  • It's time that we finish up underneath the Corvair.
We need to seal up the sheet metal, reinstall the gas tank and then we can put the sway bar back in.
    Let's go!

The old girl is shaping up nicely! I've added Sprayway to my emergency kit with zip ties, duct tape and WD-40...it's just the best stuff! Thanks for bringing us along, until next time...God bless my friend!

After having done the same type of work on my 48 Chevy, it’s amazing how similar the work goes. Yes I have those magnets running out my ears too! Once you finally get to driving it, then it’ll be a lot more fun hopefully. You’re doing great! I hope you can enjoy it soon!

stuff with surface rust I have found having it sit in a bucket of gallon of super clean then water and hit it with WD-40 till it's ready to work on works good for smaller parts. Larger parts just use a spray bottle for the super clean and water. you don't even need to wait till the water is dry. WD-40 displaces the water

Looking good so far :) Having done a lot of this myself on a '61 and a '65 I know how much work it is on a 'Vair. Gratz on getting the tank and bar done.
