    Hi Laoshi, nice lesson - but you spoke the words much too quickly to learn them - not even time to write them down making notes. I think it would help more if you could say them slowly twice and again twice at a normal speaking pace. And mention where there are any stresses. Or maybe this lesson is for the more advanced learners of Chinese!

    I would prefer you say the english word first. Than my brain is ready to receive the mandarin word. I do sort like: "Oh I got to learn this word". To me the word Salt is more important than Eggplant. Just because I'm a newbie.

    sing the Chinese word once and then putting it into a sentence is really not helpful since the Chinese word is already new and Chinese pronunciation must be repeated many times the sentence is not helpful I don't think this is the way to teach Chinese
