    There are so few skills on which I agree with you. I think it depends what you consider when making this tier list.
    My first problem is that you made the decision on a lot of the skills last perk but you can't really get the last perk in so many skills. Which means, for some of the lower priority ones, you will not get there. Which in turn means, that the skill itself goes down even more in value.
    There are also a number of skills that can be handed over to your companions as party roles. Medicine and Engineering are, in my mind, easy picks for this. As you can't really spare precious points on them, if a party member can do the same job just as good. Scouting could also be passed over to a companion. Again, that's if you don't consider the last perk. Medicine give a lot of HP to your troops, which could help you win a ton of battles and Scouting give a very insane party move speed. Considering this I would already move Engineering at bad, Medicine at Okay and Scouting at good.
    Roguery is decent, but it's nothing I would put more than 1 or 2 focus points into. The only type of play where I would consider maxing out Roguery is where I want to recruit bandit troops and my source of income will be loot from battles. No Trading, no Smithing. Because of that Roguery is Okay in my mind.
    For the Melee weapons, I would argues that 2 handed Glaives are better than 2 Handed Swords in most situations. Especially if you plan on being horseback. Because of that I would consider polearms the better of the 3 skills.
    For the Ranged weapons I think Throwing can be higher. Ranking it low because you can't throw to save your life doesn't mean it's bad :). You get a lot of extra ammunition from your perks now and if you get the 250 javelins can penetrate shields perk, it's pretty op. Especially since then you can help your army when needed and not have to run around all fight shooting your bow at enemies.
    Now for Smithing: I would not call it an exploit, since the game just gives you smithing orders for sometimes up to 100k gold. You are just playing the game as is designed at the moment, you are not exploiting any bugs. It would be nice if they balanced out the gold and give less for orders. But, even without the insane amounts of gold, if it was just decent, I want to say why Smithing would still be OP. First of all, the best weapons in the game are crafted ones. So, if you like to have the best and shiniest toys, you kind of need it. Of course, as I said earlier, in late game, when big armies clash, a better melee weapon won't make a big difference, but it's still a nice gameplay experience and in the end, that's why we play. And for the biggest upside of smithing: noble relations. I think it's clear you don't like Smithing and haven't tried it or you would have like this: when you are completing an order for a noble it gives you +relations with him. So if you just go around the towns of a factions for a few times and fill in all the orders, you will pretty much max the relations will all the big clans. It's much better than Charm for boosting relations.
    I completely agree with Leadership being the number 1 skill: The party size, the extra clan limit party limit AND the Ultimate leader for an up to another 80 party size if you completely max out the skill are insane.
    Steward as a skill in a vacuum, I would agree it's number 2 on the list. But, if you look at the skill, almost all the perks are bound to the quartermaster role, not to personal or party leader. Which means that if you have a companion fill the same role you still get all the bonuses, including the once from the 275 skill one. Combine that with the fact that Stewards is on the same attribute with the skill one should normally delegate to companions, I would move it down to Good most likely. This way, your adventurer can stay dumb and you can skip putting any precious attribute points into Intelligence.
    Charm I 90% agree with you. If you play the Smithing Path, you don't really need the relations that much, although if you combine them together, you boost relations almost immediately. The persuasion success perk and the influence gains though make this a very solid skill. Combine that with the fact it's on the Social attribute which would get maxed because of Leadership and you can grow it as well. I am still undecided though if I would stop at level 200 for the -1 persuasion or try to get it higher just for the influence.
    Trade. I do love the 300 perk that allows you to buy settlements. BUT, trade is one of the worst skills to try and max out. Unless you use exploits, it takes so long to get to 300. And it's so boring... By the time you get to the perk without the exploit, you already kind of don't really need it as much as you are in the late late game. I would recommend this skill only to people that prefer going around the world trading instead of fighting, although I am not sure how many of these are playing Bannerlord.
    Wow, this turned into an essay that I think noone will read. :) Oh well.

    Outside of the insane money for smithing you get an extra point in either control or vigor at 150 and either 1 free focus point for one and 2 handed weapons or an endurance stat point combined with the fact athletics is endurance as well with an addition 2 free stat points which free up 4 level up stat points which allows you to put those extra points into social and cunning. I personally think it make an over all better character doing it this way it just requires a little bit of planning.

    Smithing is definitely OP. You can KIND of get away with just putting it in needed given the amount of time and investment you have to sink into it to get to that point, but if you’re serious about it you can be filthy rich incredibly quickly if you focus on smithing. Plus the weapons you smith are much better than anything in game

    It’s all depending what type of warrior commander you will be in game.
    And to get the best AP position for the skill line you need to focus on really what is worthy to get.
    If you going to use companions for med and eng don’t waist points in Stewart and use companion for that to.
    Use poins wisely and get the most out

  • @infinity4738
    @infinity4738 Před rokem

    So you as the characters want to be one of the 4 party roles and as a whole scout is the best. Steward can be given to your brother to max it out at 330 engineer and surgeon both given off to companions. Athletics gives you a lot more health so helps with combat and maxing out ride as well so you're going at both. The problem with trade and smithing is it isn't till really late game that you'll max those out and by that point you should be able to take any settlement you want and should have a lot of money and passive income. Roguery is kinda trash but its nice to level if you have nothing else because the loot bonus is noticeable

    Just something to bare in mind, a decent smithing and athletics give attribute points, which otherwise are hard to get more of. +2 End and a +2 in your choice of control or vigor, especially for a social intelligent build adds a crap ton of levels for little investment. I get the required amounts with a base of 3 end and 5 focus points in each. Yes that's a big chunk of focus, but the payoff is worth it imho

  • @bradb9122

    Glaive alone makes polearm OP, horseback or on foot

  • @samuelrussell5760
    @samuelrussell5760 Před rokem +1

    I think you are overvaluing riding as a skill. It’s true that horses are amazing, but investing a lot into getting very high riding skill is probably just good. Of course you need to at least get to 80 or so so that you can equip tier 6 horses and don’t have penalties while on horseback. But after that, the base bonuses to speed and maneuver are just okay. There are some good perks, but they aren’t OP. The only thing I am not sure of is if the bonus charge damage from the 275 perk is worth it. On the one hand, it’s just a bit of damage to each target. On the other hand, if you are trampling the right targets, it might be a ton of total damage.

    very complicate tier list because it depends on a lot of games styles and if you are in early/mid/late game but smithing is OP. it's the only perks that can break the game. i didn't use it yet because i think it's better to understand how the game works than just sell weapons. i'll definitely try it for my second game. the bad one for me are roguery and engineering. just after it's throwing and crossbows because bows are already very powerful and more versatile. and my favourite is riding but yeah the bonus charge at the end may not worth it. but i don't care, i love be on a horse and charge with the cavalry

    • @PyroShark_
      @PyroShark_ Před 11 měsíci

      You need kind of high charm, also the lord needs to not like their leader or your faction has to be stronger usually. In my last game around 150 Charm skill i recruited 5 lords in a row. Also the perk to make you not critically fail is very good

  • @TetherT
    @TetherT Před 6 měsíci

    Not one of the melee skill are at least needed?? have you played this game? Also throw vs bow you talk about ammo with javelins you don't need a bow taking up a slot. So 2 slots for a bow and quiver vs 2 stacks of javelins its a lot closer then you think. With perks i you have 26+ javelins and with Impale (Javelins now penetrate shields if damage is greater than 30+3x)i one shot EVERYTHING no matter where i hit them and right thought shields....its kinda OP af

    Trade is bad, because smithing is OP and makes literally millions of Gold very fast. Roguery is bad, simply a waste of precious skill points. Scouting should be on a family member or companion not on the main character. 2-Hand is insanely OP. Throwing is good, and becomes OP as soon as you get to 250 to ignore shields with impale. Also you don`t under throw anymore as soon as you get higher throwing speed (and of course you get used to it). I agree on everything else.
