*BEST FARMING METHOD TO EXIST* This could be a lot better if you didn’t make it seem as if you needed high powered weaponry along with three or even two controllers. The best farming method is what I will tell you right now. This works afk and non-afk. Any mission, literally any mission at all, with the spawning ships, that supplies you with at least 5-10 allies, and a vehicle with a good amount of HP. Reason for this is because, if you have allies and it’s on easy mode, they will do all the work for you. For the sake of good examples, mission 40 on solo, (39 if online), on easy mode, and sitting in a powerful vehicle, in range of the ships that drop items (any ship), if you pick up the fencer units hiding near the third spawn ship towards the end of the level (there’s two packs of them), all you have to after that is sit under any of the spawning ships, and the fencers and rangers will kill all of them for you. The reason you want a vehicle is because the dead bodies of the ants and move your character and thus take you out of the pickup range. But a strong vehicle like a tank won’t be moved so easily. And don’t worry about the damages because the fencers and rangers annihilate them extremely fast. Thank me later.
Hey man, I'm loving your videos, I just got the game on PC over the weekend. I tried afk farming on level 35 I think, the beach level. But when I came back, it said that the session had ended and booted me out without me able to get my loot. For reference, I was playing air raider online (password lobby), in a mech and had the fencers killing enemies from the drop ship. My questions are, do I have to have button inputs in an online match to keep the session from ending? Am I better off just playing offline for this? Do I have to replay all the missions in offline mode? As I only have the training unlocked in offline but I'm somewhere in the level 60s in online. Thanks for making such quality content dude, and I appreciate if you have any input.
Online will kick you after 10 or 15 minutes of afk offline will not. Unfortunately offline progress is separate but you have no weapon limits offline so can plow through it on easy
@@KevinEDF Yeah...I got to 35 pretty quick yesterday and tried again but I think the wing divers killed the drop ship. I woke up to find the mission complete and only 150~ armor gained. I'll try your suggested level 40 and see how that goes. Thank you!
I found a way to farm all 3 ships at once solo and you line yourself with the first two ships and shoot across as they drop and 3rd ship the fencers take out the rest
Are there armor limits in difficulties? Like do you get a fraction less on an easier difficulty even if you get the same amount of armor crates on any difficulty? Cause I figured that's how it worked this whole time
Iron rain feels more like insect Armageddon but the developers said they were unhappy with the small maps of IA so it should feel larger like the main line EDF games. The classes play very different and the game feels more dark and gritty in tone. I personally am not watching the live streams of the game so I won't be too spoiled. But if you like EDF then it seems like a fresh new take and could be some fun.
Dude,,The Only mission I’ve yet to inferno solo with ranger is The mission with the hoard of ERGANUS. Yeah you get that custom Barda. But by that time all my homies are dead and so are the other tanks and bardas. The pest bees and tadpoles wipe em out. -unless I bring a middle launcher I can’t kill em quick enough. So the erganus for sure end up killing my Barda and even though I have 8000 Heath and heals available= I can’t even move as they spam the lava balls they throw. -maybe if I had the run fast special. -Oh Yeah I forgot I didn’t inferno the last few missions on DLC2 yet either. The one with the multiple bee hives= I can’t even beat on hardest. Time will tell

At 16:25 you asked if you're crazy about changing spawn position. No you're not, they change according to your difficulty level. At difficult "hard" the spiders spawn on the right side and the Fencer come from the left (according to the direction you're facing at the start of the mission) but at "hardest" the spiders instead spawn on the left side and the Fencer will come in from the right instead. Also increasing the difficulty also may add in new/additional enemies at certain phases. For example the cave mission where you first find an Ant Queen will have green ants swarming you 3 times on Hardest difficulty although green ants don't show up until much later on Hard difficulty.
For level 40; How long can you go afk at a time? I noticed that after 2 hours solo play, I only got about 47 armor for WD(so 178 boxes). I'm assuming this is from the box limit the the developers have mentioned.
There is a limit of how many can be on the ground at one time but if you take a collection ring with ranger or a vehicle it shouldn't matter for offline mode. However if you can get dlc 2 it is a lot faster. 400 in 10 minutes.
@@jeremy6604 it only works afk if you have about 8k health but if you dont, 10 minutes isn't bad to babysit for that much armor. I have the video under my farm playlist
You get armor for every class now when you play, so if your playing ranger, if you get 100 for ranger you get 25ish for the other 3 classes. If you play split screen and you take ranger and wing diver then you will receive 100 for ranger and 100 for wing diver and 25 for the other 2. So you get a little more with split screen.

Just keep the 2 groups of fencers and the ranger group alive and take down all but one spawner then have a titan sit next to it under it while using a rubberband to keep the turrent spinning or turn off the auto shut off on your console. The fencers and rangers will kill the ants and all you have to do is sit in the titan.
If you go watch your challenge run about this mission whit the air raider you will see that the spider come in two wave the first from the left and then the second from the right, but if i saw correctly they come when the queen come out, and also at one point you grab the two fencer squad on the right side from were you start, i don't know if those squad come out when the ranger squad die, beacuse if you go to the left side near the ship two squad of fencer come out so i don't know if are the same squad that appear in two different place or are different squad, but i don't think so beacuse four squad of fencer i think it will be to much, to take out doubt you have to see when you play the mission.

They give the same armor but offline is easier because you can turn off weapon and armor limits without needing to have 70% game completion so you can use inferno weapons on easy. Also offline the enemies have less health and damage
Yes just more difficult, if your just focusing on armor it is probably best to play in a low difficulty so there is no threat to die accidently and lose the armor gain.

I more prefer the phalanx over rapier, sometimes the accuracy is super helpful especially for colonists or frogs when you can’t use your cannons
What you can tell me about iron rain? The only Edf games I played are 2017, insect armageddon, 4.1 and currently 5.

How did you get for all 4 classes that much armor? Did you just collect armors in mission 99? Do I get more armor when i play on inferno than on hard?
Dlc helps speed up the process. There are missions with a lot of silver spiders which give 2 to 3 items each. I also have 1500 hours in the game.

You must go to the Japan store again and find the DLC, and click on the download button

So I used this technique and 4 hours later looked back and the mission was complete but I only attained 16 boxes. Thoughts on this anyone ?
