I have a very strong suspicion that either Murray or Steve are dying this season. Murray, because he’s been such an MVP all season that they could be setting him up for a hero’s death, like in some last stand to get Joyce and Hopper out of Russia. Or Steve, because they’re pushing his story line and how much he matters to everyone SO HARD. We’ve had this lovely talk between Eddie and Steve about how much Steve matters to Dustin, Robin’s been all like “You’re my best friend,” and Nancy is considering getting back with him. Not to mention, they seem to be positioning Eddie to step into Steve’s place as Dustin’s big brother figure. Be it Murray or Steve, I don’t want either of these characters to die. 🥺

Will can’t die because he plays a key role and knows Vecna more than anyone. Unfortunately though, I believe Eddie is going to sacrifice himself save Nancy. There were scenes of him playing his guitar in the upside down, I feel it’s to help get Nancy out of the trance. Just to add to it, Eddie 20 years old still in high school and is in the run because the entire town thinks he killed Chrissy. It’s adding up that he won’t make it and it’ll be a very heroic death
Steve isn’t going to die because he’s an absolute fan favorite and the Duffer brothers love the character he developed in. It wouldn’t be a smart move to kill him off since that will make Stranger things lose more than half of their fan base.
I’ve calculated down that 3 deaths that are more than likely to happen is Eddie, Enzo (the Russian that was helping Murray), and Jason( Chrissy boyfriend).
As far as the main cast though? I’m not sure but I know Will, Steve, Dustin, and El are in the clear. Everyone else I can’t speak on
I can't wait to see Lucas fight. I see a whole other side of him that I been wanted to see, since he almost got beat down by Billy.

I didnt want to think Joyce was going to die,but Im starting to think that she is gonna die,Will and Jonathan are hugging each other crying and hopper was looking frustrated at himself and looking like he was about to cry. I hope she dosent because I love her so Much in the show.

I hope Joyce doesn’t die. At first I was pretty confident she wouldn’t, but in both trailers for part 2 you only see her in like one shot, so now I’m getting nervous 😬 although to be fair they rarely show her in any of the trailers so 🤷♀️ I personally think it’d be stupid to kill one of the only 2 main adult characters and putting Hopper and Will through that additional trauma. I know they are already the whipping boys of the show, but come on, give them a break 😩 Joyce and Hopper are the only characters that would make me quit the show if they died. I like all the kids and teens and everything, and even though I’d cry if anything happened to them, ultimately I’d be okay with it and would still watch next season. Jopper needs to live!!

I think Joyce might die for saving Hopper from the demogorgon because she couldn’t save Bob last time. Because if you look closely to the Volume 2 trailer scene, Hopper is about to get eaten by the demogorgon, and he’s looking to the left on where Joyce might be standing. And Will and Jonathan were hugging and crying together which might be about Joyce’s death or him coming out. I just want Joyce, Hopper and Murray to be safe these 2 episodes!!!

Yeah, if I’m correct Joseph actually accidentally confirmed Eddie would be in season 5, so if Dustin is screaming Eddie I’m sure he’ll be fine but comes very close to death.
@@zachsilkwood8674 I feel like it would be either Steve or Eddie since they’re focussing on Dustin’s reaction and I feel as if he has the closest connection to them both. So to symbolise their protective brother/parent/role model relationship Eddie or Steve would die saving Dustin with him watching and there being a big sad scene or something. And since I’m pretty sure Eddie is in s5, I have a bad feeling it’s steve :(

I think Lucas might actually win due to other scenes we've seen of the fight. I also feel like Jason is gonna get taken by Vecna here due to the loss of Chrissy,Patrick,his desire to now find Lucas, and his desire to find Eddie. I believe he will die here

Ok the only reason why I don’t think Joyce will die is because Winona Ryder aka Joyce is such a major actress I don’t think they would eliminate her from the show but i could be wrong. I think at this point anyone could die except hopper. It’s kinda a toss up yk. Also people saying they think Dustin is crying for Steve in this trailer, i think they are wrong because in that clip Dustin is wearing the same outfit he was wearing when he and Eddie were standing back to back. This makes me think Dustin is crying for Eddie

@@chloethechonk in the entire run of the show not a single important (non-villain) character has died, they’ve all been ridiculously plot armored. i really don’t think they should’ve had hopper miraculously survive, it would have made more narrative sense for him to have actually died. the thing with brenner’s fake-out death was kind of annoying too. if no one dies this season either, despite things reportedly being darker and higher stakes than ever, it will honestly be ridiculous. good and compelling character death is harder to write than to just have all your mcs be invincible and stupidly lucky, so keeping everyone alive is starting to look like a cop-out from the writers.

My will paintings theory:
He is painting a picture of when him and mike first met when he was on the swing, or he is painting a picture where one side of the picture is victor creels house but it's like in the place where Vecna was with max at from seeing it in a dream or memories or something and the other side of the picture is normal victor creels house (I think this because in the real word the sky would be blue and the grass would be green and he was using those colours for the same thing I think and he was also painting red somewhere so that could be where the vecna place is). The first one is probably more likely to be real tho.

i think that murray is gonna go in volume two. i also think nancy, but she probably will be saved by eddie or something from vecna. also i can see joyce dying, i hope that she wont, but i wouldn't be surprised, but she is taking care of many kids. i think hopper is safe, probably more trauma for his bag honestly, they just love making his life a nightmare haha. Man time has gone fast since Vol 1, Vol 2 must announce the Mind Flayer.
This makes me believe that the volume 2 would be Will Byers dreaming about what would happen and most of them will die. Then on season 5, Will's going wake up and explain what he saw in that dream through the painting he's keeping. Maybe it's the answer on how to kill/stop Vecna.
I can feel that Argyle, Dimitri, Joyce, Murray, Mike, & Eddie will die this season.

I am super excited after watching this trailer. And to think I was already going nuts! I've been a fan of Wynonna Ryder (Joyce) for a long time now. I hope she sticks around for season 5. I hope her and Hopper get together. I wonder who will not return? Maybe Robin or the guy they show on the basketball team fighting with Lukas. Keep Joyce, Hopper, El, Mike, Will, Johnathan, Dustin, Steve, Nancy, Lukas, and Max. If any of them get killed off the show would not be the same. (I wouldn't mind them keeping Erica as well)

I thought I would stop watching when season 4 came because of Joyces family leaving and the rest of the bunch staying in Hawkins. I like Robin and was stunned because I thought she would end up with Steve.

I don't know if Nancy and Jonathan could reunite because of the direction of his life he chose. Not to mention he started doing pot. That may be the deal breaker for her. theory : Im 70% sure that max is going to die on the 2 vol. or she goes in a coma after a brutal injury in the head from vecna (and survives but without her memories) only because i want lucas to read the letters that she wrote without her beeing dead of course and she will get her memories back in the 5th season with the help of lucas.
