- So a few of my friends wanted me to open one of my 1990 Hoops Basketball boxes on the channel. There are a lot of cool cards you can pull from one of these boxes such as Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Scottie Pippen and several other hall of famers. In addition to the HOF's.... there are Rookie Cards and a special Sam Vincent and Mark Jackson card to look out for. The Sam Vincent card features Michael Jordan wearing a #12 Jersey a rare sight. The Mark Jackson card features the Menendez brothers sitting courtside in the background. These two card are worth a lot of money in a PSA 10. Watch the video and see what we pull...!
I just looked through my old cards. 5 Jordan’s, 2 Mark Jackson’s, 2 Sam Vincent’s. Noice!
Love the retro rip! A couple nice HOFers in there!
sam vincent! mark jackson! love finding these unicorn cards, thanks for posting
Mark Jackson "a random player" ha. He was definitely a critical part of those successful 1990s Pacer teams with Reggie Miller and Rik Smits.
Yea that Jackson graded 10 sells between 500-600.
My first set of collecting cards. Heck, I even mailed the Spurs a card that David Robinson signed.
You passed up Ralph Sampson too, he is in the Hall of Fame!
I hope to see you do more box openings
David Robinson’s rookie card is from 89-90 hoops
He threw Adrian Dantley in the scrub pile too
I really like those cards from the late 80s to early 90s. However, I particularly enjoy the cards from that period because they mostly featured action shots of NBA, NHL, NFL, or NASCAR players or drivers, unlike today's cards. For NASCAR, especially, the majority of current cards, like Donruss cards, are self-portraits where you only see the driver. These cards are completely dull, empty, lacking any energy in my opinion compared to the cards from back then. (Regarding NASCAR, I bought a jumbo box of 2023 Donruss and was completely disappointed. In the end, I'm even selling it at a heavily discounted price, just to give you an idea. But I won't leave a link here; that's not the purpose. In general, I only buy cards from the period between 1990 and 1998. Beyond that, I've stopped.)
I have both serious one and two 1990 1991 set complete
Plus there is a really low pop on the Jackson and psa 10. Like under 30 at 10 compared to 250 at 9
david robinson rookie is 89 hoops
That Mitch Richmond card might be worth something being that he is in the Hall of Fame.
Alex English is a Hall of Famer but you put him in the scrub pile
Adrian Dantley is a Hall of Famer too but you put him in the scrub pile!
Went to my basement went through all my cards and I found by Mark Jackson I knew I had that card very important to keep everything
What card numbers comprise series 1? And what card numbers comprise series 2?
The way they Packaged these in 1990 were insane I opened a box of these last year and did NOT pull ANY base Jordan's at all and also NO Mark Jackson and NO Sam Vincent but I did pull 4 Michael Jordan all star cards (at least 2 of them will grade mint 9 or better.. maybe even 3 of the 4, so thats cool). I only paid around 40 or 50 bucks for the box so that's also a plus. Also no Larry Bird base either but I did pull a Bird All Star or two... Also no Kemp RC, Pretty wild and they didn't seem tampered with or searched etc.. I mean anything is possible but they appeared properly sealed. But fun break for sure
