Chinese is not that difficult to learn as many people imagine. Chinese primary school pupils can easily learn 3000 characters, which cover 99 percent of Chinese characters in newspapers and books. I’ve spent lots of time in making many videos teaching Chinese in a humorous way. I hope somebody can give me some advice about how I can reach my target audience who want to learn Chinese.
In English, we can say "I like to eat Chinese food" or "I like Chinese food" (without "to eat"). But it seems that in Chinese, we need to include 吃 ("eat"). So we probably should not say 我喜欢中国菜 (without the 吃).

I have a doubt... Last class I’ve had my teacher said that 菜 means only vegetables. The frase was 我要吃中国...。I said 菜 and she corrected me saying 饭. 🤷🏻♂️

One of 菜‘s meanings is vegetable, but, (in the same way that 饭 which means 'rice' came to mean 'food' in general) , 菜，originally 'vegetable' came to mean 'dish' in general. For example, 'menu' in Chinese is 菜 单 (dan). To order a meal (or dish) in a restaurant is: 点 菜 Not being a native speaker, I don't know when it's better to say 中国饭，or 中国菜.

All language classes should be done this way. Took 20 hours of Spanish classes, with endless books and studying. Didn’t teach me hardly anything.
