He refuses to give bad reviews and is very lenient on most movies trying to find something positive to say because he knows he wants to break into the industry therefore he can’t talk bad about any movies for the sake of his future. He kinda “sold his soul” in a way but I’m not one of those who cares too much because I understand his dream and he has to do what he has to do to achieve it, I’m not gonna knock it. I would’ve just stopped making reviews at that point because he can’t be true to the film but he’s probably got bills to pay and needs some sort of revenue hence why he still makes videos. I don’t really watch his reviews anymore for this reason, but I always check in on Shelby Oaks stuff and I’m excited for him.

I've been working on making my own movies for a long time now and just recently I signed a contract for 2 movie scripts with a big producer down in México. This is massive, man! Seeing Longlegs last weekend, there were two, great Neon previews in a row, then Neon's logo started Longlegs, and I thought 'Man, they're on a roll lately.' Unbelievable. So glad to see Shelby Oaks get this support.
Where are all those people complaining about his reviews, his decisions he made? This is what it takes to achieve something of this magnitude.

@3l3f4nt3he got criticized because of how he reviews movies. He refuses to give bad reviews and is very lenient on most movies trying to find something positive to say because he knows he wants to break into the industry therefore he can’t talk bad about any movies for the sake of his future. He kinda “sold his soul” in a way but I’m not one of those who cares too much because I understand his dream and he has to do what he has to do to achieve it, I’m not gonna knock it. I would’ve just stopped making reviews at that point because he can’t be true to the film but he’s probably got bills to pay and needs some sort of revenue hence why he still makes videos. I don’t really watch his reviews anymore for this reason, but I always check in on Shelby Oaks stuff and I’m excited for him.
@@MM-jc7uv It wasn't really selling his soul so much as he realized how goddamn difficult it was to make even a "terrible" film, so he wanted to not shit on his peers. I do miss some of the more scathing reviews, but I totally understand why he changed.

I also came from a religious cult. Movies were always my escape. I learned to speak english by watching american and british movies with subtitles in spanish (I'm in México). I've been working on making my own movies for a long time now and just recently I signed a contract for 2 movie scripts with a big producer down in México. Is not a certain thing, because, as you know, this business is insane, but I hope that eventually I too get to make an announcement like this one. CONGRATS DUDE!
