What’s up my piano friends!! Today we’re going to cover the best piano practice routine for beginners in 2023.
15 minutes a day. 4 weeks. And it’ll take a complete beginner to someone who sounds Pro.
There’s 3 exercises in the video, each builds on each other, working on different piano techniques within chords (which are the backbone of songs).
First we’re gonna master the 4 Power Chords (these are used in literally hundreds of songs).
Then we’ll cover using Rhythm Patterns to take them from just ok to sounding awesome, catchy, and fun.
And the third exercise uses Arpeggio patterns if you want that really beautiful, emotional sound out of the keyboard.
And by the end you’ll be playing your favorite songs from the radio with out a piano book, sheet music or a piano app of any kind (you’ll see what I mean in the video…)
All of them are pretty easy to learn if you put your mind to it.
    Here’s what we’ll cover:
    00:00 Intro
    00:29 Exercise 1: The 4 Power Chords
03:05 Exercise 2: Power Rhythm Patterns
07:32 Exercise 3: Arpeggio Patterns (for the Emotional Sound)
10:45 Let’s Learn Some Actual Songs!!
This routine will develop good piano practice habits, and the exercises will also help you develop hand independence. And there are some variations to progress from beginner to intermediate to advanced..

I will tell you that i learned how to play in about 1 week just from one of his videos. I may not have been great, but I figured out everything I needed, from scratch. Have now played for 15 months and no one can tell. I taught my 8 year old and my 4 year old from just what I knew from the single video I seen of his. They have both been playing now for 14 months (8 yr old) and 10 months (4 year old). We all learned all chords, and can play all inversions fluently. This guy saved me from throwing away a keyboard that was collecting dust for 3 years, just because I didn't understand what to do. With him it was like going from zero-100 instantly. Now I come see his style videos. I have links to my daughter's timed progress so I can show them how well we all have gotten.

Salam terbaik.

To “play the piano” means more than is ever alluded to in most CZcams videos. It means being able to read music. It means knowing the different ways that a chord can be played, including first and second inversions for triads. It means understanding chord progressions and scales for both major and minor. It means finger and hand independence. In other words…..it means much more than being able to sit down and play a song you heard on the radio. That’s all well and good and it’s lots of fun….and hopefully being able to do that sparks your interest in learning the instrument, but being able to play a song does not mean you can “play the piano.” Speaking for myself, I’ve been working on this instrument for three years, and I figure it’s going to be at least another five or six years of additional work before I could look someone in the face and say, “I can play the piano.”

    • @arthouston7361
      @arthouston7361 Před rokem +2

@@SheetFiber That's true..... but I believe that some of the more "click bait" titles used on CZcams mislead unknowing individuals to believe that there is some sort of a 3 or 4 week shortcut from going from no knowledge to being able to "play the piano." That is not meant as any disrespect to this channel or the creator of this channel. It's a general observation for people who may have no idea whatsoever about what is needed to become proficient.

@@becomeapianosuperhuman6765 the part that gets me a little confused is the Exercise 3 Arpeggio. The reason why is because the piano I have, I think it’s called Casio CTK 573. The way how you hold the G on your left, for some reason mine doesn’t sound the same as I also hit the right side of the keyboards, G , C, and E. I don’t like how mine sounds. When I hold the G, the sound changes, it sounds very light, it’s like I have to hit the G and hold it again. Hard to explain. So here’s a question I have seen covered much: when you’re playing C-major and G-major, you’re using your thumb, pointer, and ring finger and alternating between them. Does it matter if instead a person were to play C-major with their thumb, middle, and pinkie and then when switching to G-major, play it with their thumb, pointer and ring finger? I mean obviously we can play the keys however we want, but should I be paying attention to which fingers I’m using or develop my own style? I’ve been just freelancing it, and that just occurred to me.

I've been watching a lot of your videos, and they've been great, but this is the first time I've been confused. These shapes for the C and F chords are different than how I've seen you do them up to now, because you're shifting the octave of the G and F, respectively. I understand that it's still the same chord, but I'm not understanding the "why" behind deciding for instance when to play a C major as GCE instead of CEG. Is this the same as just deciding to move from octave to octave just because it sounds better, or is there more to it than that?

So that's called a chord "Inversion". So basically, a C Major chord is the notes C E G on the keyboard. But you can put those notes in any order, and it's still considered a C chord. So C E G and E G C and G E C are all C Major chords, theyre just in different inversions. We use different inversions so we don't have to move our hand all over the keyboard, we can keep it nice and close. Hope that makes sense!

Root chords start on the chord name. For 3-note chords, there are two more ways to play the chord, called inversions. They are used for ease of playing and a smoother transition. Prove this to yourself: play the progression (c-g-amin-f) using the root chords. Now play the progression using these inversions. Big difference. Same chords, just built in a different order.

Please slow your voice tone down for us beginners to rid our panic fear of taking it all in. We are not slow we just need time to enjoy learning.
