I met King about three different times in Detroit back in the late 80s, Abigail and Them era. He was super cool all three times and remembered me the last time.
He's that kind of dude. No "Rock Star" bullshit with him. He genuinely loves his fans.
KD doesn't shut up and doesn't give short answers, that's why I love his interviews.

I went to see King diamond way back in 1988 at the" Living Room" a night club in Providence Rhode Island and i got to meet King diamond and Andy LaRoque I had my camera ready and took shots of the performance and later got to get in a picture with Andy. I also while chatting with King Diamond asked for a photo of him himself and i took the shot, but it came out blank! All other camera pics came out perfect using my Minolta X700

I did that with a cassette my sometime Christian nut case aunt bought me. It was a band called PETRA. "Ahhww, wow. Thanks! A Petra tape." I probably put Suicidal Tendencies over it, if I recall the correct time period. Different bands blew my mind at different ages.

Damn, he’s cool. So laid back. So underrated too. The whole band. KD has the most amazing range of any metal singer I’ve seen except maybe Halford in his prime. Amazing to see him recently still hitting all the notes.
You go to one of his concerts and it’s like a concert/movie/play all combined.
Best part of this interview to me is “did something growl at you? That happens. He was like no, no I’m leaving.” KD is like that happens all the time, I don’t worry about it. Lol. Metal as hell! 🤘🏻 It’s so cool how laid back he is about that. “Yeah heavy breathing and head yanked back a few times..but not worried about it.” Lol He should go on one of those ghost hunter shows and show them how to handle it, lol.

@@robertpreston2220 obviously there's no way that I can prove it. I can say that I am definitely not the only person who has experienced it. One place I lived in on Oakdale Rd in Atlanta had a very active poltergeist that many people I know experienced before and after I moved from there. That place was spooky as hell. I was not ever touched by anything in there. But the noise level was such that I may as well have had a couple more roommates!

@@robertpreston2220 A lot of people wouldn't believe me. And skepticism is healthy in this area. I don't know why some people never experience anything paranormal and others see too much. There's a graveyard I went to with a friend that has a bad reputation of being haunted. People claim to have had hair pulled, scratched up and jewelry snatched (especially if it was religious)but I assumed it was because the place was over grown quite badly. I went out there with my friend Krista expecting nothing to happen as usual. We pulled up to the back entrance and I was grabbed round my throat by a unseen hand. I never even got out of the car. It wasn't real hard but enough to warn me. You're going to laugh but I attempted to negotiate with whatever it was by thinking we were not there to disrespect the place and we were leaving anyways. I told my friend we needed to GTFO of there. I didn't tell her what was happening to me, just said that there were signs across the entrance the police were surveiling the place and not to trespass. I could still talk. Anyways we left and the hand came off my throat. You can damn sure bet I'll never go back there again.

Read the bible and you will see how powerful Jesus is. Man, Jesus/God is the Creator, of course and logically He is way more powerful and can do all the good things you need as long as He notices that the things you need and you want are the best for you. Cause He will never give you what will hurt you nor what will screw you up. Malcom actually DID say this happened that's the reason I kept listening to this interview. Because I remember remember reading about this in an old metal magazine interview. Not sure if it was metal hammer or kerrang, but it was an interview with Malcom and King Diamond's name was brought up and that's where he talked about the apartment...I can't remember the year though, but it was quite some time ago.....

Our powers live in a human shell several times that will enable us to go on to a new life form a higher plane of being or join one day with a larger greater force. But 99 percent of the population live by the Satanic Philosophy whether they know it or not. As Anton LaVey even told me that Satanism is simply a life philosophy and NOT a religion. Satanism is basically Humanism. Satanism is based on logic and things that are proven which is why it could never be a religion as religion is based on things that cannot be proven.

Personally I do not use electrical lighting at home and on my Satanic Altar or in the studio when I record vocals, only black candles as electrical lighting drives away the spirits and I love having them near me. People who see Satanism from the Christian view point are not treating these powers with respect and that is very dangerous. I once actually summoned a spirit in order to prove they are real to a girl who doubted and Satan came. My wife will not look in our mirror in fear something will come out.
In Satanism you are your own God. LaVey felt and I agree that we are all individuals born with different needs and views and so he felt everyone should make up their own mind about what to believe in spiritually if anything at all which is why he left a huge void in the Satanic Bible when it came to spirituality or any kind of religious beliefs and so within the Satanic Philosophy a person can still be a Christian if that fulfills their spiritual needs. Satan also means the Opposite, Inverted, Reversed which is why we wear the Satanic crosses and pentagrams. Satan means the opposite of religion. Satanism is living out your feelings and instincts without feeling it is a sin, enjoy yourself while you are here now while you can and have your own individual beliefs. One thing I consider almost mandatory though is believing there are powers around us. And you can use these powers to help yourself or those you care about. Or throw these powers at people in a negative way. I am not religious at all but you can say I am spiritual due to my experiences and beliefs. The Satanic bible is not really a bible because a bible is for religion so it should be called a book of philosophy instead. Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.
When people see the word ‘Satan’ they see only negative. Satan is not only bad, to me. It represents both sides of everything. I don’t believe in the Christian devil.

I appreciate your novel, it gives insight, I myself knew my house was haunted but the being seemed "meh" keep in mind im Christian and do believe in many entities. oddly it was king diamond whose music gave me physical contact with it, it physically protected me even energizes me within my home (which is a curse too insomnia sucks) through time I have made my "own" faith mostly cause I despise how most Christians are/react when I consider the originator of the faith, through this oddly I find most Satanists more Christian then Christians so I took what I accept from the bible (Hebrew text and words/actions from jesus) also adding in some levey quotes to live by as a reminder to live life and enjoy it.
