- Upcycle a t-shirt into a cute little shorts jumpsuit perfect for summer! This was a plain black t-shirt that I reverse tie-dyed with bleach. It was pretty oversized, so I wanted to see if I could refashion it into a jumpsuit. This is definitely going to get a lot of wear this summer!

I used to love tie dye and batik projects. The longer version is just me. With the lace jacket...talk about elevation!
Oh, and that felled seam top is still one of my faves. A vest/waistcoat like that would be so cool.

YES! When I first saw the tie dye T I said whoa!! I'd love to have a brownish material like that for a headwrap and top project then you mentioned bleaching on black yes ! Of cause remembering a laundry accident Thanx for the tip 🔝😊

Nope - always do your fitting right side out. If you flip it, you'll be fitting the left side of the garment to the right side of your body, and most of us are not perfectly symmetrical on both sides. What you did is what a tailor/seamstress would do. You are absolutely radiant!

hi its great. I think a great way to have this for plus size is perhaps to use two of the same or similar t shirts for extra width. I want everything to be a jumpsuit now. Can you show us how to do a low back on clothes too.?

The tie dye kind of make me think of a snake print in a way. Really like the graphic turn out. I got a bit confused when it came to the leg part but that ok. That jumpsuit came out so cute! I'm also quite happy that this video had a fix for a DIY problem I've been trying to solve: a tank top with straps that are way too long for me. The double-fold hem will be really good for stopping fraying, but how did you tie the straps so that they stayed in place? Alternatively, how would you join the ends of the straps with handsewing?
Thank you!! 😊 I just double tied the straps in a knot. To close them up, you could at a straight stitch where I had added the pins to make it fit and then just cut the excess.

OK so I just started my jumpsuit transformation and I am stuck! I bought a super cute dress to use (couldn't find a tshirt long enough!), but it has a zipper on the front neckline. Can I still do this without taking the zipper out??
You would have to take the zipper out and cut the curved part and then put it back in. I hope that makes sense.
