I'm a professional this is only for education purposes DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO ANYTHING ON THIS VIDEO!! this was filmed using a Gen 5 but it goes for any generation
I had the same drag and reset problem with a friend’s Glock that I was refining. Drove me nuts until I sanded some material off the cuffs. Amazing what small corrections can accomplish.
If you feel a click in the take-up it's your plunger spring. Take it out and twist the spring 90 degrees and reinstall the plunger and striker. Test by pushing down the plunger until the click is gone.
Johnny turns these Glocks into Instruments of Precision. He is building my trigger for a gen 4 19, soon to be ready. Cant' wait. Phenomenal work, big brother!
Great videos. Some comments saying you should charge for your videos surprises me. If anything Glock should pay you a consultant fee. You have kept the Glock crowed(IMO) Rocking the Glock’s. Thank you for your dedication to the brand.
Thank you Johnny! I heard my trigger squeaking on the "pull", and it was harder than usual. This fixed it. I just re-positioned the spring, and had a line in the striker lug face (not sure of the spelling; Stock Glock - Subcribed!
Allot of people have been talking about how good the glock 19x, factory trigger is, it is directly related the marine spring cups and have less kinetic coefficient. Imo.
Stephen Miller I do understand where you're going with this. It's almost the same argument I have against locktime and lightend Strikers. Mathematically it works out but how does it translate to the shooter. So you are right but here's the catch those Marine cups are going to s*** the bed way quicker than the standard cups and the margin for dysfunction, meaning that the end coil will slip off of the collar due to the reduce surface area, is definitely greater.
I love how to like to use these big words like Demarcation. The action of fixing the boundary or limits of something. "the demarcation of the maritime border" Similar: separation distinction differentiation division delimitation marking off definition a dividing line. plural noun: demarcations "a horizontal band that produces a distinct demarcation two inches from the top" Love ya Sir. One day when I get back to work, I'll buy a real Johnny Glocks Trigger. I wish you would make.a video of exactly how and where you install the 2 set screws on your triggers. The one the finger rest, and then one at the connector block (not sure of then correct/names)
Hey Johnny! I have a problem with my G19 gen 5 trigger that you might be able to help me with. Before the wall i can feel like a prewall that is softer than the actual wall. After about 200 rounds it started doing a clicking sound. I did a polish job on it and the clicking is gone but the prewall is still there. It looks like when i pull the trigger, the bar goes 1mm too the left (i can see it from the magwell. It doesn't hit the plunger on the middle but on the left) and it rubs on the slide release, also the slide release is getting pushed out a tiny bit(i can see on the outside of the frame). I tried everything i know but nothing seems to help and it's driving me crazy. Thanks!
Actually it's quite the opposite the trigger spring being weak will allow the striker spring more tension thereby pulling the trigger bar forward quicker
Just a question about the cups on the striker. If you put one marine cup and one standard, do you have to worry about those parts rotating over time or do they stay put in the position where you originally line them up?
Hey Johnny! I'm having a minor issue with my stock 19x trigger and can't seem to diagnose it. There is a little bit of a 'click' or notch in the take up, right as it starts to engage the wall. It doesn't seem to be any burr or anything on the connector ramp or trigger bar radius. Doing it slowly almost seems to be further forward, around where the trigger bar and slide stop touch, though I can't find any rough spots there, either. It kinda feels like a plastic 'click' that the trigger bar pops over or something... Just can't seem to nail it down. It am feels good and smooth when I take it apart. I'm not unfamiliar with the guns, having done glock armorer work for nearly a decade... But I'm no smith. Wondering if there's anything you can think of to take a look at. Thanks man.
It's the 45 degree of ramp of one of the drop safety ledges in the trigger housing at the very top where to drop safety ends and the angle starts. Look there
Mean Gene I'm shooting a DVD of all the stuff I do these videos on but professional done and with a lot more detail. What would you pay Gean my brother?
Mean Gene you may assume you have all my videos. I'm taking about above and beyond these you tube videos. With breakdown instructions on the angles I'm using, the weight of my hand on grinders, and even details like the direction of the grinder spin.
I don’t own a glock but principles are carryover regardless..great info….my ppq after 5000 rds I thought was smooth but polished internally way you showed a voila. Or voise? Anyway smooth as apex I have in my other Walther.
Can anyone tell me about this maritime cups stuff? I installed those turbo ones but I dont know anything past the "reliability, underwatter" promotion.
Po Isbell once the cups get to that level you want to absolutely replace them that's no place that you want to take chances. Anything to do with that gun firing you make damn sure it's replaced not repaired.

Obed DeJesus no real advantage in fact more of a chance for the firing channel to be compromised. Unless you're in the Coast Guard's or some other agency that's always in the water I would suggest getting rid of those.
JOHNNY GLOCKS the persona thanks for the reply, I spend a loot of time near the beach, lakes and rivers of PR so it pushed me towards it but I notices you half them. Do you recomend that or should I just get rid of them completely?
Great information, and after talking to the man, I replaced the channel liner with the white Lonewolf and now my trigger feels decent again
I was just thinking about how I could relive drag from the channel liner today. Thanks for the tips:)
Bryan Wilmot that's one of the main offenders for drag and just making the trigger feel generally crappy.

You're gonna love it! Nothing else comes close. Check out Johnny's vid on how he improved the Overwatch trigger.
I bet. Thanks.
I put a 4lb fireing pine spring on a misfire so I put the factory spring back on to get the gun working I have a gen 5 19

No doubt he should definitely charge his videos are unreal full off years of knowledge and tweaking these guns to get them running the best they can

A weak trigger spring could also cause the trigger safety not to reset

@@johnnyglocks yeah my bad. I just had to change one yesterday. Same shit

Kano Daily - The Philippines and More they should stay put just make sure the end of the Spring coil is on the non marine one
Where do you get different cups?
Awesome info and video. Thank you!
Can someone message me the contact info for the guy in Orange Park FL who does stippling work thanks!

Hey, Johnny, do you have upper parts for a gen 5 19?
Is this the same trigger in the 19x
The spring cups don't move, only the spring
That is incorrect
