- This family heirloom was restored in 2006 and then completely wrecked in the spring of 2007 by an EF5 tornado. Ya' know, a big boy!
Come along and we'll take a look at the cute little thing and then see if it will run once again.

The term “small town frosting” actually sounds delicious and nostalgic.
Real nice save getting it going again and cleaning the underside of the hood and fuel tank!
Hi Jayhawker Lakeside is huge and hopefully will have some parts for your tractor. Wisconsin is full of tractor junk yards. Great project. Excited to see your restoration on this!
looks like an interesting project you got there my friend !
Here in Michigan I've seen these at antique tractor shows for years! As far as parts go, I'd try a company called steiner, I've seen their ads on CZcams about antique tractor restoration parts! I personally have never heard of them, other than tractors! When I was kid there an old guy not far from where I live now who had real old silver king that was pulling a 5 bottom plow, like 5 -12's! It had a the square hood and rad, wrap over full fenders! It's been 50 years ago, I think it had steel wheels!
I have a model 42 myself. It's one of my favorites in the collection. Good luck with your restoration!
If you have, or know of anyone who has parts; hood, fenders, anything you see that I need please email me! ratzlaffmotorco@gmail.com. And thanks!
Good video, Jayhawker! Good luck on getting your parts! I haven't seen too many of these tractors.
Go Mizzou Tigers!
WTG! 👌🏻👏🏻
Cool tractor
Well, now I can't say there's no such thing as a Silver King tractor. Ya know, if I didn't know better, I'd say that it looks like a truck just rolled over that bad boy. Looking forward to seeing your progress on this thing. By the way, put that drunken sailor in the long boat til he's sober, would ya? So long, take care.
Probably your only slim chance in Kansas is Abilene Machine. They have buyers all over the USA
I’ve never seen one of those tractors in my part of the country. We’re mainly Farmall/International, JD, and Case as far as older ones go. Hamilton Bob’s in Hamilton Ohio mainly deals with Farmall Cubs (what mine is), but being in the midwest they might have a line on something. I’ve bought several items from them for my Cub. Great video and it sounds awesome! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it!
My favorite tractor story my father-in-law told me was how him and his dad farmed ih f-12's ! It seems a neighbor owed a favor so he told them to borrow his cockshutt tractor! It was hooked to a 5 bottom plow ,my in-law said he plowed in a 1/2 a day than 3days with the f-12-s! He came up at noon ate lunch went back out started filling the tractor! His dad saw him and asked what he was doing, he told him ,he reportedly told him 'you take it back and tell 'em thanks but no thanks! My father-in-law was pretty disappointed!!
