    DESCRIPTION
    Welcome to HowFixit! In this video, I'll take you through a step-by-step guide on how to disassemble HP EliteBook 8440p laptop, clean its fans, and replace the thermal paste. Our comprehensive tutorial will equip you with the knowledge of fixing laptop overheating issues. From disassembling your laptop to cleaning the fan and heatsink from dust and applying thermal paste, we've got you covered. Say goodbye to overheating and hello to improved performance!
    * Laptop Disassembly Guide:
    Disassembling your laptop may seem daunting, but I'll break it down into easy-to-follow steps. You'll learn how to remove the laptop's casing, locate and clean the heatsink and fans, and access to CPU for thermal paste replacement. By following this guide, you'll gain a deeper understanding of your laptop's internals and how to keep it running smoothly.
    * Fan Cleaning Techniques:
    Dust and debris can accumulate in your laptop's fans and heatsink over time, leading to reduced airflow and increased temperatures. I'll show you effective methods to clean your laptop using an antistatic brush and proper handling techniques. By keeping your cooling system clean, you'll prevent overheating and extend the lifespan of your laptop.
    * Thermal Paste Replacement:
    Thermal paste plays a crucial role in transferring heat from the laptop's CPU and GPU to the heatsink. However, over time, a thermal paste can dry out and lose its effectiveness. I'll guide you through the process of removing the old thermal paste and applying a fresh, high-quality one. This step is vital for optimal heat dissipation and temperature management. Don't let an overheating laptop slow you down! Watch this comprehensive guide and take control of your laptop's temperature. By performing regular fan cleaning and thermal paste replacement, you'll ensure smooth operation, prevent hardware damage, and extend the life of your laptop. Hit the play button now and let's get started!

    Tengo el modelo indicado. Para desmontar las luces se requiere sacar 2 tornillos que están detrás. Revisar si es necesario sacar los 3 tornillos que están debajo de la batería. El ventilador no esta atornillado a la rejilla de enfriamiento. Después de la limpieza y antes de colocar teclado verificar que el ventilador enciende. Si no, revisar la conexión del ventilador.

    Если да , то чтобы снять клавиатуру нужно что нибудь откручивать или достаточно поддеть ?
    Заранее спасибо.

    For those of you thinking this isn't worth it or its a bad tutorial think again because the HP EliteBook 8440p has some serious design issues the heat doesn't disperse that well and it's easy for the system to get heat up again very quickly and the fan and the heat sink are really on the edge there like woah careful there bud since they put them in a very tight area it's quite hard for it to not get clogged up so you would have to repeat this process over the span of how long you own this laptop and HP has had many design issues before this ain't the first one my friend but they really screwed this one up bad just stop complaining and do this process over and over again or just get a better laptop or get a PC then again a small tip don't buy HP it's just not worth it

      Hello fellow HP Elitebook 8440p User heres some tips if you have to do this again ( witch you very much will ) first be very gentle with the thing that comes off of the cpu and make sure nothing gets on the thermal paste ( the stuff on the CPU ) and replace it if you can second tip is if your still using an Intel i5 for the CPU you can upgrade to a intel i7 620m ( make sure if you buy it theres no metal plate on the top covering the components since the one with the plate is meant for desktop PCs not for laptop PCs )
